First female Akwa Ibom deputy governor sworn in

Barrister Valerie Ebe was yesterday sworn in as the first female deputy governor of Akwa Ibom state, the first woman in the state's 25-year history to occupy such a position.

Barrister Ebe was sworn in three days after the resignation of former Dep Governor, Nsima Ekere, who left because of his 'alleged act of disloyalty to the governor.'
