After she reacted to the reports, some people suggested that the actress was dishonest for debunking the rumour because the only pilots left at Air Nigeria are the Director of Flights Operation and Chief Pilot. But here's the thing; Captain Ekeinde was not particularly sacked by Air Nigeria, but he was among the 800+ people affected by the airline's decision to shut down operation for over a year.

He is a seasoned pilot and can never be out of work for a year. Sorry to disappoint you. He is an excellent pilot and i've been opportuned to fly in his plane his landing is superb. ReplyDeleteThe truth is, Captin Ekeinde was never sacked. he was a pilot working with Arik, Yes! he was on his way to work (to fly that morning) and was held up in traffic; the scheduled flight was getting delayed because he was not yet at the airport. he was called several times while still stuck in traffic and was asked to park his car somewhere safe and possible take a bike while they send someone to come pick his car. he didn't. The flight was delayed and rescheduled, management got angry and suspended him. While he was on the supposed suspension, i guess he decided he was'nt going back to Arik.

I was an air hostess with air Nigeria and let me tell you, JIMOH Ibrahim was and is still owing the whole staff and air Nigeria associates money! He had not paid salaries for two months and all the staff( pilots, engineers,cabin attendants, ground staff even loaders) all downed tools. He started begging but because he's a confirmed liar and braggart, nobody agreed to fly! He gave an ultimatum and when he saw that everyone stood their ground, he decided to according to him, fire " THE ENTIRE COMPANY STAFF" who does that? It was about time anyway as after the Dana crash? Govt has hard on the company and pilots were hard on him for safety rules.
