Top ten private jets owned by wealthy Nigerians: how much they cost

I culled this report from Encomium magazine. Quite revealing. See it below...
More exciting revelations have emerged that the penchant for private jets acquisition has cost wealthy Nigerians over N1 trillion in five years. The luxury trend actually rose by 650% between 2007 and 2012, this has increased the rate of private jet acquisition from 20 in 2007 to over 150 in 2012 which has placed Nigeria  and china as the fastest growing private jets markets in the world.

    2. If u look @ sm pastors' actions, most, if not all churches will be empty. I'm not saying pastors owing private jets is right or wrong(I leave d judgment to God, He see d heart afterall)My point is there will always be smthing ur pastor will do which u find offensive. If u or ur friend bliv in tithing u shldnt allow any person steal ur blessings by making u reluctant to tithe. Once u tithe, God blesses u regardless of wot ur pastor does with d money. D pastor will answer to God, so pls pay ur tithe n look to God not man.

    3. My dear pls tell ur friend to be paying his tithes. U know d truth he is doing it for God n not the pastors or bishops. N the secret is God will reward him beyond expectations. The main thng is he has done is right don't be bothered neither shuld u mind what all the men of God r doing. Whatever u do or ur frnd does is forr God n his reward will surely be from God so my dear tell ur frnd to start paying.... God bless us all

First, your list is solo incomplete and some of the jets you listed don't even exist. It does not seem even you understand what you are blogging about. 63. I'm so sick and tired of people always defending these "men of god" saying they make their money thru donation and businesses...r u high?! Where did they get the money to start these business if not from ur tithes and offerings? how can a man of god erect schools too expensive for his church members to afford? mostly non-church attendees attend his schools and u people think its not selfish? Does the church members benefit from the gains? Does Winners even have community service programs? scholarship programs for church memebers? Food banks for the less priviledged? I used to pay my tithe at Winners but not anymore....not when they aren't using it for what God intended it for in the book of deutronomy: catering to the widowed, poor and orphans. Oh and i love how they like to twist malachi:3 and make it seem like God was talking to the church accusing them of robbing God for noth paying their tithes and offerings...meanwhile God was talking to the sons of Levi who were the priests/pastors misusing the offerings brought into the house of God!

A pastor has FOUR private jets yet gullible Nigerians defend him? I went to shiloh in the past and saw how poor and destitute many of the members were yet they give and give and give because they are told to give all they have (sacrifcial offering) in faith so that they can also be like oyedepo...it is all a scheme! Yet, oyedepo wont even help his own pastor who got into an accident and got paralyzed from waist down. Winner's pastors and their wives arent allowed to work so even the pastor's wife had no way of contributing to the operation...and winners/oyedepo never reached out to them despite his desperate attempts to reach oyedepo. So many stories. Peopl are so gullible and naive and would rather follow a pastor who lives in flamboyance at their own expense in a futile hope to be like him one day...after all he was once poor like them. READ YOUR BIBLES PEOPLE! The things that some of these mega church pastors do these days are so unbiblical yet people would rather allow human beings to keep brain washing them..

4 private jets worth almost $100 million!!!...what does he need four for?? one alone is morethan enough to eradicate hunger/hardship in a state in Nigeria for a lifetime! Tufiaa!God is on His throne!

What would it cost this guy to give each of his members 250k each at least to start a business of some sort! What would it cost him, seriously?? Even Oprah that's not religious gives so much, not to talk about a Bishop of a church!! The bible tells us to give to the poor. Why can't he practice that?? Didn't Jesus give to the poor in the bible? Wake up, u gullible people!!!!! Wake up!!!!!! Gosh!!!

  75. I hate poor thinking people.Poor man always look for complain.

Common sense no dey easy to get.

The world is made for man to control it. The jets are made for man to own them and fly them.

God's people are made to be the wealthiest and healthiest people in the world. Do not look at the money, Look at the work the Jets are doing. The jets are cheap to compare the work they do.

More jets are coming.. Watch and see. Almighty God is good all the time and he gives wealth according to your capacity to handle them.

  76. I'm not criticizing anyone, but 4 jets? How many bumbums do u have and how big are they? Ahaah abi is that for husband and wife. 1 jet for each butt cheek. Anyways, to each his own. Just curious about what one could need 4 jets for though

They need to experience close to heaven comfort before going to hell.

It is in this part of the world we don't appreciate when God truely blesses a man....If Bishop Oyedepo was poor will you be a member of his church? I guess No.... You guys keep talking about his church memebers, do you know the number of people that have been blessed by his ministry? I can tell you they are uncountable! So just keep your mouths closed if you don't have anything valid to say.

    1. He is not a govt. official, so govt. money no dey there.
    2. His church members are not complaining, so why are you tearing your singlet here? That is why they are his members. It is what they believe, you go and believe ur own too.
    3. Your 5 naira no dey there.
    4. Nobody has ever come to your house with a gun and asked you to donate any money to the Bishop.
    5. They did not write the bible. it is God Himself that said you should pay your tithe and give offferings. So why are you setting up a committee on how the money is spent?
    6. Thank God Christians are topping the list! God does not forget his own.
    7. I wonder why many of you think that because he has money, it is the church tithe and offerings. Don't they have mega businesses? Why will God, who is so big, not bless his own? Why should pastors be struggling like every other person? If my pastor is poor, I will leave the church. why? because if he cannot make himself better, why should i listen to him? How is he supposed to help me get better?

And for those who do not pay their tithes, congrats! The devourer don open shop on top ya head! lol
FYI, Tithe belongs to God and He must collect it. I pray you do not 'pay' it the hard way.

  90. Guys pls let's be careful how we jump into conclusions. Most pple equate poverty or mediocrity with christianity. This is not true, if we practice most of d biblical rules about money, abundance of wealth is promised. If u think God is anti-wealth, why does d bible contain verses abt abundant wealth running over? When Solomon asked 4 wisdom why did God add abundant wealth to his blessings? Those of u hollaring "tithe! Tithe! Una dey work 4 d financial dept of d church 2 knw 4 sure say na d tithe money dem use? Even if ,tithe is to ensure d men of God v enof 2 eat.vIf d feeding money big enof to buy jet how e concern una? Mind u tithe is not 4 charity or to assist d poor, tithe is strictly for d welfare of pastors(read Malachi 3:8-11) V u considered d fact dat some of their members r wealthy enof to collaborate with some other members n gift a jet to their pastors? Sm pple r just hypocrites! If u v access to own a private jet, wldnt u pounce on it? If these same pastors invite sm of u 4 a cruise, una nor go gba igi relay to d jet? Pls leave judgment 4 God. If u think they r hoodwinking their members, kindly relocate to another church. we should careful when we talk about Men of God, Pst E.A. Adeboye did not buy his jet by himself, some set of men(christian) gather 2geda to buy the jet for him as a gift. Pst E. A Adeboye is a real man of God he does not spend anyhow, he gives account of all tittle and offering every year, come for CONGRESS at Lagos Ibadan express road, this year you will be amazed by his report, he will give account of everything.

you will never see Pst. E.A. Adeboye boasting of the wealth he has because he believe that wealth is not his its for the Lord.

Find out very well if he has property on his own.

He does not buy most things he uses, that is the REAL ANOINTED MEN OF GOD" they don't suffer neither do they lack.

secondly when you server a living God you are not meant to suffer, i mean when God really call a Man, his life should envy people, just tap from the anointing instead of insulting them, because its a great curse to insult a man of God.

Pst Oyedepo, is a classical Pst. people have different style, Have u gone for help in his church and hr refuse you access.

Pst, Winner dont allow their member suffer at all, they are always there to help.

remember you are not given your tittle to the pastor you are given it to the work of God "give your tittle and forget what they do with it , its a commandment and there is a blessing attached to it. pray on what you want your tittle to do and give "God in heaven have seen you given your tittle so he is there to attach all the blessings of given tittle to you.

do we expect them to be asking money from congregation, even "YOU" will not want to be associated with a Poor Pastor or poor church.

As for me, I envy and admire them, and i pray that the good lord will take me there, and will give me the grace to be humble, and Holy when i am there.

Evenly distribute your wealth in the aspect of job creation and house the disabled and beggars and you'll have a lot left say 1private jet, not to talk of the cars and real estate. There's nothing wrong with owning property, but in a country with such a wide divide between rich and poor, he should practice moderation.Just wondering how many children has he sponsored their education?how many people has he housed, fed, or clothed? Even two private jets too much for a private citizen in my opinion.I dont know how genuine he is as a servant of God, it aint my place to judge. But doesnt christianity mean being christ-like? There's nothing christ-like in the lifestyle this "man of God" portrays.

First off, Linda why do you like picking on the Bishop? You do this all the time.

Second off, the people who are contributing the tithe are not complaining so which one concern the outsiders?

Thirdly, the Bishop is a successful entrepreneur. He owns the best private university in Nigeria, has written several "local" best sellers and runs several other businesses.

Simplicity of a mans hearth which the Gospel teaches and if you have given your life to spread the WORD sorry you have to show example that is the sacrifice you pay "simplicity" . Owning one private jet is not even a joke at ALLLLLL how much more owing four, WHAT!!!!!! DO you know what that means? do you know the expenses it generates daily just for these four jets to be parked at the airport and the rest? four for what??? you the members has ur leg ever entered those jets...please lets be reasonable and wise and not OVER the TOP. And he also advised a tax collector to give up his wealth and follow him. So my Jesus did not preach prosperity. What bible are you reading???

  146. hmmmm it's like my next move is to open a church......but no, i wont use tithe and offering to buy my jets. i would simply get my group of rich 'friends' to 'do deals' in their place of work and buy me my jets!! I mean surely God would understand that isn't wrong. So when you see a "Cecelia Ibru or "Akingbola" or any of those type business men, pls send them my way!

  148. In normal psychology...Linda might not have posted this if those pastors did not alarmingly featured. Yes, Mike Adenuga and Aliko Dangote should have at least 1 jet because they are business people, but Pastors???? Even if it is one, people would talk small sha, but 3 occurences featuring Bishop's name???

Ok o: Touch not mine Anoninted...tho'

    Judge not...Make God handle.

  152. I pray that God should bless me so much that I will be able to afford a private jet for my pastor . I believe pastors should have the best of everything because they work for God ..but if there is excess of private jet it can be converted to cash and the money will be used for something else that will still glorify God..

  153. All who are quick to judge the men of God are hypocrites. They attend socalled 1st church & leaders dont marry but they luv doing it wt women. yet they dont complain or critisize them. one even had sex wt his 3 nephews. earlier ones kept the affairs secret - & only d younger who was still a virgin that cried out when he incesed her. Others then blew the whole thing out. It happened in d east and nobody talked about it. Tufiakwa!!!!!!!!!! These critisizing Oyedekpo are all hypocrites. They know whats goinig on in their churches but have not cared to ask because they are promised heaven by the womanizers in sutan.
