Controversy currently trails the parenthood of five-month-old twins who were presented at the United States of America’s embassy by their supposed parents for the procurement of visa.
This follows result of a DNA test ordered by the embassy which reports showed that the couple were not the biological parents of the twins as claimed.
Consequently, the couple have been arrested and are being interrogated at the Special Fraud Unit, SFU Milverton, for alleged child-trafficking.Although investigation, according to the unit, had not been concluded, there were indication that the children could have been bought for N1.8 million somewhere in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Following the discovery, the passport of the supposed father, Mr Adenuga Shoyibo, a Nigerian based in America has been seized pending the outcome of the investigation.
But Soyibo, who claimed to be a USA citizen, maintained that the children were theirs, disclosing that the twins came at a traditional home in Port Harcourt, 15 years after they got married.
He further revealed that he paid N1.8 million to the trado-medical practitioner for the herbs administered to his wife which eventually led to her conception.
But in the course of investigation, Commissioner of Police in charge of the unit, Mr Tunde Ogunsaki, was said to have detailed some policemen to accompany Elizabeth to the trado medical home where she claimed the babies were delivered, with a view to ascertaining her claim.
The CP said: “During investigation, detectives travelled to Port-Harcourt, Rivers State where the woman claimed she gave birth to the twins in a private small house. But on reaching Port-Harcourt, the woman claimed she could no longer locate the place, she also stated that she had no antenatal record anywhere as she did not attend any.
“Adenuga Soyibo, who claimed to be the father of the twins, on his own part, said he was also given local herbs that boosted his sperm count that produced the babies.
Both suspects claimed they could no longer trace the woman whom they paid the N1.8 million for the local herbs for the babies delivery. They also could not produce anyone who knew about the conception and the subsequent delivery of the babies.”
Mr Soyibo, however, said he met the woman, one Mrs Okoro, last year, adding that when the delivery date was near, he arrived the country November 19, 2012 and four days later his wife travelled to Port Harcourt where she was delivered same day and returned to their Ikorodu abode the following day.
He further stated that he did not go to Port Harcourt with his wife, saying he was too tired because of the journey.
Currently, Soyibo’s travelling documents have been seized pending the outcome of investigation. But the couple were released on bail, some days back, and advised to be visiting for further interrogation.
Abeg make them rest, their story doesn't add up. Woman goes to give birth after so long a time of childlessness and the husband isn't around and she doesn't announce her testimony of twins? Come on who are we kidding?
ReplyDeleteMost times these pple dnt know. They just fall prey into the hands of these child stealers. Pple can do any thing just to ve a child and as such they are deceived. There r many pregnancy scams in nigeria now.
DeleteThey pay huge amount of money n dey r being injected on so as to make their tummies bloated as if dey r preggy.
These scam centres r in Owerri n PH. May we nt fall prey into it

ReplyDeleteI believe in miracles but a lot of them you hear in churches these days are fake. Especially after long years of childlessness a couple welcomes a set of twins or triplets.. Hmmm, I know a few that collaborated with prophets and prophetesses but when I talked I was hushed and told' touch not my anointed'. Meanwhile, abia state and port Harcourt are famous for this business!
DeleteI just hope they dint steal those babies frm some poor woman. Wind haff blow...
ReplyDeleteIt's either this man was scammed by the woman or both of them have a lot more to tell. The fact that he sat his ass down in Yankee during the time his wife was preggy doesn't mean he shouldn't have verified ante natal visits, morning sickness, etc. Why go all the way to PH to deliver? Something doesn't add up jare.
ReplyDeleteOk nah
ReplyDeleteWonderful..Africa be Africa.
ReplyDeleteThis couple are thieves..there stories don't add up at all..did d traditional home/owner suddenly disappeared into oblivion??? And how can she not trace d place again? DNA test is hardly wrong. They should be properly dealt wit until dey show who sold d babies to them

Oga n Madam ur stories r not pure. Hw can u pay N1.8M to a person jst for herbs. Abeg look for a beta story. Maybe na d herbs wey u and ur wifey carry for una hands in d above pics. Its very clear that u bought d babies.
ReplyDeleteN u can no longer trace anybody u came in contact wt as a result of ur antenatal measures. Even d lady u paid N1.8M, u can no longer trace her place. Pls gada d birds n tell dm dz stories for dey wl b very interested.
Cheap Liars.
The story is confusing o!
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmmm...mothers this days are gtg crazy..hw can a woman carry pregnancy for long 9mths,go through d pains of labour and hv d mind to sell out dat child...God needs to block sm wombs..pure wickedness, not minding wht would b d outcm of d children...
ReplyDeleteU neva see anything sef. There are even factories where men impregnate women and sell. The market is hot. IVF is beyond the reach of many and so mago mago preggers don full town. Most of them have inferTility issues caused by the men (azospermia tinz) and so hubby go support
DeleteDem doe, e no go tey dem go talk true, no be naija police again?
ReplyDeletechild theft. Is there anything Nigerians aint capable of?
ReplyDeletethey are child traffickers......they should rot in jail......
ReplyDeleteLinda i belive their story na dem get the kids d herbs way dey purchase for fertility was purchased in bornu state and transport to port the herb is bomb-like in nature once taken it explodes and distorts genes and dna so na dem born the kids the drugs wiped away every trace of dna linking parents to kids its only in Nigeria that this drug can be procured it has Nafdac number and FDA and WHO has no knowledge of it
ReplyDeleteCock and bull story (season one). Next please...
ReplyDeleteim sure this is a lie too
ReplyDeleteIt is obvious the lady fooled the guy who probabaly sent the money while she arranged some twins. She may have schemed the guy so she could join him in America now he will lose his citizenship for their dubious plan.
ReplyDeleteNa wa o! Instead of them to say the truth wen katakata don burst that they bought the twins, they are still insisting that they are their biological children. How can u pay a whole 1.8m for herbs! These couple are being economical with the truth.
ReplyDeleteI cant imagine what these couple will be going tru right now,my prayer for you right now is that if you are really the biological parents or not, remember they are twins so therefore they are not easy to be toed with,God would use this as a point of contact to remember you in what you might be going tru right now ;and to those out there seeking for the fruit of the womb,as He answer hannah so shall it answer everyone of you in jesus name.God i thank you for mine and for all mothers out there cos his not by our power, thank you LORD.
ReplyDeleteI know.. Most childless couples do this. And it is always from either Abia State or PHC. My uncle's wife did this too! After almost 20 years of marriage without a child, she pretended to be pregnant. She fooled everyone including her own mother.. I confided in her husband whom i thought she was also fooling but he assured me that he was aware of it. when she was 'due', she travelled to PHC and came back with triplets! She even went to the church to testify.. Everyone was praising God for the miracle. But God cannot be mocked.. I don't know why they couldn't just go through the legal adoption process.
ReplyDeletenothing we nor go hear for linda blog
ReplyDeletecan u ask them the following question?
ReplyDeletedid they pay the money in cash or bank deposit?
what precise did they paid the money to the woman who they claim to be herb practioner?
ur wife is about to deliver for the first time and u re too tired to follow her to the hospital, after for 15 years, hmmmmmmmm
let the police give them 15 minute torture so that they can confess
abeg naija ways.. wentin be this ooo..

ReplyDeleteNa wa oh,its either they stole or adopted the babies. If they adopted, they would have said they truth. Na thunder go fire them if they stole them, which its actually turning out 2b. If she was pregnant truly, and 1st issue, the man didn't accompany her "just because he was ordinarily tired from journey"?owu ya.smh. Which man won't want 2 go with his wife 4 a baby they even paid 1.8m 4?smh.I wish am the lawyer 2 handle this case, they will rot in prison 4 cookn up such lies because its only a criminal that can do such. So did d woman give birth by herself?weren't there any1 that helped her give birth?or she pulled out the baby herself 4rm her womb and did the cutting herself?since they are trying to say she didn't go to hospital and no1 saw her deliver or even pregnant. Don't they have neighbors? Home and abroad?its a simple case, the police should just investigate on stolen twins in the "country" cos it might actually not be in port harcourt, the port harcourt they called might just be so the police won't find anything.post my comment.
ReplyDeleteInfact that 1.8m they mentioned is either the money they were paid by someone to get the baby for them. That is the money they agreed on selling the baby. Ekwensu araputa ha,dem com talk na 4 herbs.lol.
ReplyDeleteAction film. ..it have be for them. ..na niaja sha they go sort thr way out of police net with niara case closed. .
ReplyDeleteOmo porta. That's what they call them. They are everiwhere now, even in ekiti, the woman would never be pregnant all they do is to give them babies after nine months and u won't see any sign of pregnancy.they pay as much as that to get twins. May God help us.
ReplyDeleteReally, this is no news. Almost fell into this very trap/predicament last year. Bin married for 5yrs now n waiting on God. My hussy's Oga @ the top called him and more like ordered him dat we should both go to PH to see one 'Trado-'matron' whom he gave us her contact n all dat she would start treating us with herbs for like 2-3 months and thereafter we'd be preggers. Buh on further inquiry by me with Oga's wife , she told me dat usually the pregnancy will not show buh just a little bulge n dat if we go to the hospital for a scan, dey won't see anytin. Said dat i would have to deliver at her centre abi na clinic there in PH and the herbs will cost 500k while the delivery 300kHussy n I were not comfortable with the idea @ all. 'Which kind pikin be dat?' We had to look for several excuses to give dem . Up till today Oga @ the top is ever so hostile to hussy n does not relate wit him bcos we dint go.
ReplyDeleteSo really, I'm not suprised by this. It only makes the picture clearer. Plenty plenty women have done dis here in abj. Not new at all
But we choose to wait for our own special God given bundle. Not easy thou but God will prove his magnificence soon. Dt I biliv.
Amen. God will grant you your desires soonest.
DeleteI'm so glad u didn't do it. God will def ansa ur prayers ijn, keep waitin on him.
DeleteGod will surely see u tru, he is ever faithful!
DeleteAbegi, make una ask the woman very well, maybe she has gone to sleep with white man that pregnanted her.
ReplyDeleteLinda if u remember the other story of the two women, it was the same Mrs.Okoro.. Choi embarassment for nothing
ReplyDeleteI also heard abt a woman in Port Harcout that gives herbs to couple looking for children. They pay like 1.5m.soo I tink its the same Woman. The Police shld investigate well.I know someone that did the same thing.
ReplyDeleteU people shuld reason like intellects pls. If the couple were not confident the kids were theirs they definitely won't av gone for a DNA test. I've heard stories like dat in portharcourt where they give you herbs and tummy starts to grow, you'd believe u r pregnant and they tell you to come back after 9months. The woman MIGHT be guilty but the husband is sure innocent. Pls reason before commenting. Thanks.
ReplyDeletei stand to be corrected pls. Is it not possible that they adopted the children, or is adoption not legal? And if it is legal as i thought, and they failed to posit it that way, rather as their own blood children, then this is where I doubt whether they are couple at all. I choose to call them business partners pls. God knows!
ReplyDeleteYes oooooo! This is a true life story of what is going on here ryt now in ph..the woman is somwhere around Elelewo..she has a hospital along YKC-Elelewo road in Woji here in ph..the so called "Trado medical home" is on d RHS along Eleme Road b4 d first bridge on your way to rifinary from Eleme Jctn...ryt now it goes for 4.5m to get a child..the ealier the law enforcment know ebt it d better... Linda, I carry God take beg u. post my comment..biko!
ReplyDeleteWell everyday for d tif one day for d owna watch out for more
ReplyDeleteRosie Said.......Two things that would have happened,1.They bought the babies or 2.They adopted the babies.Buying babies is a crime, adopting them is not,so let them come clean. The truth will always set you free.
ReplyDeleteWear the shoe before u talk, anyhow God pls help all those waiting on you, so that there will be no stories like this, adoption in nigeria is not easy , people in children homes will not give out these babies to couples interested but prefer to sell the babies to the highest bidder, God will answer everybody with their heart desire. I pray d lord see these couples through, to adopt in nigeria people look at you like you are insane and parent inlaws dont want to hear it, even when it is very obvious for who has the problem, so think about it before writting thank you.

ReplyDeleteNot good enough. Why not adopt two lovely kids n do things the proper way?A lot of kids in orphanages are waiting to be loved n adopted. The couple's story doesn't sound true. They may be jailed for their actions.
ReplyDeleteAnon 6.57pm...May God look down upon you and your huzzy with mercy and give u your own children. The bible says that 'non shall be barren in the land'....God's word shall come to pass in ur life IJN.Your children will surround ur table IJN.As u have believed,so shall it be for u IJN.I join my faith with urs to trust God.It is well!!
ReplyDeleteTaaaaa! Both of them are farmers @d village in abia state. Who is talking about USA here? Dnt tell me you are blind
ReplyDeleteI hardly comment but have to on this one.My question is why would they accept a DNA test knowing fully well they are not the biological parents?????Like really.I don't get it
ReplyDeleteLinda I believe that this couple actually adopted this babies, cus there was one video u posted one time, when three women were caught in PH,wen they wanted to take the baby to lagos.and the mother of the baby claimed that she met 1 mrs okoro who gave her harps that she took, that after takin it she didn't knw when she gave birth, she tink d woman cut her or sumtin, I tink they should better go and look 4 this mrs okoro and arrest her. This couple are liars and they actually bought the babies 4rm her with that money.
ReplyDeleteBut wait oo, what if the real parents paid the fake parents to help their kids acquire citizenship. Have you thought about that?
ReplyDeletethese kids were stolen because their sory truly does add up. also, its surprisig. what happens to adoption. they should have just gone to adopt and be legitimate parents to these kids. there is sometin fishy. abeg the shd be detained. and for all those lookin for the fruit of the womb, the good lord will definantely bless you.
ReplyDeleteLmao....
ReplyDeleteI really feel 4 dis couple...May God c dem tru. Ppl jst come on here n blabb, childlesness can b very frustratin n can lead 1 in2 doin anytin.
ReplyDeleteBtw,since d biological parnts can afford 2 take care of d babies den I c no reason y ppl whu can, do so.Most times d kids re sold willinly 2 thoz dat buy! Altho,d couple shud hav jst acceptd dey adopted d twins!
#myopinion
its a pity this is happening to her she's a known person who has waited on the lord for years, she had a miscarriage some years back and since then couldnt concieve again and the useless sole called gold digger husband was busy sleeping around until she found out he has 3kids for different women.its unfortunate though but i wish they could just say the truth and move on with her life afterall adoption is legal, she's a wonderful lady.
ReplyDeleteOnly God knows d truth!
ReplyDeleteFor all those critics is an India adage which says, "May I not criticize my neighbour until I walk in his mocassin".
ReplyDelete"A drowning man will catch at a straw". Childless couples can go to any length - spiritual, traditional and even IVF, BUT God dispenses. While groping in darkness they may attempt any solution proferred to them, one of which is the Port Harcourt herbal home.
Do you blame couples who are stigmatized and jeered as barren?
Now that its obvious on the paternity test, the couple can formalise the adoption so that the twins can have what their "parent" may not have given.
Illegal adoption. Its very common in Phc and I have seen many women that has taken this path. They take herbs and pretend to be preggy while the matron arranges for teenage girls who are either kidnapped from their villages or lured into it. Boys or men are recruited to sleep and impregnate these teenagers and upon delivery are made to sign off these babies with sometimes tokens of N50,000 or less and they are handed over to the highest bidder like the couple in question. This is what the couple had done. they shd stop the crap that its their biological babies. Its rampant in Phc (Oyigbo) and Abia State (Aba).
ReplyDeleteGod i and my hubby really need a child but may it be from u and may it not take long in Jesus name Amen ......this year is our yr
ReplyDeleteAmen to ur prayers. May the Lord have mercy n come to the aid of barren women.
ReplyDeleteOh wat a pity
ReplyDeleteMy people! How many times did I call u nay! Do not judge, I am a leaving witness to this, my cousin went through and gave birth to twins believe it or not this is Africa IVF, if to say the technology came from Oyinbo alot of people would have been awarded doctorate degree, why we no dey value our own things? If not made in Uk or US then it's not original. We are too materialistic, look at Ibo made in the 70's if we've all encouraged and patronized well we'll not be traveling to Dubai, Turkey, UK to mention few. We are completely brain washed and the attitude of if not from Oyinbo it is not originally Should stop, has any one witness African Juju? if not why Churches con dey full? The couple in the picture looked very geniune and inoccient to me, they will not be that silly to have gone to embassy if the are not biological parent. To does condemning the husband for not travelling with the wife pls tell me that u be Oyinbo, how many husband dey dey labour room? Have we forgotten our culture? Cos the matter don become international?
ReplyDeleteMaybe they got the babies from the baby factory in owerri...
