  1. Very important message. I hope this airs on TV in naija cos passing it on won't help. I can't imagine that a lot of people who partake in jungle justice would have smart phones.

    21. I don't understand why ppl who profess to see the four walls of any school will not understand simple written english except it is written in terms only a lay man would understand they just won't understand that the first writer and ibogal's message was very very clear.. I wonder why they bother teaching literature in secondary schools if some ppl don't understand the purpose of breaking down otherwise complex words of a poem and deduce what the writer had in mind or meant when he wrote that particular line.. To think drug addict and his supporters will bask in their foolery is beyond comprehension.

I hope the various state governments would sponsor adverts like these to sensitize the citizens on the proper way to handle criminals.
And in the same vein, make the judiciary aware of their responsibility to the citizens so that they don't feel that their only recourse is to take justice into their own hands.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Big hiss..Hand them over to police wey go collect egunje and free them? The same police wey dey supply criminal with gun? Those same police wey dey cover for robbers? Okay na. Justice system wey be by cash and carry na him una dey wait to take care of issues. Abi?

Instead of wasting money on this useless campaign, invest money in revamping the messed up police. Start paying those hungry souls competitive salaries and increase spending on their training and welfare. Same for the hungry judges. No be by ad campaign jare. After now that clown go talk say "he is stable. plane crash is not something we just wave off. We want to fly him out for check up". Olofo!

Yes the money they pay the police is small but believe me an average police man earns more than some graduates working in private companies. Nice advert and concept Bovi was scared though. 14. Linda the thing is that we have very weak institutions in Nigeria. Why people take laws into their hands is because if they hand those criminals over to the police in few minutes time they will see those criminals walking the streets. What am trying to say is that jungle justice is very bad but what do you expect from a society that has lost hope in the police and the judicial system.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Protest infront of police stations and government houses until our government understand that we as a ppl are tired of their incompetence. Rome wasn't built in a day and losing faith in our judicial system isn't going to take us far truth is that we Nigerians want things to change automatically when it will only take seriousness on our part to show our government (oppressors) that we are tired of their incompetence. Yes they will use every force they have to shut us up, that is why I put in bracket oppressors but then God being on our side will see that we get the government we deserve. God is alive we just haven't forced His hand. We only sit in our rooms and churches and pray for the nation, we forget to act for the nation seriously, it's just like a student praying to pass an exam but refuses to read. God isn't the God of the lazy or weak willed, he is the God Of the action minded and faith filled. I know what I am doing to help my nation soon the rest of the country will know and I beg all of us crying wolf and refusing to come out and kill the wolf to join in my quest of making our country a better place for our children's children.

  28. This ad should be on tv and radio stations in Nigeria. Even Newspapers and billboards. This should be fucking promoted. Promote this cause the way you would promote these tours of Z list American celebs(Keri Hilton, Joe, Kelly Rowland) in Nigeria. You do not expect these people to see this ad on the internet..

Nice ad but my heart was beating so fast.

  45. @nonya, yes our police do take bribes, yes they sometimes release the thieves back into society, but i also know that if the police catch a thief with a gun, it is immediate death, for petty thieves yeah, eithe they charge to court or they release. may be poverty justice but at least it works for now. a petty theif need not be maimed and killed when he didn't hurt anyone.

in addition to that, the same way a community can leave their normal lives to spend hours witnessing torture and murder, they can also dedicate time to ensure the police carries out their duties regarding prosecution of a thief. the community leaders can ensure periodical reports are given on the status of criminals, tht way they can check inefficiences. these things are simple, somebody just needs to follow through and be held accountable. since we can disregard police pleading or instruction not to kill suspected thieves, i am sure we can coerse them to carry out the law to the letter.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Splendid Bovi, great message, jungle justice must stop! It is a collaborative effort

    ReplyDelete
  47. That Nonya girl is a big fool! And she's supposed to be a "blogger"? Lmao! Such intellect for a blogger! Lwkmd!!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I do not support jungle justice but it is the result of the failure of the police! The police would release an armed robber after collecting bribe and the robber will go back to haunt or even kill those that reported him.
There is trouble ahead if we don't shape up, it goes beyond a simple advert!
