NaijaEats.com: Nigeria’s 1st online takeaway food ordering service

NaijaEats.com is Nigeria’s first and largest online takeaway food ordering service that offers online consumers access to a variety of delivery restaurants with a wide selection of Continental, Asian and Nigerian dishes, giving busy Nigerians more options than ever for quick, time saving delivery and takeout meals. Want to send your driver to get your lunch but can’t find him? NaijaEats.com has you covered!

It is an easier and faster way to order breakfast, lunch or dinner from all your favorite restaurants such as Swe Bar, Urban Spoon Fusion Restaurant, Asian Villa and many more. Whether you’re on the Mainland or Island, you can sit where you are, order online and Let Your Food Come To You! More when you continue...

Many Nigerians prefer not to pay online with their ATM cards and thankfully, NaijaEats also allows you to order your meal online and choose to Pay-on-Delivery. This means that no money has to leave your hands until your meal has been delivered to you which happens less than 1 hour after placing your order. You can also fund your wallet through a bank deposit and order meals whenever and wherever you please.

This is a great way to avoid heading out into the Lagos traffic and commotion (OKADA BAN!) and having your 30 minute break become a 2-3 hour story! It’s also a great way to try out fancy and mouth-watering dishes from restaurants you’ve just not had the time to head to.

Ordering from NaijaEats’ partner restaurants is a simple 3 step process; 1. You just select the part of town you are, 2. Select from the restaurant that catches your fancy, choose your meal and 3. Checkout (pay on delivery or with your card)! Your meal will then be delivered to you. And it works on mobile too so you can setup your lunch anytime, anyplace.

NaijaEats is an innovative local venture brought to you by Nigerians who have experienced the difficulties of moving around the city and know how hard it is to get food you want, when you want. Whether you are a pizza, shawarma, or ice cream lover, NaijaEats and their partner restaurants have meals for everyone and the team is hard at work to provide even more restaurants and more choices

If you want to stay updated on Meals of the Day, promos and discounts and new restaurants joining the platform, visit NaijaEats Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/NaijaEats ) or follow @NaijaEats on Twitter.  You can also get in touch with NaijaEats whether you are a customer seeking information or a restaurant wanting to join the platform at support@naijaeats.com and +234 817 032 4113 If you want your meals faster and stress free, head over to www.naijaeats.com

  1. delivery cost is too expensive. so if I want to order a food of N700, I'll pay extra N500 for it to be delivered almost the same fee as d food itself. LOL!!!

  3. I am sure minimum order will be like 5k or 10k. Well I am sure the strategy will be based on a niche market surely not for the ordinary man.

  5. Innovative idea. Haven't heard of anything similar before in terms of food. Delivery must be quite pricey though.

  7. Naija peeps pls don't spoil this system I beg you all! It's a nice concept and will flourish if people are decent enough to pay for meals ordered , just like other parts of the world.

  8. Very good idea, I hope it works! I am worried about the delivery man safety though, some desperate hungry area boys might place an order and not pay for the food, then harass the delivery man!

  10. Waste of money. That's why everybody has become so lazy and fat.....
If you are hungry, cook and eat in your house before you leave for work. And if you must dine outside, visit a decent restaurant occasionally and indulge in healthy meals, not all these Carb loaded menus on the ad.
    Online takeaway my ass.....

  12. Nice concept. BUT they must have a really large database for this to work well. For instance, what happens if your part of town, fav restaurant and/or food isn't on their database?

  16. Point of correction, this is not the first time we are having this initiative in Nigeria.

There was "Delivery King" in Onikan axis of Lagos, that patnered with the likes of KFC, Yellow Chilly, Araba confectioneries, bakery co. etc.

    They did quite well.

This is a welcoming development, once it works.

  20. Sounds good but with the Lagos traffic , don't think you can get your meal on time. And this will open doors for those low life yahoo boys . So my advice is don't pay online , I never use my credit cards wen I visit Nigeria not safe.

  22. The Arent the First tho, i have Ordering From www.lazyappetite.com for a while And this lazy appetite seems to be d best! Checked out the naijaeats site, its not that bad

  23. If they have stuff for less than 1k, will they come and bring it to your house? Consider the cost of fuel, man labour, traffic all these other factors will make them put costs in their order BUT if you can order food less than 1k coming to your house, then it is a very welcome development.

  24. logistically it is expensive and unwise to deliver to any customer that doesn't live within a certain mile radius. I hope the participating restaurants have that in mind........with the terrible condition of traffic in lagos i have the feeling this will only work on the island.... Good luck to this interesting venture and wish them the best.

  29. I think some people were underwhelmed by the content in the keynote. The biggest news for many is the introduction of the new structure system, Takeaway Online
