Delphine, right, gave birth to Guiliana and Bill Rancic's son Edward Duke on August 29. The TV couple revealed the identity of the woman who helped them become parents for the first time in a promo for their reality show which will air Oct 2nd on the Style Network.

ReplyDeletePoint of correction to does that think it was the surrogate egg that was used, this is false Miss G has never hide any fact about the baby issue. The egg tha was used belong to Miss G. She was advise by her doctor not to get pregnant for five years after her cancer issue

I just love how we can go on about great things that happen in the West but we never compare it to what happens at home. Things haven't changed much at home and will never change if we can't ask "well, why don't we have this too"...the bad things, we'll put into practice but the good things, we go compliment am but there is where it ends. #smdh
ReplyDeleteChichiluv you are so slow! Stay there and be looking.. Loads of nigerians have used surrogates... I knw lots and lots! A lot of them do ai insemination too.. All those stories of 49 year old women who have neva had kids givn birth to triplets.. That's ai insemination o!! And surrogacy is just a step up from dat! So while you are feeling your way in d dark ,nigerians have left you o!this comment is not just about surrogacy.. The level of ignorance in some comments baffle me. The world is movin forward in every way, and not a lot of people are hanging about to 'watch', they are hopping on the bandwagon.. Whenever you find that light bulb.. I suggest you do too.

@Chichi - go on Naija sites, nairaland etc and u'l read stories of people who have used surrogates, AI etc, they just dont put it on tv ...only problem with Naija is that there r no up-to-date legal framework within which these things function, hence, a lot of misbehaviour on people part...
Also the social/cultural issues involved, like societal perception of such women etc
@ Wanda - thank you for enlightening me on the issue in a cordial manner. I appreciate it. Nobody knows everything, I don't reside in Nigeria and as you have rightly pointed out, it isn't talked about a lot or put on TV mostly due to our culture, avoidance of stigmas etc.
