ReplyDeleteSimple reason why bad news travels fast is that of the negativity sells. The average person would rather talk about negative stuff than they would positive. Compare comment count on your blog, positive vs negative post and you'll see. It's easier for the average person to be negative than it's for them to be positive. Positivity is a conscious effort, just my 2 cents

ReplyDeletebad news is wat everybody wants to hear, it is natural we are configured to think bad, act bad, feel bad. that is why we get jealous when we hear that our friends are ahead of us why we remain at a good position. it takes a wise and a good man to remain happy when we hear good news generally. even the media (cnn, bbc, aljazeera, presstv, sky news, AIT, NTA) all spread bad news becos it is the order of the day. Boko haram bombed sokoto, it spread it wild fire, but when a man donates to charity, the media wont get it on the news.

Good news is wide spread and is supposed to be the background and widely expected. Bad news is abnormal and supposed to the figure and least expected. Using the background and figure studies, one can easily spot the figure (bad news), which easily stands out from the background and noticed.

ReplyDeleteBad news travel fast cos with people generally.. especially when you are from the bottom class and you see and interact with people that "supposedly" have all the best stuff in the world, there comes the envy and jealousy and bad blood starts to develop and then as soon as they hear something bad has happened they help spread the news cos the feel the person was a show off or snub so deserves anything bad that happens to them....

ReplyDeletePls i'll like to call your attention to what is going on at the baggage area at MMIA. I came into the country a few days ago with my family, waited for about 3 hours for our suitcases, just to get home and find out that virtually all we came with had been stolen at the baggage area. Apparently, what they are doing is delaying larger suitcases, ransacking them and helping themselves with whatever they want.
This is totally appalling! I've thought about where to lodge my complaint, but cldnt think of any where else, thus this mail. Pls if you can throw more light on this issue on your blog so that FAAN and the general public become aware of this disgusting act. Thanks and stay blessed!
