Waje sizzles in hot new photos; releases new singles

You have to respect the evolution of Waje as a musician. From her first popular single to Kolo, she has grown into her own, bringing out beautiful music with solid emotional depth and performing in show-stopping style.

Oko Mi is her freshest single and is a beautiful love song in Yoruba and English. Her other song 'I wish’ is the recently leaked single that has become popular overnight. It explores a woman whose heart has just been broken and is trying to let go. ‘I wish, I didn’t have a heart, Na only stone fit dey inside…..’ It’s a beautiful song. Looks like Waje is becoming our answer to true Naija soul music

Listen to both songs after the cut...

Oko mi

I wish

Waje who co hosted The Future Awards last weekend is performing at The Nigeria Entertainment Awards at New York tonight. She was also recently nominated in the Headies 2012 as best female vocalist. Happy Birthday Waje!!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Abi?that's true o. She doesn't have a hit after 7years in d business. Lol oh I forgot she's still up n coming agbaya

    ReplyDelete
  30. It's true, waje u should work on getting a song exertions after will remember u by.not just a psquare backup or mi ft.

    ReplyDelete
  31. We have singers in this country, powerful singers so having a good voice is not all, work it baby. Shane ur haters by doing a hit song. We remember onyeka onwenu,Christy Essien of blessed memories with their hits, pls listen to this cos it's good criticism, else u'll be forgotten easily

    ReplyDelete
  32. U need a hit or hits like ur female counterparts. Kefee does her Thing even as a church girl, she is still The only female singer with the most hit songs like Branama, kokoroko, sapele water,Beautiful.
Tiwasavage is know for kele kele, love me,
omawunmi for if u ask me,bottom bele
    ,Kween for Jebele
,Asa Fire on the mountain, bibanke,Nneka etc. Learn from them

  33. Lol at forgotten easily. NAija can talk . Forgotten like beauty queens after 1 yr.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Haters all over. You can see you are so few here. Waje is a multi-talented musician all over. The way it is going, this Okomi will be a hit. Shut up and talk true

  44. Everyone has their moments... Robin Thick made music for over 10 years before singing his hit song! From the sound of what we are hearing it seems Waje's rise to success will not take that long... So, support the beautiful music you have heard, and stop bashing a woman who is working hard to achieve her goals

  62. Now my question...why will some1 who is a terry g fan or a Vico fan come here and make a comment.
Dis is a song for peeps who appreciate good music and peeps who hv opened their hearts to embrace good music.Waje is a Versatile artist who has in her career not made a wack song or even delivered a wack hook. So I wld advise any1 hating to pls go and get both a life and a job. U need to see her profile be4 talkin.

    ReplyDelete
  63. OK so all i have to say is this, first waje is an artist whose lyrics has nothing to do with sex or winning or any other trash that make the African lady look like trash,i'm proud to be Nigerian just cos she is,good music is unique in the Nigerian industry WAJE keep ud the good work
