  36. Let me just correct doz dat sd naija no fit get 1st place. D nation in 1st place is d unsafest n most dangerous. So we stil get an iota of safety pass 5 other countries. Den I can't blame d MUGUN's dat did dis list becos we naija dey always dey sel rselves cheap n neva react wen RUBBISH is bin written bout us.If we slam dem law suit n make sure we win den it wil hlp curb al dez razz n faulty news bout us. 44. It is interest you to see that the first 5 are war torn countries and the list of non-war countries start from Nigeria. I think it is a shame. We should call a spade a spade. Nigeria is not as safe as it used to be. Yes we love Nigeria but the leaders have to be sincere and the people have to know who their common enemy is. Christians and Moslems are not at war. We have always lived together and we will continue to live together. We will be great again...but when?

  50. SHAME SHAME on you all that think nigeria is not so dangerous....... ARE you for real , naija has no value for life . People die like chickens everyday , where do we start from - Boko , kidnapping , armed robberies, plane crash , accidents ...The list goes on

Nigeria is a death trap , useless country ...**Hiss ** , instead of us to accept the fact and figure how to make it better . we rather live in denial . How many more people have to die first before this country get fixed.
Nigeria should be number 1 on the list

  51. THIS COUNTRY IS SUCH A SAD PLACE TO BE NOW...

    ReplyDelete
  52. Don't you just love the way they lump the whole country together as unsafe..I blame the power shift in the world and their control over the media that makes foreign countries protrayed as heavenly..I know from experience some places in UK\US that I would never be caught dead!!..places u be so petrified to walk through during the day.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Instead of people focusing on why some other country is not on the list, how about focusing on WHY Nigeria is on the list and what can be done to remove our name from some a disgraceful enumeration? We deserve to be on that list jare for these reasons: Boko Haram bombings, armed robbery, kidnappings, road accidents, plane crashes, police brutality, high tension electrical wire incidences, hospital death houses, infant and maternal mortality.

I don't even tell people before I go to Nigeria except for my closest aunt and the person picking me up from the airport because I'm afraid someone would way lay me because I dey come from Yankee. I send my money ahead of me, I don't carry but a few dollar bills with me...which kain place be dat? You can't even take a cross country trip in Nigeria because you might get way laid on the road, raped, robbed and shot. The last time I took a road trip without MOPO from Aba to Abuja was in 1990 and it was such great fun to see other parts of Nigeria but as recently as 2010, I had to have MOPO in the car just to go from Port Harcourt to Bayelsa and back to Aba. This is why Nigeria is on the list!

Yes, no country is ABSOLUTELY without it's trials and tribulations but at least, I can jump in my car and drive from NY to California...a 3day trip...without worrying if I'll make it there safely.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I wonder about the criteria that were used to compile the list. No matter, Nigeria is a dangerous place thanks to corruption, which has led to great insecurity in the country. If one looks at most issues facing Nigeria today, it all boils down to corruption. The recent Dana air crash was the result of corruption.

At least we're nt first on d list meanin there's still hope...nigeria hs made it a point of duty to alwayz appear in anythin gud or bad.

  65. fellow naijerians...make we talk true. the ranking is true!! there are daily attacks by hoodlums in apongbon; carter bridge; alapere etc

    what about that???

    ReplyDelete
  66. You want to know what makes Nigeria so dangerous? The kind of people who come on here and try to pretend it's not dangerous. Don't acknowledge the truth and bring forth constructive solutions please. Instead, wallow in your denial and accuse others of trying to 'rubbish' the country's name. What do other Nigerians have to gain by speaking negative UNTRUTHS about the country we live in? Nonsense.
