Dear lord, what happened to Naomi Campbell's hair?
This is a clear example of what happens when we women keep wearing weaves over an extended period of time. But some of us can't just do without our weaves...:-). Oh dear!
The temples are the most sensitive part of the hair. When installing your weave, ask the hair stylist not to do the corn rows too tightly; this is the result! Also take breaks between your weave and undergo intensive deep conditioning treatments and never let your hair dry out! Take adequate time between your relaxers; too often is detrimental!
u bera learn to go natural girls. My mum told me right after secondary school that relaxing hair and all artificial stuff have longterm disadvantages. But as a young girl, i did it all for one year then quit. I have since then be rocking natural looks for close to 4 years now.... Lets be proud of our natural selves... it aint worth it. short term beauty with long term damages mtcheww.... leaves weaves and relaxers alone! you r beautiful just the way you are (ok weaves, maybe once in a while. but i'll rather do wigs, and keep pampering my scalp :D)
It has even grown back now. Her hair line used to be far behind her ears. No joke! I saw a picture of it. At least now the hair is at her ears so she can put weave there.
omg. not just any weave, the evil LACE WIG. she should just free the hair for a while to let the poor thing recover. A lot of women don't have the courage and patience to take the time needed to 'repair' their hair when it gets damaged. If your gets bad to this level, aint no shame in cutting it all off, and starting over.
oh my goodness this woman is one ugly woman without make up abeg ohh linda make she no come sue you ohhh asin dem no dey take her picture looking like this ohh
hope other ladies are seeing this with dem brazilian har wey dem dey wear
But yet ladies me included won't quit. personally my hair is natural and so the weave won't weaken my hair as quick as if it were relaxed but even i pay more close attention to my hair like adding heat to it very little. we have to pay more attention women, all in the name of beauty we ignore the warning signs to achieve the look only to find we can never take the weave off because our real hair is too damaged. we're no different from Naomi she's human after all so be warned this could be you eventually, you know who you are!
I think it is a bit unfair of you, Linda and other journalists to print a picture of Naomi's hair like that- give the woman a break- she looks better most 20-something year old women!!!
Lace wigs... Now she is practically bald. I`m sure she has tried to regrown her hairline but the damage is pretty bad. Let us try to embrace our natural hair type or at least take good care of our own hair (natural or relaxed)instead off slapping lacewigs or weaves and ignoring breakage underneath.
pot calling the kettle black. No nigerian women should have the nerve to criticize naomi and especially you linda. The whole world knows all oyall nigerian women have more fcked up hair in the world than any group of people.
TAKE OFF YALL HORSE HAIR WEAVES AND LETS SEE WHATS UNDER THERE.
EVERY NIGERIAN WOMAN I KNOW IS BALD ASS FKED UP HAIR RECEDING LINE. EVERYONE.
oh lawd!!! now i see...its totally useless goin thru magazines wishing i looked like one of these stars...i have the most beautiful hairline, i just realized :). my boyfriend would always play me this song by Aaron Lines _ 'you cant hide beautiful'. somehow, seeing how artificial these celebs are makes me feel a lot better...dont blame me bikowa! now, i shud look @ this photo and really LAUGH!!! OMG!!!
She has had this issue for years and yes it is a very prominent issue that no one wants to talk about. It is the fate of women who continue to braid, fix, relax etc. God help us
OMG!!! I can't believe dis. Wot d hell happened to her? I m talking about her face and body not d hair. I can't believe she's dis old. Pls someone should answer me
Its good to take it easy once in a while. No use in wearing weaves constantly if the hair underneath (real hair) is dying. Its always good to switch it up and not wear sew in weaves 24/7. Sad. Artificiality has killed the natural beauty she once had
Black hair contrary to what many assume, is a lot weaker than those of our European or Asian counterparts. Over time, too much relaxing, weaves and braiding damages the follicles on a permanent basis. We are advised to take breaks from one style or the other i.e. doing nothing to the hair and wearing a wig or just letting your hair breathe.
I dont think wearing weaves causes alopecia. The chemicals we use called relaxers , damage our hair and scalp. Please let us embrace the hair God gave us and go natural. Many complain they have very tough natural hair, there are ways you can maintain it and keep your hair soft and bouncy. Ladies, let us enjoy our God given hair, its beautiful!
A BIG LESSON FOR WOMEN ESPECIALLY WITH THIS CRAZE OVER BRAZILLIAN HAIR AND BONDING SOON WOMEN WILL START LOOSING THEIR SIGHT DUE TO EYE LASHES EXTENTIONS.A LOT OF BLACK WOMEN IMITATE EUROPEAN WOMEN FOOLISHLY WITHOUT KNOWING THE IMPLICATIONS OF MOST OF THESE BEAUTY REGIME. HOW MANY OF THIS HOLLYWOOD ACTRESS HAVE LOST THEIR HAIR?NAOMI CAMPBELL WELL DONE FOR EXPOSING YOUR BALD HAIR TO THE WORLD!!!
Chai!see alopecia! must women mess with their hair line, see as Naomi come resemble old mama.Girls,if u must wear a weave then leave your frontal hair line and leave them lace wig, while u r at it.Good Hair makes you look young and fresh! Linda,I know say you no go post my comment as usual.....
My goodness!!! Wow!!! Aside the hair which she should have been treating every now and then, did she age overnight or what?! Hmmmmmm ladies lets try and carry our God given natural hair every now and then and tret treat treat our hair as opposed to paying so much attention to our expensive weaves. For me it's one month weave and two months without cant become a grandmother before I even start having children
It is a form of IRREVERSIBLE hair loss that occurs when hair is excessively pulled.
All you ladies that love weaves and never let your hair breathe or leave it out long enough.....LEARN FROM NAOMI!
My only question for her is why she doesn't get the surgery that partially fixes it. The surgery is several thousand dollars per visit but she should be able to afford it....
This could have been as a result of much weavon fixing, she should discontinue with d fixing of weavon and concentrate on regrowing her hair.In this pix,she still has a weavon on,she has to stop entirely.
hahahahaha! I'm sorry y'all. This is the reason why i'm natural and encourage many people to go natural.
The weave masters are still "enjoying" now because you're still "young". When you hit the 40's and get to Naomi's age, that's when your hair will really start thinning and falling out and u'll be bald in the front. I'm in my early 20's n know people my age who have already lost their front hair.
As my sister's A-level chemistry teacher used to say "You can't cheat nature".
my goodnes is this really naomi//// chei i find that hard to believe she looks very ugly asin nah makeup dey make am shine chei look her hair be like hair wey dog chop remain
She has Alopecia, a MEDICAL condition that makes u lose all you body hair. This is an early stage. Her hair will keep falling out in patches all over her body till she's totally bald. All over.
FORGET STORY, NAIJA GIRLS CAN NEVER DO WITHOUT ONE HAIR EXTENSION OR THE OTHER. EVEN IF ONE NEW WEAVE SOLD FOR N 1MILLION IS BROUGHT OT OUR MARKETS, THEY GO STILL BUY
REMEMBER HOW RIDICULOUS THE PRICE OF BRAZILIAN WEAVES SEEMED AT FIRST, NOW ITS JUST 'GO ON SOUN'
kudos to whomever discovered and made makeup otherwise some of us women ehhh you would not be able to look at us. so nah make up dey make naomi fine nawa ohhh very ugly picture
Its very funny when we African cant stand by our own in their period of trials. she was the same person these foul-mouthed people once looked up to, now they are bull-dozing her personality and career because of some cosmetic mishap. shame!!!
Omg!! She really has big hair problems... quite awful for her rang as a supermodel. She should follow a hair restoration Toronto treatment, because she must do something. However, one day after these photos appeared, she was on the red carpet looking really good... with hair. I think that she wore a wig or something.
She looks like a beast..smh
ReplyDeleteYou are quite right about the excessive wearing of weave on but it might also be health related problem.

ReplyDeleteTraction Alopecia!!!!
ReplyDeletei don't think wearing weaves can do this to someone. There's too much leeching. I think its from over processing of the hair.
