Mario Balotelli set to undergo eye surgery

Manchester City coach confirmed to reporters today that the 22yr old Italian striker is no longer able to wear contact lenses and requires immediate surgery to correct his Myopia. Myopia is commonly known as shortsightedness.
'Mario is not ready to return to the pitch yet. He no longer seems to tolerate contact lenses. He's feeling alright now, but the problem can return anytime'- the coach told reporters
The surgery is set for Sept 4th.

    2. They never said medical surgery. I'm sure they meant laser surgery and nothing invasive. I dunno the side effects of the procedure cause I would love for my myopia to be gone for good too :(

  9. They must be referring to laser eye surgery. Why are they making it sound extreme, it's a walk-in surgery and he will be walking out the same day. After surgery his eyes will be covered for like an hour and that's it.

  40. Could this effect his career? There are amazing ways to get eye surgery, ones I know will allow him to continue playing but it will still be difficult. Thanks for sharing.
