Theses arseholes have been stealing from us for decades thay can't believe people are starving. EYE SERVICE MY ARSE, that PUBLIC SERVICE dear!!!!!!

Trust me,that train station has got secret service littered everywhere, don't be fooled!Even that guy sleeping may have been pretending!

The difference is that they probabLy wanted to experience the train service for some reason or had to get somewhere fast and since blowing siren like Nigeria is not an option, they chose the train ride.

      At d end of d day,its politics!

  9. That is leadership. Even if there's no kidnapping and all, most of our leaders here are too arrogant. Except for the Governor of example HE Babatunde Fashola. Even our president can't travel by road from Abuja to Kogi. We still have a long way to go in Nigeria.

  16. It's one thing I admire so much about the British Secret Security Services.
You would be amazed to learn how totally maxxed out security will be around him.
On that train, In that train station.
But they do it with so much sophistication.

I really like the British approach.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Either ways Linda shame on Nigeria . British prime minister stands in the train, shows he's humble, a virtue totally absent in all our leaders. So England is safer than Nigeria....isn't that as a result of good leadership....With the level of insecurity in Nigeria, no leader is advised to board a train or any public transports for that matter...who made our country insecure? who should ensure security???

    ReplyDelete
  18. Co-passenger are all MI6 undercover agents. E easy? Well its a good PR stunt sha. It makes holding public office less glamorous and reduces attempt to be corrupt.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Now this is leadership.....a leader remembers that he's still part of the people. Trust Nigerians....once they get in to a seat of power of some sort...they assume thy're above everyone else...ugh.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Inshort, our leaders are not humble.
You should have gone straight to the point.
    Its true anyways.
Its in Nigeria that you'd see a LG chairman with a convoy as long as a train.
Still this same Nigeria that you'd see a councillor fighting for money extolled from motorists.
Forget kidnappings, its only God that protects.
Even if you got the whole Nigerian army around you.
If you go die, you go die.
    Bunch of lunatics.

Anyway. Who wants to kidnap our leaders? Like i didn't even know we had a Minister of Aviation till some woman came out of the woodworks talking about "Dana is Banned" then 2 weeks later "sorry i changed my mind"

I didn't know Akwa Ibom state had a governor let alone how he looked till 2 face wedding.

So Linda who is gonna kidnap these invisible people?
Don't blame kidnap on their greed, stealing poor peoples money and giving nothing back. Nigerian government is an organised MAFIA.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Linda. You got it mixed up. It is not that they can travel without security because they do not have kidnapping problems. It is that they do not have these issues because their leaders are not pretentious, money hungry, evil, sadistic ass holes who want to watch their own country burn to the ground. A man once said, "A developed country is not one in which the poor have cars but where the rich can use public transportation." I am a Nigerian who works in a firm in Boston. I lived in Nigeria till I came to uni in Yankee. Everyone from HR to the partners in the firm take the subway. I love Nigeria die but it needs to give me a reason bigger than Suya and pounded yam to return home.

  33. This can never happen in Nigeria, our Leaders dictate how to be treated, especially when they r loaded, they believe they r gods, there's nothing called Humility among our Leaders, even if there's, it's very Rare, As u worship the Husbands, you also adore the ground their Wives walk on, that's Nija mentality, 'We r not on the same level' And in God'sight Everybody's Equal, Death is only thing shows that Equality! The 2nd pic, is Virgin train @ Euston, and the same applies.

If it was the Mayor of London, then u don't see security around him... Been on d tube with d current Mayor, with his foldable bike and Ken Livingstone, the former Mayor (he took tube most of the time anyway while he was a mayor). No biggy.

Rihanna, took d tube as well, but her's was a PR stunt.

The tube and trains are fast to get u around quick without traffic, hence the reason u find some personality on the them...

British citizens in uk suffer far more than 9ja, if ur in doubts, go live in uk and see for urself.

    ReplyDelete
  73. You surely can do better than that Linda because before kidnapping became a way of life in Naija, our leaders - including other African leaders - have always rolled in pomp pageantry. If you must know, even the Queen used to drive herself around when not on official engagements until she became too old.
Our leaders are a bunch of mean egotistical materialists, period.

    ReplyDelete
  74. This is Humility at its fullest. Simple straight and on point. Not even a counselor in 9JA would do this.

    ReplyDelete
  75. this is not a sign of humility. It is more of a demonstration of possibilities that a decent society constantly strives to achieve - guarantee of peace and security of its people regardless of their position in life. David Cameron definitely is not humble and is incapable of humility, looking at his background. You cant be a white British, went to the best primary school in the world (Eton) and the best university in the world (Oxford) and then be a son of a multi-millionaire in Britain and yet be humble. Fashola is probably more humble than David Cameron, but can Fashola ride in a Molue or Danfo from Ojuelegba to hos office Lagos and carry bag? The answer is no. No that he may be unwilling but he cannot dear it with the hungry thugs, area boys and kidnappers all over the place.Cameron's action is not about himself; it is a manifest display of what is possible in his society, unlike our jungle here. Now you know why our leaders can work freely on Oxford street, Green Park and Bond street, but cannot step out of their bullet proof car in Marina. Society progresses when leaders know and can identify with the people. The purpose of his action is to give hope, purpose and meaning to the citizenry. And that precisely is the moral logic behind the theory of social contract. It tells them that a moral order exists; one in which the most productive members of society are adequately rewarded. It proposes that success is neither an accident nor the whimsical gift of capricious gods, but the logical consequence of talent and endeavour. Citizens come to believe that they are not at the mercy of fate or caprice but truly captains of their own destiny. The autonomy of conscience and the will to create unleashed by this understanding is the wellspring of progress and innovation. What results from all this is a virtuous cycle in which achievers become exemplars of infinite possibilities inspiring more people to pursue excellence thereby creating yet more exemplars who spawn yet more achievers. Conversely, even when talented individuals are hamstrung by forces beyond their control, such as the economic status of their parents, welfare systems are in place to provide a financial cushion for such disadvantaged but promising persons. Unemployment benefits and allied forms of social security are meant to provide a springboard for the disadvantaged to compete for honours. They ensure that no citizen is ever denied economic or social opportunities on the grounds of ancestral underachievement. No generation should suffer for the sins or limitations of its forbears. Individuals will succeed or fail by their own hands. In essence, the principle of meritocracy is the moral engine that keeps the most advanced societies and economies of the world racing ahead.. That unfortunate;y is lacking in our jungle here.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Well the dont have kidnappers cos they have built a functional not dysfunctional society. White man always wiser than blacks.

  78. Fake money brings fake egotistical behavior and all those Nigerians whether politicians or musicians or actors that surround themselves with gun wielding thugs and praise singers are all fake. Why is it that in properly functioning countries people in power dont have a need to fake power? The mayor of New York City which is 10 times richer than the entire Nigeria takes the train like most of their Mayors and legislators. Perhaps because of all the assasinations in their history the Americans protect the President of the United States heavily. But even then I remember watching the convoy of the President of the US fly by in New York once. Only one limo with one SUV and a couple policemen on bikes. No Sirens. If na Nigeria 30 cars would announce Goodluck's arrival.

  83. We all sound a little bit biased about the potential of Nigeria to do what is obtainable in the western world. let us check out Sir Tafa Balewa and co of olden days, dey were leaders who after their tenure had no houses of thier own in their village not to talk of in the city. They walked on the streets without guards, went to meetings on public transport etc. its just so corruption is the mother of the day these days. God Help Us

  84. Linda u know what, we do not have leaders. Nigeria is just woking and worshiping some microscopic few that are there not for our inerest but against it. they only work for their family and associates. WHEN THE WANT TO PUNISH US, THE REFER TO UK, US and developed countries BUT when they want to embezzle or do things for thier selfish inerest, they dont remember those leaders.Ordinary Local govt councilor siren will push u into a ditch if u dont get off the road fast. Refinery and petrochemical tech is the simplest tech in the world, still ours are not working and the sold the petrchemical industry which is suppose to be a national pride, they call it privatization, but we all know the story. But they will not stop e shaddy constituency allowance bcos they knw what they make from it. Our leaders instead of brainstorming with stakeholders, the carry scissors week in week out in the name of commissioning. I cant remember the last time i saw Bush< Obama < Tony Blair or cameroon doing that as against getting abreast with national issues. The country where 1.6trillion naira (16million naira in 100,000 places)was not accounted for appropriately in petroleum subsidy and the pple involved are sill discussing national issues bcos hey are finaciers of political party. They didnt cpy US or UK>>>> that have cap on the max ammount individual can donate o a party. But the bill to deduct our salary in th name of contributory pension was hastly passed. pls it is a morning, i need to be busy bcos we our living in dis country now is based on hopeless hope.

  91. When leaders do the right things nobody witch hunts them... Cameron is free to walk the streets of london without fear because he is giving service not the other way round like our Nigerian leaders.

  92. Humility indeed! Toff politicians will fool some, but not all.
Anon April 3, 2013 at 5:09 PM; Congestion charge? That you pay congestion charge doesn't mean the PM pays. Firstly, he lives in Westminster so he's exempt. Secondly, like The Police and some others, irrespective of where he lives, as the PM, he's also exempt!!

  98. In the beautiful words of Micheal jackson, i say SPEECHLESS, exactly how i feel......now im lost for words and seeing this almost makes me loose hope for this country. This is simply a demonstration of a very advanced mentality in white people, little wonder God allowed them colonize the blacks, i JUST IMAGINE IF BLACK PEOPLE WERE COLONIAL MASTERS AND WHITES were the colonized. God would have just wiped out the world since

  100. There are security service personnel around him. I met him at the airport and he was completely surrounded by them, I think this is just a publicity stunt to help with his gut wrenching budget cuts.

  101. I see why most of you don't do well in school,olodos...Every man of his cadre needs security and all that, let's try and always learn something from issues please.Syrians that are current on civil war lived better than Nigerians quote me anywhere, they have had constant light for several decades, good roads and other amenities.Where does the 120M United State dollars our leaders declare the country makes every day goes to¨?and for them to have declared that you and I knows its more, the guilty they said are afraid..........That's why you see them with Army of bodyguards....

  102. PUBLICITY STUNT, HOW MANY PASSENGERS ARE THERE. THEY ARE ALL SECURITY, TELL THE PM TO TAKE THE TRAIN DURING THE RUSH HOUR

    ReplyDelete
  103. Publicity stunt. Yes I live in the UK and know how exclusive these guys live their lives. I don't have a problem with bodyguards but dont use obvious stunts like this to put 9ja down. There are a million other ways you can do that anyway.

  104. first and foremost this is PR, although it is also their way of life. their not poor mentally unlike our african unexposed mentally poor leaders. even the bible says it pride comes before a fall. humility is a great policy.
