Zaaki Azzays honoured with a UN Peace ambassadorial award

Months after being accused by his estranged wife of battery, Zakky Azzay has been honored with a United Nations Peace Ambassadorial award. He was among the few Nigerian celebrities decorated as UN peace ambassadors in Lagos yesterday Sunday January 20th.

    Its so unfortunate and disheartening the way this UN Peace Ambassadorship is being dished out to all and sundry. With all due respect to the different recipient artistes, what exactly are the criteria chosen before this award is conferred upon them? Being one of the founding members of the United Nations Youth Association-Nigeria -the awarding body - it smacks of gross corruption for awards to be given to anyone starting from D'Banj's in 2008 or thereabout just for pecuniary gains of a few. There is so much that UNYA-Nigeria can do to affect lives being a direct appendage of the United Nations rather than dish out awards just for the sake of it. I fear for the future of this generation if all we can offer is our myopic and rather bemusing hedonistic acts.

      We need to verify the kind of a lady she is for her to come out and say bad things concerning her hubby.

      There's something behind this whole issue.

      However, he Zakky should also be checked to the root and know how he handled situations before making good or bad comments about the incident and the award.
