Brymo confirms he's left Chocolate City

First there were rumours that Brymo had left Chocolate City, then the record label released a statement denying the rumour, and now Brymo has gone on Twitter to set the record straight. Like Jesse Jagz, he has also left Chocolate City, though the record company is insisting he still has a valid contract with them.

He still has three years and two albums to deliver, that’s what his contract says‘, a rep for the label said.

  8. I really dont blame these guys for leaving choc city.. there must be a silly sharing formular btw the execs and the label mates! when small kids like davido and wizkid are their own bosses and raking in millions.. big boys like brymo mi and the rest are prolly given 25% or even lower.. they have families to feed and i dont blame them!
Best of luck brymo! abeg do your thang!

  18. Eva left Storm, where is she? Jesse left Choc Ciy, Where is he? This artist don’t know what they benefit from being on a reputable platform. Even the soooo talented Wizkid left EME and returned. Olamide, D’prince and Brymo all dropped albums at the same period last year. They all didnt do so well but with an appropriate and strategis follow-up and cordial relationship with press people, OAP’s and fellow industry mates, Olamide and D’Prince have been able to gain grounds again.

Brymo likes to feel like a Young Fela (Rebel) and we have seen the likes of Eedris AbdulKareem and Blackface thread that path. Where are they now?

If the content of your albums is music that appeals to party people and the ladies, why is it that all you talk about is bad leadership on twitter. I think it is not about his Label. He is simply misplaced. And its all in the name of feeling “DEEP”. I feel sorry for his career.

  56. What car is Brymo using? Oga MI is riding Bentley. Only a fool would remain here. What car does Jesse Jags use? MI the short man devil. Smart guy using profit of poor singers to buy Bentley.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I don't blame any of those guy leaving choc city. Because where music industry is going to now nobody knows it.. Perhaps he also want to start is own record label. 70% of them have their own label that why they leave their group. Nah only naija you go see say musician plenty pass their fans.

  60. Record labels should try and pacify their artistes and not give them crumbs...these people work round the clock to sing good music and you want them to feel okay with the little returns they get??? I think they need to see how fast american artistes rake in millions of dollars after just 1 hit album..ours manage to buy 1 tokunbo car and leave in rented flats..abeg the guy get every right to search for greener pastures joor

    ReplyDelete
  61. Seems there are no more chocolate left in the city

    ReplyDelete
  62. Record labels in Nigeria never work because they never put the artiste in front, instead they put the label execs, the same thing our fucking Govt. does, always putting themselves before the people. THE GREMLIN HAS SPOKEN!

    ReplyDelete
  63. his career was static and he was deteriorating....its gud he left on time, aldoe we dunno if he'll be able 2 stand..dis is wat happend 2 GT,wen he decided 2 leave,it was late

    ReplyDelete
  64. If chocolate city takes him to court, he will lose, remember soul E?Except there is a clause or breach of contract, then he can argue it in court...

    ReplyDelete
  65. BRYMO IS ONE OF THE VERY BEST ARTISTS IN NIGERIA! IF OTHER LABELS DO NOT GRAB HIM ASAP THEN THEY MUST BE VERY DUMB. BRYMO IS A TALENTED MOFO!
