Foursquare Gospel Church building at Ojodu Berger collapses

A three-storey building situated at 14 Bashiru Street Ojodu Berger collapsed this afternoon killing at least one person. Two others have been brought out alive as rescue efforts continue to extract people trapped under the building. The building is said to belong to Foursquare Gospel Church.

It was a 3-storey building but the church recently started to add a fourth storey when it suddenly collapsed.

    3. Its always a bad idea to add more floors to a foundation that originally held fewer flats isn't it?

  9. That's what we get trying to be greedy. You don't just "add" another building on top of one simply because you can afford it.it requires prior tests carried out to ascertain if the foundation will hold and stress tests carried out on materials used earlier so as to avoid these kind of "Human error-induced" disasters. It is High time we learnt from our mistakes.RIP to lost souls..

  22. I think d owners should be sued to court for negligence and manslaughter, or even murder!!! Its high time we Nigerians start taking legal action on such foolish 'human induced disasters' and get a handsome damages paid and such murderers jailed for like 10 years
