Paul Adefarasin Completes N3 billion Rock Cathedral

Pastor Paul Adefarasin's led House on the Rock church building, Rock Cathedral, which has gulped about N3 billion to erect, has been finally completed. The church which sits on 32, 000 square meters, will sit at least 10, 000 thousand worshipers in the church auditorium and another 10,000 within the church premises and may be declared open for use in December 2012.

The Rock Cathedral, also known as Millennium Temple, took almost 8 years to complete and is situated along the Lekki Epe Express way, close to Liberty Hall.

Build homes for those that have been displaced. i dont have much but i use the little i have to help out widows back home in our country. Stop acquiring assets in the name of God. 1. Don't be ignorant. Even God takes pride in a beautifully built temple. Go and read your bible then u will see how royally God asked his priests to build his temple. These pastors make their churches so beautiful to glorify God and not for their own pleasure.

    6. Mr. Nice guy will u hit your head on the nearest wall. He used his money that he didn't steal to build a house for God and you are talking nonsense. Did u not hear that Ifeanyi Uba (Capital Oil) stole 42 billion naira and u didn't think of widows and poor people. Why is it that we are always talk about men of God and what they do with their money and forget our politicians that steal us blind in this country. Paul is not a politician so work hard and make your own money. Don't ever annoy me on this blog or I won't post your comments again. LOL

    7. all those criticising a church that decided to give God the best do not intend to go to heaven, because they will abuse God almighty for the lavish way He created Heaven, where all the streets are made of gold and the mansions with the most expensive precious stones one can ever imagine. Most of these critics have been able to buy land and have built their own houses, they didn't remember the poor, but a man of God who is almost 50 years of age yet have not even build his own house, but decided to Give God the best. Some of this critics are driving brand new cars, they didn't think about buying Tokunbo and giving the rest to the poor. Some of these guys need to urgently repent in order to make heaven, cos if God grant them access to the beauty of heaven, they will turn around and abuse God of not being moderate and not providing for the poor. Before you open your mouths to sin again, ask lagos state commisioner of Education what House on the Rock have done to schools in Lagos. House on the rock yearly conduct the experience bringing in the best gospel artists in the world and yet never charge a gate fee or ever taken an offering. House on the rock has change the lives of hundred of area boys in this lagos, every sunday they feed hundreds of those who can not even afford to eat and paid for their accommodation. Many have benefited from their. empowerment program, where by the less priviledge are. given money to start their own trade. House on the rock has facilitated the released from prison of over a thousand prison inmates who were wrongly incacerated and some awaiting trial for as long as 10 yrs the records are there. There don't have to make noice about it. House on the rock have provided pipe bone water for several communities in lagos, and their branches are doing the same in other states of the federation. So please stop insulting men of God, go get your facts right. This facility is built for God has God complained to you? If some of you were in the days of Solomon, only God knows what you guys would have done to Solomon for spending over 100 times of house on the rock Budget to built God a temple

  4. As much as I accept the fact that everyone can aspire to build mega churches, I cannot help but wonder how many homes or low income estates N3 billion would have built. Or how many mission schools would have been erected with the money.

As my pastor said this morning, the world is disenfranchised with us Christians because we spend more money IN the church than outside, so they really do not see our impact. We are catering to our needs and not that of our neighbors.

All the same congrats to them, but food for thoughts sha o.

  27. FYI, House On The Rock spends several millions EVERY SINGLE YEARS on projects that posotively affect the lives of millions of people. From donations for the building of schools, to offering scholarships, to boreholes for clean water supply, to provisions for orphanages, to rehabilitation of the so-called street urchins, to donations of medical supplies, to donations to prisons, just to name A FEW. The church simply chooses not to create a huge buzz around these things. But they are all documented if any of y'all would care to check

Criticism is healthy as long as it is constructive but dont criticize merely for the sake of criticizing.

@Anon 3:01pm- I applaude you for using your little to take care of widows but its a tad narrow minded to simply dismiss this as merely "acquisition of assets in the name of God"

Go to some public schools around and ask who is responsible for their computer labs.

  34. I worship in HORK d kaduna city church n I must commend pst.Paul for a job welldone,in dis year d kd church made bole hole water available to 5 different communities in kd,an d next project is to build an atmosphere fit for d worship of our king, cos ryt nw we worship in a rented hall, which is too much money compared to wen u hav ur own place.I personally dn't see anythin wrong in bringin out gud money to build a church more over most of us like in mansions built wit trillions on naira

  35. Bunch of hypocrites!!!!

Why should the church use its money to build houses? What is your government looking at? I think its high time Nigerians stopped this philanthropic form of CSR and face those that are responsible for your road and housing facilities.
And don't forget that the funds for the building were contributed by the members for a purpose- which is to build a church.

Abeg face ur corrupt govt and leave the churches alone! Face those that are stealing ur 'hard earned money'!!!

  36. My problem with the churches in Nigeria is that they dont seem to be adding values to the lives of the average Nigerian. They dont have to feed every impoverished Nigerian on the street but the pastors and congragation can lend their voice against the corruption in Government, advise the people on the power of their vote and participation in the electoral process. The best brains and financial muscle can be found in some of this churches why cant the same be said for the people in power/politics. Nigeria will not move forward if all everyone does is to donate tithes and offerings into the church coffers. More can be done by pooling righteous resources together behind credible candidates and people oriented projects. Of what is use a 3billion naira church in a city where majority of the citizens live in abject poverty, roads are bad, no electricity etc.

Ours is to obey wtout looking back cos he is a faithful rewarder. It den becomes d business of d priest to do as God as ordered wt d sacrifice. The people of God knew dt Samuel's children stole d sacrifices dey offered, yet it didn't deter dem from making more sacrifices. A natural mind cannot reason out the things of God so quit trying ok? 45. Don't think any amount is too small to beautify God's house. The bible clearly emphasizes building temples to glorify God. Pastor Paul at least didn't use your tithe and offerings to buy jets.......lips sealed...

Asides, for a fact, I know house on the rock keeps donating computers to public schools, try to free condemned prisoners( left untried in prisons for so long ) and start up businesses for them like donating okada etc....

......at least if I was a member, I'd like to tithe knowing where my money is going into and not thinking twice bout tithing.......(sad face)

And when did it become the churches responsibility to build roads? Truly ignorance is a disease. Your small minds will always tell you to hate progress so I don't blame those of you blabbing rubbish. I bet if some of y'all were alive in d days of David and Solomon, u will also lynch them wt castigative words, cos these guys were extremely rich and dey spent lavishly on d temple of our God (according to God's own specifications). So it doesn't come as a surprise if all some ppl can see is wastage. And for those of u crying and whining abt the poor and d needy that he shd av helped, I will like to remind u tht the biblical approach to giving is "not to allow even your right hand to know what ur left hand is giving". That is where the reward lies. It is strictly between u and ur maker, so think deep before u say anything. There is wisdom in being discretional, I pray the lord will give u all understanding.
