  2. This video adds flavour to a song that wasn't too top notch considering M.I pedigree, it puts the icing on the cake to the song. Lovely video with a story path.

Its official! Most male Nigerian artists are self haters. Modern day slavery mentality. I understand this video was most likely done in Europe, but what happened to the black girls there? The day i see white male artist and other non black male artist purposely put a large quantity of black women in their videos is the day I'll shut up.
Seriously, its starting to seem like video after video is the same thing. As a black African woman, i'm sick of it. When more than 95% of your fan base and the people that buy your music are black Africans (including black women), who are the white women for? To show they can go abroad or what? Its a damn shame if you ask me. Black girls can't even get close to leading role in a white person's video not to talk of more than 5 seconds camera time, yet Nigerian artists will patronize the hell out of them. Shame on them!
I think its high time Nigerian and African women stopped patronizing music of artists like this and they'll feel how much it hurts in their pockets. To hell with all of them and their house Negro slave mentality.
And for anyone that wants to insult me, ifgaf!!

  45. Worst i've heard from MI. Gosh i was super-excited to listen too. The flow doesn't even sound like his usual dope flow. I dunno about this one.

BTW, whats up with the recent craze with naija artists using oyibos wey no even send them in their vids? They dont patronize ur songs or even understand what u're saying. Inferiority complex g'egbu unu.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I LOVE IT!!!! The undisputed, the greatest, the most incredible!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Alicia, u hit the nail on the freaking head! I was just thinking the same. Its becoming such a norm these days. Who are they trying to impress tho?? To show that they have arrived or what? These people will not hire them for shows or even attend their concerts neither will they buy their albums or stan for them. Yet, their inferior minds are too dense to comprehend how ridiculously stupid they come off flaunting people who don't send them.

There is no individuality in these videos....just a "crowd mentality" theme in all of them.....their mates are doing, so let them do too. Ironic for MI who made a song titled "crowd mentality"...u'd think he'd know better.

Just This past weekend alone, i have watched 5 new vids from wande coal, k-cee, Bracket, olamide, duncan mighty and now MI with the same ish. They are acting like touts who are seeing money for the first time, and finally managed to travel out and are tripped by everthing western. I won't flinch a bit if the reverse was the case. But u don't see white artists flaunting their asses either.

  48. MI has changed from his early days o! He was more about content and substance. He seems so superficial with inferiority complex in this video. His flow has gotten wack too.

  61. Wow. I never knew that M.I. had such a serious slave mentality. I thought that he was different. Does putting half caste, pale light skinned women, and white women in your videos somehow make you feel superior? M.I. as black as you are, you'd think you'd appreciate your own women. We know your mother too much be very black. You're a bloody idiot M.I. A bloody idiot. You hate yourself. You hate your own dark skin. You probably want to go and mate with a white woman to go and have fair skinned children. You are sick in the head and don't have the ability to see that your whole heart and mind is filled with self hatred. You think you are doing big things? Is that it? You look STUPID. Like you are ashamed of your own women.

  65. Linda biko u NEED to make a post and address this issue of naija male artists constantly using oyibo babes as main interests in their vids lately! Isnt this madness??!

    ReplyDelete
  66. If after a three years 'self-imposed' hiatus this is what the great MI can come up with, then I'm really sorry for what ever is left of his music career. This poor chap has definitely taken his eyes off the ball. Not only was the actual song in itself lacking in flow and depth as his songs are usually known for, the video was patronizing and obfuscating to say the least. We get it guys...you's are all making money and living the high life, but can one of you please get creative again and start making some good music and innovative videos. And as for the needless white girls in the videos, nuff said!
