Engr. Lanre Fashesin still missing

Mr. Lanre Fashesin has not been heard from in the last 3 months after he was kidnapped at a site in Edo State. The family had up until now made frantic efforts to secure his release to no avail. The Police also claim to have hit a dead end and seem to have become clueless as to how else to find the kidnapped engineer. Mr. Fashesin was working at the site where he was kidnapped as a contractor for Dextron Engineering Limited based in Lagos.

The family today put out a release appealing to members of the public to kindly join in the search for Lanre who recently just got married. Please call 08069439240 if you have any information & spread the word. Please continue...

Engr. Lanre Fashesin, referred to by the kidnappers as ‘Larry’ (see picture) was kidnapped around a Niger Delta PHCN project site in Iguiye village(between Okada & Benin City) 4 months ago. We have not heard anything from him or the kidnappers for about 3 months now.

Lanre is 6 foot 3 inches tall, and speaks Yoruba and English fluently. Please call 08069439240 if you have any information & spread the word.

  2. Linda, biko I don't understand this your statement: "Engr. Lanre Fashesin, referred to by the kidnappers as ‘Larry’"

Does that mean there's been contact with the kidnappers?

May Almighty God protect him and lead him home safely

  23. #police have no clue as to who kidnapped him#. Before nko? Criminals have successful carrers in 9ja. U can be a serial killa, rapist, scammer, kidnapper etc oh boy, no shaking! U won't believe the sexual assault meted out to kidnapped females of all ages. Some r ritualistically gang raped day anD nite till moni drop.who go catch dem? D. N. A evidence is still not used here not to talk of finger prints or even pictures.#spits# now they have picked up the 82yr old mother of okonjo iweala. Don't be surprised if they beat the bejezus out of that granny. Psychos............ng owerri

  24. I pray he has not been beaten to death. I was kidnapped last year and held captive for 2wks till my family rounded up some moni. Those assholes took pleasure in beating me up and torturing me with lighters. I took it all like a man till they brought in 2 women they also kidnapped and savagely raped them in my presence. Dats when I cried like a baby. God have mercy. People its not just about cash, these guys are sociopaths

  28. @ Anoymous December 9, 2012 8:26 PM oh my goodness. I am truly sorry to hear about your experience. I hope you went for adequate counseling and spiritual cleansing. What is going on in that Naija why have people become so heartless all for the love of money. The poor girls they raped will not be able to ever tell anyone what they went thru. This kidnapping business is going out of control. I really do pray this guy is safe.

  30. Anyone who has ever met "Lalafash" knows he had no bad bone in his body. I just shake uncontrollably any time I think about this. To the retards posting comments here, do you realise his new bride and his family will be reading your posts to see if anyone has a lead? Yet you post idiotic comments about him not being alive or that the family is to blame. Seriously! A situation like this will surely locate you sometime down the road wherever you are.

  31. I mean this be my dude. Grew up in Ibadan, went to Ife together and took on real life around the same timeframe. Do you know what it takes to go through OAU and graduate with an Engineering degree? This dude is among the brightest Nigeria has to offer the world and we permit such talents to be at the mercy of Niger Delta miscreants? Lanre, this will surely not be your closing chapter. Destiny awaits you… Damn! this country be insane… Microfly77. #Bring Lalafash back home..

  34. Anon 8.45pm "d wife and his family is to be blamed"

Why would you say something so wicked? Do you think you love Lanre more than his wife and family do ?

In the same breath that you are explaining that the police stole some of the ransom money.. you condemning the family?

Please offer them your support...I can't imagine how is wife is feeling just 6 months after marriage having her husband kidnapped.

Senseless comments like yours only add to the hurt . Even if the family made mistakes do you not think they are kicking themselves enough already?

  35. A friend of mine who works with mtn was kidnapped somewhere in the east at his hotel. His company refused to pay ransom despite the fact that he went there on official assignment. Eventually,he was released after his family paid ten million in cash to them..three months later.I pray this guy is that lucky too

  36. Praying for you! This country sef! The police were aware about this from when it happened but couldn't do anything. I heard the IGP is even aware and some people were arrested but released. Useless police the governor of edo state should be ashamed and the IGP too. Its just too sad.

  37. Edo is a greedy pit hole. They started this kidnapping madness in that nonsense naija and are still the kings of it. Bloody greedy bastards. May God not put his wrath on all people from Delta and Edo because of the greedy ones amongst you. Why?

  38. I want to cry. This is just too sad. OnlY God knows if this young man is being treated well. Why do they love money like that in Nigeria and they have to put people through hell to attain this ill gotten, generation cursing wealth? And the annoying part is this money is not for anything good but to show off and do big man. The tears of many people suffering will run that Nigeria to the ground

  40. Haaaaaaa, Jesus!!!!! It's so shocking to read this. We attended the same baptist church in Ibadan and also schooled at OAU together. His sister was even my room mate in school. I silently say a prayer that he will be released and his kidnappers shall know no peace until they release him. This is soooooo sad. Only God knows how his new bride will be coping at the moment. God please take control. Amen.

  46. Lanre is such an amazing guy, I've known him for a long time in Ibadan and we went to OAU together! This is so sad.

I'm slowly beginning to give up on Nigeria, the stories are getting scarier day by day. I can't fathom how a country so religious and prayerful continues to deteriorate . So glad I cancelled my trip to naija in dec, not showing up there for a while.

My prayer is that God brings Lanre home safe and I pray for God's strength for his wife and family this difficult period.

FOR THOSE WHO KNOW THE FAMILY AND ARE QUICK TO BE MENTIONING NAMES AND WHEN WHO GOT MARRIED - ARE YOU DAFT? TEXT OR CONTACT THE FAMILY DIRECTLY TO OFFER SUPPORT OR PRAYERS NOT TAKE TO A BLOG AND START BROADCASTING.
PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN TO COME TOGETHER AS ONE BECAUSE NO ONE KNOWS WHAT TOMORROW HOLDS AND IN THE END WE ALL AHVE TO ANSWER TO GOD.
HOW WILL ALL THE FIGHTING, CURSING, BLAMING OR STUPID COMMENTS/BROADCAST HELP? IF YOU CANNOT SAY SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE OR POSITIVE THEN DO NOT COMMENT AS IT'S NOT THE TIME; NEITHER IS THIS THE PLACE.
WATCH WHAT YOU DO, SAY AND WISH FOR OTHERS BECAUSE YOU MAY COME HERE ANONYMOUS THINKING ITS SAFE BUT GOD KNOWS YOU AND WILL FIX YOUR BUSINESS.
