ReplyDeletehahahaha,,..land sounds weird to me too...olding days tinx...hahaha
DeleteLand in Abuja is a great asset even worth more than all the monetary rewards they gave them. Remember FCT is different from Abuja, so I don't take it as weird. Even my unknown village, if they give land, I will gladly accept it. It comes with other documents before if becomes legal ownership. Discover the Secret to losing weight and burning tummy fat
DeleteWow..these boys are made. They should spend it wisely plus dnt think national awards should be given too cheaply!
ReplyDeleteYet we don't have electricity or roads, stupid people with misplaced priorities. The rich get richer! Its only in naija dat such bullshit happen.

DeleteMOONLIGHT Says: The way money is being dished out you will think that the average citizen in Nigeria is living a decent life. No one is against rewarding success, but do it cognizant of the hardship the people you are ruling are facing. Needless to say that the money is not yours. And for those donating, could you also donate to scientific research to help provide solutions to medical challenges?

ReplyDeleteChei. See competition between the Billionaires and federal govt. We know say this boys try for naija.... But is this really the right way to celebrate this? I never witness such being done in western world. Everybody trying to buy favor from the federal govt. Smh.
ReplyDeleteThey all deserve the honour.the honor is more for Nigerians. United we stand
ReplyDeleteWhat primitive behavior. National Orders for doing their assignment. We have no respect of achievement actual achievements....in other advanced nations you must have promoted the nations culture for years and been a goodwill ambassador before they bestow such a national title. Disgusting and I weep.
ReplyDeleteHonor well deserved. Thank you, Mr President, for applying the commomwealth properly for once. Elumelu, Adenuga, Dangote, Ovia, et al; thank you. @ Keshi, these gifts and honor should guarantee your services to the national side for some time. All's well that ends well.

Congratulations Super Eagles. You truly deserve the Honours and gifts you receive. Now let's go and qualify for the Big one - the World Cup
ReplyDeletewww.AfroBizNews.blogspot.com
To those saying d reward is too much, I bow for una o. Y won't dy be honored. Wat u should av be advising is dat dy should spend it wisely incase of injury days n old age. Dy deserve more, bettr dan d politician
ReplyDeleteWhat will they do and please people please...had it bin d came up without the cup..dis same pple hia that re talking rubbish will say they re useless eagles..now they re victorious n back..and the nation decides to honour them..they say its too much!haters! If u don't like go and play inside shit! Or beta still 3rd mainland bridge dey..jump across it!*sips alomo*
ReplyDeleteAll those complaining that the honours n awards are too much, why don't u do something niger will be proud of n u will be giving such prefrences instead of coming under th names of anonymous n hating. U will still be the fools to critisize jona n nigeria if these wonderful boys re not properly rewarded*smh* for all them hater. Don't go n think of something useful to do with ur lifes be there badmouthing other pipo's good deeds.
ReplyDeleteLinda is stupid sha to post my comment na wahala for her.
ReplyDeleteFolks questioning land, abeg the govt always gives land, they've been doing it for many years. Better them, than the govt folks, who share Abuja land among themseves!!
ReplyDeleteIts great money but people like ferisony saying they are made, need to broaden their mind. This money can go easily in 1 yr.
As for natl honours, we've long made it cheap, so what difference does it make? If folks like nollywood stars can get it, why not them.
If they didn't give them complain, they gave them another set of complaints! Haba, Nigerians is there anything or gesture we won't complain about?
ReplyDeleteCelebrate other people's success and use it as a source of inspiration to work hard on your own so that when your success comes, you'll be celebrated. All these bitterness, beefs and hate will not lead anyone anywhere.
Well done Jonah, Elumelu, Dangote and Co. Learnt a lot from you guys..
wonderfull inspiration for future and present Nigerian footballers.Thumbs up for presido and wel meaning Nigerians for there suport.we are xpectin better result come worldcup

I'm happy for u guys. God bless the giver and God bless d receiver.
ReplyDeleteThis is rubbish and a slap in the faces of Nigerians! As much as i agree that the national team should be rewarded but doling out this kind of money to them for doing what they should ordinarily be doing (winning competitions) is just trash. We have people who cannot afford to eat a meal or feed their children, hardworking people who just havent been fortunate in life, we have bad roads, poor electricity, minimum wage that cannot feed families comfortably and Jonathan has the effrontery to dole out OUR money in a useless way!!!!!God punish you stupid man!
ReplyDeleteWow!!national honors for playing ball?!!n all dat money?!yet some state projects don't av enouf funds!!
ReplyDeleteGod is watching all of u o,Elemelu,Dangote,Jona, all of you!! It is well
hmmmm... money and land probably in order...but National Awards...dats unnecessary o. haba wat would he now give dem if dey mistakenly win the World cup.na wa o!
ReplyDeleteMisplaced priority
ReplyDeleteBoys don Hammer. National honours. No bi small thning
ReplyDeleteVery sad how our country misplace priorities. There is nothing wrong in awarding achievement but haba not while we lack so much in every other aspects and to think of the rate at which poverty eats Nigerians up everyday.Jonathan and his crew should be ashamed
ReplyDeleteAm happy with this, for those saying all this monies" 5 million isn't too much, some of the players have so much more!!!What's 5 million to Amokachi who once had a private jet,or 10 million to steve Keshi??The real price for me is the land, let's hope its choice area, thanks to the Big men that gave 1 million Dollars in total,I hope they have foundation to help the masses ooo, once again kudos to the players, they did us proud and brought glory to our Land....
ReplyDeleteIjim ovia ,elumelu, dangote and adenuga.sure you guys are sowing seeds into Nija government,,,,una Weldon....God will continue to answer your prayers tru oil communication, contracts echetram echetram
ReplyDeleteBut serzly is that am beefing them or what? Its their national assignment for crying out loud. Must they now b over pampered? So, had it bn that they were not promised some goodies, they wouldn't av done well abi? Just sayin. Happy for them tho..and serzly they tried sef!
ReplyDeleteI am glad they were given gifts and all but isn't it becoming too stupid to be dashing pple CON, MON, and all that titles? And plots of Land? This is just crazy I swear... I am not beefing the eagles but this is too much. Waste of money that u can use to do good things for the country. May God help us o. Happy for the boys tho
ReplyDeleteGiving honour to whom it is due...the boys and technical crew has made us proud as a nation... As for the cash, I rest my case, I think the home base n technical crew will value it more cus Mikel's monthly wage is more than that.
ReplyDeleteTHE SOUTH EASTERNERS PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF YOUR NAPPER BROS
ReplyDeleteBut serzly is that am beefing them or what? Its their national assignment for crying out loud. Must they now b over pampered? So, had it bn that they were not promised some goodies, they wouldn't av done well abi? Just sayin. Happy for them tho..and serzly they tried sef!
ReplyDeleteTHE SOUTH EASTERNERS PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF YOUR NAPPER BROS
ReplyDeleteAmaka why, nna nah to go dey play football
ReplyDeletec as dem just dey dish out our hard payed taxes as if it comes cheap!!
ReplyDeleteEverybody sayin dey dished out money wrongly shld sharrrap.is 10m naira 2 much 4 each person after bringing such honour to Nig after 19yrs.I am sure if a country in Europe won d world cup, their govt will do more than wat our govt did,u all know how our players prefer 2 play 4 international teams, dis is a way 2 encourage dem 2 always come back home whenever dey re needed 2 play.nd yes dey do give dem plots of land in choice areas
ReplyDeleteOMG all these jst cos the won. & poverty is here dealing with me. Its well. Congrats once again Eagles buh d tis gifts sha
ReplyDeleteNonsense, so if the wing world cup wetin, we go hand dem keys to Nigeria? They will just siddon belleful and no play well again.
ReplyDeleteStrange things happen in that country.
Where all dis gift been dey? tell me why super eagles will not want to play and die on d field if dem no win. and now to d Super! super!! super!!! EAGLES, to whom much is given much is expected, we look forward to more beautiful and better outings in d nearest future......congratulation dear super eagles so much love....
ReplyDeleteNigerians amaze me ple still talking abt d less previleged no mather how any1 gives to charity it will never be enough, but what has that got to do with this nigerian football has been a mess and now this they deserve this and even more it's 19 years since we won the naton cups. So other than hide under people are suffering umbrella just accept it's jeolosy and hate cos if they were ur bros or boyfriend only then would u have admitted that d fed gov has done well thanking and motivating ahead world cup qualiflnals. And if reli don't care if nigeria wins or losess then it's a shame cos even chirst encouraged us to be patrotic
ReplyDeleteWhen they see stories about people that actually need the money, they'll just look the other way....its sad.I am not saying the Super Eagles don't deserve em tho....
ReplyDeleteNa only Amokachi and the home based players go need this kain money. What is 5m to Mikel Obi? Mikel go just dash one of him babes. Afterall, he makes more than double that in a week..
ReplyDeleteOn a more serious note sha, I understand that these guys deserved it and all that but what will now happen if they win World Cup? How does Nations Cup change all the useless problems that these politicians and their friends are causing the ordinary Nigerian people on the streets? This President needs to be flogged walahi..
@ Anon 3:02:
ReplyDeleteWeep more for your ignorance than for Nigeria. In advanced countries like the UK national honors are given to athletes. I tire for Nigerians. Its almost impossible to please you guys. After 19yrs of going without any relevance whatsoever in a game we once dominated, these boys gave us a reason to rejoice. There is no amount or honor given to the boys that would suffice as being too much. They truly deserve every penny they receive. How much is N5m to the boys that play internationally? I bet they earn more than that in a week. Good for the home based players most of whom have gone without pay for sometime. If e pain u go buy soccer boots and change career!!!!!
na wa oooo! see as these boiz jus go hammer, just like that. Kaai!!! me sef go like play next nations cup o! i no mind dey technical crew sef.. lmao!
ReplyDeleteErm, what did they give the paralympians who also excelled??
ReplyDeleteSorry but that's just stupid......invest in the sport! No one said don't reward the eagles for bringing the cup home but make sure we don't have to wait another 19 years before they carry the cup again.... Ugh why must everything always end with money money money money... Seriously doesn't speak well of us a nation!
ReplyDeleteI don talk am say my pikin go play football.. God abeg bring my desire to pass IJN, Amen!
ReplyDeleteGood for dem but is dis real let's be honest we dey nija wld dey furfil deir promises 93 and 96 winner dem promise dem land uptil now I hear say dem neva give dem who is foolin who ! Nija govt and una sure say adenuga go pay?? E. Can promise but e kn dey deliver unlike my man dangote everybdy dey promise even emeka offor?? Wey neva pay e staffs lol nija we. Kn dey carry last(calabar girl say so mbok)
ReplyDeleteI am going to be a footballer, to the field I go.
ReplyDeleteJojo
So happy for them naija toh badt whoop whoop more for the eagles I support
ReplyDeleteEmeka Offor leave Sao Tome come 9ja? That means he is contesting in 2015. Bloody politicians.
ReplyDeleteWhy land now? No need for that.
ReplyDeleteThey are falling over themselves giving out money because of one useless cup, but they will never donate to help a sick person who need just a fraction of what they are now donating.
ReplyDeleteSome pastors go dey expect their 10% offering. This sunday go sweet.
ReplyDeleteThe billionaires were donating millions but cannot pay terminal benefits to their terminated staff. will God accept that donations from them
