Man who buried new born baby alive arrested in Delta state

25 year old labourer, Macaulay Onitcha, has been arrested by the police in Delta state for allegedly burying his new born daughter, Edna Macaulay, alive. Macaulay took the young baby to the bushes, dug a shallow grave, threw the baby in the grave and covered it with sand.

Fortunately for the little angel, someone had witnessed him burying her alive and hurriedly exhumed her after fighting and overpowering Macaulay at the scene. The person, Saturday Ekama, took the child to the police station to report what had happened. Little Edna had a neck injury after she was dug out and she is currently undergoing treatment at Saint Francis Hospital in Asaba, while her dad is in police custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Asaba.

Macaulay told police that he attempted to kill his daughter because he was angry with his wife. He said he did it in anger and was sorry!

That's the shallow grave up there. Find a photo of the baby after she was dug out from the grave and a photo of her in the hospital. Unbelievable!

    What is this world coming go? Meanwhile Linda, these pictures don't add up abeg. The first picture, who took it while the baby was still buried? From the story, the good Samaritan (God bless him risking his own life) dug her out instantly. I'm sure no time for pictures. The 2nd and 3rd pictures, that is obviously a new born, not 4 mths, more like 4 days. Umbilical cord not fallen off yet and eyes still very puffy. Actually looks like she came out fresh from the womb. Please clarify

      Some People are making up stories on social networks to attract attention totheir pages.. others will copy and paste without investigation... then the worst of them all will swallow thestories hook,line and sinker without reasoning. Wasn't thissame ppicture all over Facebook few days ago, claiming the incident happened in Lagos. Now it has been twisted to make it sound more pathetic.... SMH

    Gosh! Bunch of daft people every where. Where did Linda write that the baby was up to four months, she said new born baby. N where also did she say it was bcos of sex d man committed d crime. Even after being corrected people r still commenting any how. No one knows d truth of ds story so instead of condemning y not thank God for d baby's life

    Still trying to wonder why Linda is been crucified for this story...cos I'm still looking for where she said d baby is 4months old from d story but. I can't find it 'mind u, I've re-read it like 4 times thinking I'm d one missing something' nd d person dt said dr'll be no time for pictures before digging d baby out...pls grow up cos if u find urself in dt situation, pictures shd come first or else u'll rot in jail...nd if dr is another story apart from ds one, dn maybe Linda made a mistake wt d age of d child. The good thing is dt d baby is safe...she's too cute to die

    i can't imaging this terrible situation, condition and state of mind of many people in this Nigeria! is like people are so heartless, wicked, annoying, self centered and foolish. this made me re-conceded that truly what the 'Oyinbos' are saying about blacks are true any way. imagine if you can do this to your own child.... i wonder who is safe. this man will never no peace in his life.
