Oyo's First Lady was not arrested - London Metropolitan Police

News filtered in today that Oyo First Lady, Mrs Florence Ajumobi was arrested yesterday by London's Metropolitan police in the UK for being in possession of £400, 000 (100 million). But the London MET has denied that any such arrest took place. They said there's no information on the alleged arrest in their police database

  1. Much as we know that we have major thieves in government, its sad to robe an innocent person as one. this is a dent on her person

  2. Anyhow you write it but the ajimobi's are nt coming back for second term

    1. God forbid them come back. That will be a curse on Oyo State. It is better we don't allow them finish this 1st term or the damage might be irreparable. Thiefing, arrogant, greedy, clueless people.

    2. Second term ke??? Not even in their wildest dreams or our worst nightmare. Their prayer should be that they complete their current term.

    3. I reject their coming back in Jesus name

  3. We here.. But who called or asked the metropolitan police? I know for a fact no one in the police would ans that question for confidential reasons and there is no database that confirms arrest. They advice u to call individual police station. So the both stories smell...... ASJ

Linda did you personally dial the MET office , if you did not then its best to stay out of it ....... Offcourse the government is going to do damage control and downplay it . I saw another news which CALLED THE MET POLICE AND IT WAS CONFIRMED .........

We see how it plays out , nothing is hidden under the sun for too long. It is 50/50 . As for denying it , that is typically they go first deny to cover, till fowl yansh opens . Its a pity sha, LOOTING IS JUST THE ORDER OF THE DAY

  6. The police data base is huge and files don’t go uploaded automatically for every station to see. It takes a number of days …. If this incident happened yesterday, its most likely only that exact MET office will have the record.

Who exactly did you call to confirm , the general MET LINE ????. Even that general MET LINE typically won’t disclose information. All na wash , whether it is true or not TIME WILL TELL . People open your eyes to the day light robbery going on while the masses keep suffering .

  7. Its high time our judicial system begins to SERIOUSLY PUNISH any and everyone involved in the crime of LIBELLING. This nonsense is getting out of hand in Naija. Some jobless debased mind would write a cock-and-bull story and publicise it and because it brings down another man, it would spread rapidly.

The other day, someone claimed P-square sacrificed their mum for fame and wealth and to join the Illuminati - as though the dudes were not already famous and multimillionaires before their mum's demise.

    This nonsense gotta stop!

  9. Linda be objective in your reporting. Did you call the London Metropolitan Police or is it the Oyo state Governor that is saying they called the Met police.....

There is a difference in the two

    ReplyDelete
  10. Well, is she in london? . If she is in london at this moment then i can bet there is no smoke without fire.. If she can appear on national TV this afternoon then the story is false. where exactly is her location .

Ideally the MET wont disclose any information due to the Data Protection Act. So that they didnt confirm it doesnt mean it didnt happen. . Also typically the police database is update after some days and this only happened yesterday

  56. Nigerians are so backward. The immigration dept. would have been the ones to deal with her if she entered the country with too much cash not the police.

The police will not stop her from having such cash in her possession as a Governor's wife since she did not commit theft in the UK. The government and police will be happy that she spends the money in the UK.

Are you people so dumb over there or what? British government is not against money looted in Nigeria if it is saved in a British bank.

Please get that right people. Mrs Ajimobi has done nothing wrong. All Nigerians are thieves in office. The ones who are Saints end up poor. It is a bad system that all Nigerians need to fight against.

    1. Which court was she granted bail?
    2. Which police station was the crime recorded?
3.Which so-called community news paper carried the incident?

It is pertinent to note that the London Met has not only an hotline but also an email address where enquires can be made. People should think before exposing the tardiness in their mouth. @linda keep up the good work
