Terrorists' Lagos hideout owned by Bayelsa State Govt - Monarch

The house where security operatives arrested nine suspected terrorists, including a Chadian, in Ijora-Badia, a Lagos mainland suburb, belongs to Bayelsa State government, a monarch claimed.

Yesterday Ojora of Ijora, Oba Fatai Oyeyinka Aromire, in whose domain soldiers attached to Lagos internal security outfit – Operation-MESA, arrested the suspects accused the government of Bayelsa State of complicity in the presence of terrorist suspects in Nigeria’s economic hub.

Oba Aromire blamed the government for abandoning the property, a development he said encouraged miscreants to use it as a hideout.

He said all the efforts made in the past by him and security agencies to get the Bayelsa government to either demolish the building or lease it out, considering the dangers of leaving it empty, yielded no result.

There were no comments from the Bayelsa government whose official promised “to get back to” The Nation.

The royal father, who frowned at the discovery of ammunition, including two AK47 rifles in his community, said it was God who saved the state from the suspected terrorists.

The Ojora spoke during a courtesy visit of Hausa leaders, led by the Chairman of the Council of Arewa Chiefs in Lagos, Alhaji Kabiru Garuba, to his palace.

    1. Abi! The gej government has been involved with BH from the beginning. It is part of a larger strategy. Ask and I will tell you what I know for sure...it is sad that he finally wants to start on Lagos. PDP will not use force to rule lagos.

  19. are you saying owned and abandoned by a Bayelsan or owned by Bayelsa govt? How can Bayelsa govt own such a structure for what purpose. The matter is beyond joke, please

  20. People in this country talk like illerates...for the fact Bayelsa govt owns the property doesn't mean he is aiding and abating 'miscreants'..people should think b4 they talk

  21. Why do they have to go to a state govt to rent a hideout. Foreigners are coming to bomb a state in Nigeria, do not even hide their intentions, went another state to rent a hideout for their heinous crime. They are not even afraid that they would be detected. How bold could they be? Unless the other state or someone from the other state is their financier.

  22. If the biafran want to go let them have a referendon than supporting BH in destroying life, government never abandon it property for god sake, they 've destroy so many life in the name of religion

  23. Why is a state govt keeping a dilapidated bldg in a run down area. All other states have their bldgs at Ikeja, Ikoyi and other nice areas. Why is Badyelsa state different?

    ReplyDelete
  24. If truly Bayelsa State owns the building in such poor condition. Nigerians should read the handwriting on the wall. Of course, an influential person or a group from Bayelsa must have been using that place as hideout for terrorists. If law should take it's course, definitely the governor of bayelsa and GEJ have questions to answer about BH. It not impossible for a president to mastermind (terrorist) attacks, so that accused fingers can be pointed at his opponents.
