The Commissioner of Police, Adisa Bolanta, said the family did this without the knowledge of the police. He said they had warned the family not to negotiate or deal directly with the kidnappers but they defied their orders
"They defied our warnings and continued negotiations with the kidnappers. They went behind us and paid N8 million to them. We have made some arrests in connection with the case and very soon they will all be apprehended." He said
Story story, why won't they pay. They shld wait 4 some incompetent bastards called Nig Police force.

ReplyDeleteYou should be tanking the family for making ur work easier!.....they were trying to be cautious!...cos its better to be safe Dan sorry!!
Why won't de negotiate behind there back, de don't want to lose dere lovely daughter. I commend there effort. Cudos to the fmly of Nkiru.

ReplyDeleteBig Xmas Celebration for boys...Kipnapping is lucrative indeed!!
ReplyDeleteNigerian police need to stop acting like they know their job. I am guessing they must have apprehended the wrong people, just to ensure they have something to say to inquisitve minds who are following the story. I am glad they found her alive if not they will be telling a different story.
ReplyDeleteAnd the beat goes on. Who's is next?

ReplyDeleteMr. CP get real.....your NPF is has the IQ of a door mat. Why shouldn't they negotiate with the kidnappers?
ReplyDeleteThe police shout shut up! I don't blame the family for paying because you can't rely on the NPF who are so perfect at coming late when they are mostly needed. All these that the police is saying is just to cover up their already tarnished image. Why didn't they also tell us how much the Okonjo's paid too? Mtcheew!
ReplyDeleteWhy r the police releasing such a statement? They need to keep their big traps SHUT!
ReplyDeleteAll dis police head correct so? So una want d kiddnappers kill her, like say una fit do anything. Abeg arrest nd apprehended no be d same thing? Abi na Linda no write am well. Rolex

ReplyDeleteIf they had left it for the police to handle, they won't do anything nd nkiru would spend her xmas there
ReplyDeletehehehe...Boys are not smilin, they must cruise around with prado jeep.
Mr Adisa Bolanta pls do shut up..when my sister was abducted the police told us not to negotiate that they would handle d negotiation and apprehend d evil doers when they come to collect d ransome..the evil doers named a place to drop d money that was just outskirts of town, guess what d police told us...it was outside their jurisdiction and we went to the next state to lay d complain, and we were told that it was late to pick up d case since anoda state was handling it...Back n Forth we went until d ransome was paid and my sister released...Just pray evil doers don't come near you cos police cannot do anything neither can Gej..People will always be evil.
ReplyDeleteŦђɑ̤̥̈̊п̥̥̲̣̣̣k God!
ReplyDeleteIf the police had handled d case,i pity Nkiru cos she would spend more weeks there, her family had to do something sharp sharp b4 it becomes something else.

ReplyDeleteIt's not this bad in Mexico how long is Nigeria gonna go on like this, so what if they don't have the N8m so this is the new way to make money? The police have no means of tracking the bad guys, and you expect me to come and live in that sh** hole called Nigeria? I guess I'd just stay here in the UK, after all no one is kidnapping me. SAD COUNTRY.
ReplyDeleteMy dear, abeg park well well for London o abi na uk!!all u lost children, always jumping at every opportunity to stress why you'd rather remain abroad. Mtchew!!!!
Deletetwo things:
ReplyDeleteThe family knows Rochas will re-imburse them,
Another is that:
The Police is not that reliable.
Even if they were, sometimes, the fright of a beloved one being killed can make anyone pay anything.
But this is not really a Police matter is it?
AS LONG AS WE HAVE WASTEFUL LEADERS WHOM CANT CREATE LIFE OPPORTUNITIES FOR A YOUTH-DOMINANT NATION...
It may well continue to happen.
It's a damn fucking shame..
8 million is an outrageous amount!
May God's name be praised for her release.
ReplyDeletewww.standtimes.com
STOP TELLING THE WORLD DAT THE RANSOM WAS PAID. IT WILL KEEP ON PROMOTING THE KIDNAPPERS
ReplyDeletewe are tired of kidnapping in Nigeria... From Oil workers now to the masses. 5 women were kinapped last week. we need change in Naija and the only way we can attain it is by self development. check out my latest article "ONE PURE WATER SACHET AT A TIME" http://sadiqdaniel.blogspot.com/2012/12/one-pure-water-sachet-at-time.html
ReplyDeletei just hope they didn't rape this poor girl but if what we herar of these kidnappers is anything to go by... thank God she's aliv though, and the government needs to do something fast not only about the levelof insecurity but also therapy for victims. i cant imagine the trauma they must be put through
ReplyDeleteMy message is for "baldeh counsultant",Dont worry, God will make a way. Pls dont venture into form of crime,it doesn't pay. And even if this year is not good, next year will def be better for u. God bless u.
ReplyDeleteHer family has just rubber-stamped KIDNAPPING as viable business that does pay. All potential kidnapped now know their in a industry for it. Expect more kidnappings to follow.
ReplyDeleteNow I wonder ..what if this kidnappers r actually policemen? Hmmmm
ReplyDeleteCp dey make arrest 4 xmas bail money,We knw u beta
ReplyDeleteI think its not right to mention how much ransome was paid. Because another set of kidnappers will wanna do same to have their share of the cut, knowing fully well she has that sum of amount to pay. Its wiser they kept their mouth shut.
ReplyDeleteMe think the police are right- paying up only encourages these kidnappers but then again, she is a woman in the company of men who are clearly capable of anything, including rape and murder. Thank God she is okay
ReplyDeleteWhat abt the puff puff sellers dat were arrested as suspects.
ReplyDeleteWhen will our brave police release them?
Or do they have to settle x-mas coins for being innocent?
That Money will never be useful to them. Ble ble welcome.
ReplyDeleteThat Money will never be useful to them. Ble ble welcome.
ReplyDeleteSo, this is the new job prospect in that country.
ReplyDeleteIt's so unfortunate dat dey av 2 pay dat amount. It is well
ReplyDeleteAm so frigging bored. I v read all the comments here. Someone pls chat wit Me. 2989B701
ReplyDeleteStay Zing !
the family should not have publicised the amount they paid! they are helping to fuel the viability of kidnap.... as some idiots here are already indicating how profitable it is, who knows how many new potential kidnappers have been inducted......also they run the risk of the girl being kidnapped again since we all know she has family that love her enough to pay a tidy ransom of 8m!
ReplyDeleteN f, waste of time and money. I remember last year when my friends Dad was kidnapped in anambra state, the ransom the kidnappers asked for was 10mill but the family had only 5mill. The police said they should bring the money they will trick the kidnappers and arrest them. Unknown to the family the police men removed 2mill from the 5mill given to them. That's how the kidnappers got angry and killed this man. It was another lady that was also kidnapped during that period that told the story. So I don't blame the family at all. Nkiru thank God you are okay.
ReplyDeletestory of d century.who else will pay for her release if not her bf Rochas;where her family see 8million not to tok of paying it?
ReplyDeleteThis is a true life story cp! My aunty's stepson was a police officer in abia state. He was killed recently and for some reason, it was all shrouded in secrecy. When family members insisted on knowing the true story, here's what was uncovered. Some kidnappers had made a demand for ransom. A place was agreed for drop off and pick up. The police dropped the money and laid ambush. Turns out my aunty's stepson was the one who came to pick up the ransom. He was shot and when they searched him, they found his I.d card. His wife too is a police officer. My point is, who knows how many police officers were in that gang. So u see mr commissioner, it will be stupid of anyone to sit and wait for the police to free their kidnapped loved ones.
ReplyDeleteWhat did they want her family to do? Wait till she is killed first!!!! Right? The police comissioner should go take several seats somewhere jo!!!
ReplyDeletePolice
ReplyDeleteWorst human in dis lyf
