But why are people with excellent academic record not innovative or creative rather people who dropped out of school because of their inability to cope with school grades are the ones building the iPads (Steve Jobs), discovering genes (Mendel), developing window software (Bill Gate), discovering time travel and relativity (Albert Einstein) etc?

    WHY?

  106. News like these gladdens my heart.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Truth be told, its the likes of this brilliant young man who own the future...a time will come when the so-called best musicians in Nigera would be totally ignored cos of their inability to perform,a time comes as well when the perceived best thespians in this country would fade cos artistic talent is never enough. Guess what, its the genuises like Victor Olalusi who would be in the limelight for their professional skills and achievement. In the words of Kanye West "my momma told me to go to school and get a doctorate, something I could fall back to when all the glitz and glamour begins to fade"

    ReplyDelete
  108. We Nigerians, we too Know book but we can't produce anything outside of book. This guy wey in head dey like fry pan, why won't he come out with 5.0gpa. Na only book we know. It is obvious this days, that the guys who dress in suit works for the guys who wear geans and trousers. If na lie ask Bill Gate.

  157. Good for him and he has indeed done well BUT the question to ask is how does this translate into progress to the country or help us in catching up with the rest of the developed world speaking in terms of technologically breakthroughs and scientific achievements???? Year in, year out we keep hearing of how Nigerian students excel in schools abroad but I feel the reason things still remain the way they are in the country is because we still lack innovators and thinkers. These students as far as I am concerned probably have excellent memories but fall short in the field of innovation and discovery; crucial fields that we need to strive in should we ever have chance at overcoming our backwardness.

  173. There are discrepancies in ur report, how is it dat he had the best result in waec, 2004, and cowbell prize 2006. Because cowbell maths competition takes place when ure in ss2, which I suspect should be 2003,and I know for a fact that he didn't have the best 2006 OAU post ume result, that position was held by Olaleye Thomas with 331. Anyways I did hear of the guy, he's quite a genius.
