Rita Dominic, Uche Jombo, Kate Henshaw & Funke Akindele O in Tinapa for short film

A-list actresses Uche Jombo, Rita Dominic, Kate Henshaw and Funke Akindele have been in Tinapa, Cross Rivers state for the past two weeks. The actresses have been posting photos of their time there on their respective Instagram pages but have never said what they are actually doing there. 

I got the exclusive scoop for you...:-). The four actresses are in Tinapa for a  project which is a part reality show and part movie that EbonyLife TV, owned by TV host Mo Abudu, is putting together. The reality show/movie is being shot at Tinapa resort.

EbonyLife TV will debut on DSTV any moment from now and Nollywood is one of the few channels the CEO, Mo Abudu, wants to use to drive the channel and close sources have said her choice of Nollywood will be ‘new Nollywood’

The show sees the actresses collaborate in the production of a brilliant and pulsating short film that spotlights the plight of women across Africa who have to bear the pains of domestic abuse.

      To all those other confused folks shouting about the meaning of a "nymph", there are up to 3 meanings of that word, one of them is the larva of an insect, another means a very beautiful young woman attributed to greek mythology. That's the one I used here. Another word for a nymph in that regard is "houri"
      Synonyms of that word include a goddess, a fairy which are all beautiful.

      You all should try and be upgrading your Lexis from time to time pls.

      It also means a beautiful young woman.

    I love our semi-veteran actors and actresses, but when will we start seeing more new faces? And i'm not talking the low budget Asaba movies.
    I.E the way Nse Ikpe came from nowhere in 2008 to becoming a household name. (although we know if she wasn't friends with Emem Isong she would not have been given the time of day)
    I'm saying this because our actresses are aging and its been the same continuous faces since 2001-2003 at least. That's 10-12 years, abeeegggg.
    Nollywood needs to have more open casting calls because i'm so sick of seeing the same faces everywhere
