Peter, Paul & Jude Okoye fly to Rwanda in P.Jet, flaunt thousand of $

P-Square, their elder brother Jude Okoye and members of their crew flew to Rwanda in private jet on Thursday for a concert that held in Kigali, Rwanda yesterday December 14th as part of the country’s ruling political party’s 25th anniversary celebrations. The photo on the left is Jude Okoye flaunting thousands of dollars in cash in the jet. That's how big boys roll...:-)

The Okoye boys played to a 52 thousand sitting capacity stadium. Amahoro Stadium in Kigali was packed full to watch P-Square in concert. See photos after the cut...

  33. P-Square plays for a record crowd in Kigali!!! These guys are numero uno in Africa: I dont know about elsewhere, but they certainly "rule" on this continent, and I am tempted to say that despite their popularity in Nigeria, they are even most famous outside it. Lin, ur caption wasnt catchy enough in terms of portraying the newest turnout record for a music concert on the continent; you emphasised more on the PJ & $-display wch aren't that important. With P-Square, every track is a hit! every album a best-seller!! EVERY CONCERT SOLD OUT!!! What more can you demand? Thats why they are in hot demand in Africa, even wt thr exhorbitant rates (confirmed its a min. of $200,000 per show presently); pls who can beat that in Africa and keeps touring the continent as much/often as they do. Infact, after each show in a country, fans in other countries start clamouring for their own turn. Truth be told- these brothers are BLESSED of the Lord, so no hate, ppl. Like Leo Messi, they create the records, and break them. Am willing to know which other Nigerian artiste has amassed this sort of crowd in another man's country. P Square has done this time and again, consecutively within the past 4months alone; and we are so, very proud of them. Congo DRC- >30,000; Zimbabwe- >35,000; Ghana- >40,000; Kigali, Rwanda- >52,000 (+ stadium pitch). This crowd can make Pastor Chris blush ((Night of Bliss Things)). I like the way Peter put it: Turnout: 52,000-capacity stadium + stadium pitch=> do the math! I marvel at these guys. God keep blessing them..

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Stop fooling yourself! The crowd does not turn up solely because of psquare. If u want to know if an artist is good let them do a show on their own and see d turn out! Keep deceiving and hyping yourselves!

  38. @TWITS: wonderful write-up. I really admire your writings, though you seldom write. However, point of correction: TURNOUT was almost 100,000 (stands + pitch)- an African record when compared to their contemporaries!!! Check out other Nigerian blogs (including spyghana.com) and African news sites for details. P-Square makes us proud, and I am so proud of them, really.

    ReplyDelete
  39. The electrifying performance of P-Square have continued to wow Africa with their music craft. The multi-award winning Peter and Paul Okoye popularly known as P-Square thrilled fans in Rwanda yesterday night, and it was another sold-out show with a stadium full of people totaling almost 100 thousand in numbers….More Pictures when you continue:(culled from spyghana.com)...

And FYI, majority of turnouts as dis in concerts come mainly bcos of the invited acts/artistes, whether its free entry or not. Learn to, at least, educate urself b4 miseducating us. They (Rwanda), DRC, Ghana, Zimbabwe, (next Uganda) should have invited D'Banj if they regard him (since he's been roaming about in Naija of recent) and we see whether there'll be such a turnout (even if d crowd is gonna be paid for coming). Like it or not, P-Square rules Africa in music- I thank God the continent agrees with that, and they dont need ppl from ur "lousy"(sic) tribe to tell them otherwise..Goodnite.

  92. @khafeel,
Senegal, the republic of Benin and morroco rank way better than India in terms of healthcare. India is 112th in the world in 2012 so maybe people need to stop running there and look closer to home for quality treatments. It is definitely better than Nigeria I concede but if you have that kind of cash to flaunt, then you can definitely do better than India. Anyway they probably did not know any better...
