    Linda the one celebrated weeks before is actually British mothering Sunday which is actually a church of England tradition which has spread. Its different from the one today celebrated by more countries and actually American led. African countries copy instead of having their own chosen days thus the confusion

    MOther's day is celebrated in Britain on d 4th sunday in lent. Since we Nigerians were colonised by the Britains,we mst celebrate with d Britains.americans celebrate theirs on d 2nd sunday In May... So Nigerians, our own mother's day is on d 4th sunday lent
