Almost 50 years after they divorced, 85 year old couple remarry

Lena Henderson and Roland Davis (pictured above) divorced in 1964 after being married for over 15 years with four children. They got married as teenagers in Chattanooga, Tenn., during World War II.

They divorced, married other people, had more children, lived different lives but always kept in touch. Exactly 48 years after going their separate ways, Lena and Roland, both 85, remarried this past Saturday in Buffalo.

  14. Thank God they chose not to live in adultery. Bcos mark chapter 10 says anyone who marries a divorced person commits adultery. This is the biblical truth that many choose to ignore. If u can't forgive your spouse after he or she commits adultery be ready to remain single at least till he or she dies. Marriage is forever. So endure and pray
or leave and remain lonely and single

  25. @anon9:24am. Sorry to be a killjoy, but the gospel truth must be told. You may be excited abt remarrying but you are not doing your soul any good. Just read mark chapter 10 and be wiser. You are still married as long as God is concerned. He doesn't honor divorce/seperation. He hates it. Only death of either of u nullifies ur marriage. If I were you,I will spend d rest of my life serving God as 1corinthians 7 says. And praying for your estranged husband to repent.

  30. Another comic relief. But if I may ask, what is their intention of remarrying at such advanced ages?
