Levi Ajuonuma, Aikhomu on board ill fated Dana plane + GEJ declares 3 days of mourning

Former broadcaster and NNPC General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Dr Levi Ajuonuma was on board the ill fated Dana plane. If you don't know who Levi is, please Google him.

5 members of Staff of Nigerian University Commissions (NUC) and Ehime Aikhomu, son of former Vice President, Late Admiral Augustus Aikhomu, were also on board.

I have quite a number of names and photos of those who died, but waiting for manifest from Dana.

Meanwhile President Jonathan has declared three days of mourning for those who lost their lives. He also asked that the Nigerian flag be flown at half mast for the three days. More coming...

  9. linda take a look at your blog, its obvious a lot of bad things are happening.i don't care about the 3 days mourning, cos i"m angry that all those lives were lost and it could have been prevented. Imagine the people dana bought the plane from saying they are surprised it was allowed to fly.see what corruption has caused! cos that plane shouldn't be allowed into nigeria's airspace.

My prayers goes out to the bereaved families. So sad.

  43. Who heard TB Joshua's prophecy??? If u dint, dis is what he sed :The founder of Synagogue Church of
All Nations, Prophet T.B Joshua has
    warned Nigerians flying local airlines
to be prayerful while travelling as he
said God has revealed to him an
imminent plane crash which will not
be caused by technical faults, but by
    a security breach.
If you have followed his prophesies
    well, last two prophesies we
featured came to pass. According to
    him;
“God had shown me a prophesy
    concerning the aviation industry, the
imminent plane crash will not be
caused by a pilot error or due to a
faulty airplane, but will be security-
    related.
The plane crash, if not averted, will
involve one of Nigeria’s local flights.
I wish to therefore advise Nigerians
to pray zealously so that the country
will not experience such a disaster,
which might claim the lives of many
    government officials. As part of
measures to avoid being a victim of
the crash, people who want to travel
by air should always recite Psalm 91
before boarding any aircraft in order
to ensure safe landing,” he said.!

  47. Nigeria and Nigerians should seriously turn to God, irrespective of the divide. It's high time we stop playing religious with power, and begin to get commited to God. All else more is on the way.

We do not need a Prophet or an Alpha to know that God is angry with this Nation He so much love. Our sins are finding us out.

11Chronicles 7v14 is today speaking to Nigeria and Nigerians "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land".

Nigerians!there are so much evil and wickedness in this land as have never witnessed before now. We all need to arise and cry to God!

My heart goes out to the grieving families. We're all mourning!!!

  48. All said. Something is obviously wrong. Has GEJ made pact with demons to suck out the blood of his ppl? There is blood flowing freely in the land and d usual condolence sent out. 52. Enough is Enough!! What is wrong with Nigeria?? Why are these local Airline Operators killing poor innocent Nigerians?? From SOSOLISO to CHACHANGI to BELLVIEW to ADC to DANA AIRLINES now. These are all avoidable deaths but I wonder what FAAN and Nigeria Aviation Authority is doing or has done ever since considering the fact that these local Plane crashes are rather too frequent with so many innocent lives being lost to the negligence and nonchalant attitude of the Nigerian Aviation Authorities.
In recent time there has never been any international Plane crash to and fro Nigeria, this is because all Airline Operators operating in the international scene MUST be subjected to meet international standards before they are issued licenses. But in Nigeria where anything is obtainable the Local Airliners operate with a Plane as old as Nebuchadnezzar.... from 2003 to date there has been over 5 Local Plane crashes in Nigeria with over 250 innocent lives lost, Can't the Nigerian Aviation industry bag their ass and set a modern standard for our Local Airliners??????? Do We have to be losing so much innocent lives due to their negligence and corruption?
Oh Mr GEJ, it doesn't stop at declaring 3 days mourning Holiday, the Nigeria Aviation Authority should be totally overhauled and refurbished with modern standard of aviation technologies with competent and incorruptible Agencies to regulate our Aviation industry to ensure this kind of avoidable deaths never befall Nigerians again!!
I weep for all these wasted innocent lives.. May God have mercy on the souls of the departed and grant them eternal rest... Amen

  56. It is most unfortunate that we are allowing little details skip us especially in the case of well established structures that ought to be run professionally. How on earth will they allow such an old aircraft to fly? If it developed gear problem 3mins after take-off, surely the pilot and the airline were aware... This is a total wreck. May the Almighty give the various families the strenght to bear this very avoidable loss.

We all lack the maintenance culture. We all have lost the conscience of hammering on a particular issue till we see the result. We all have not employed who is best qualified to work in a particular position. We all refuse to grow in order to bring out our best in us.

Dear fellow Nigerians. In your mind do you think that this should not have happened? Well… we all say no. Do you know how many people die on our roads, hospitals… etc daily? Lack of maintenance culture can be seen everywhere. God has blessed this nation but we choose to destroy ourselves. We are all looking for short cuts in everything we do. We all can make a change right now from where we are sitting down to draw this country to the right part. Believe me as I am typing right now a lot of plans are in bad state and will soon be on the air. Nobody cares, we Nigerians nobody cares, but we are always in a hurry to call on God for help to help us, while we sit down and do nothing, when God has given you all you need, yet we hindered his voice. He has blessed us more than any other nation. The alarming thing is that in this country we do things and behave as someday we will not die. Nobody cares for the future. Nothing is working here in Nigeria; no love can be seen in all we do. So much hatred for one another.

Nigeria must have 24hrs electricity in this country. What is the solution? lets all Nigerians start with the eletricity. We must have light slogan…. .We must have light. We have to say it in the morning, in the afternoon and in the evening. We must have light. You are a leader from where you are. Write, call, and use the internet to voice out and make your point. Make some research and get your first hand information. Why we are still in darkness? Why must things not change? Remember anybody could have been on that plan. It could be have landed on anybody house.

To GEJ---Please stop trying to decieve us with 3 days mourning and half flown flags and changing school names when tragics like this strike us. Please go and do your job as our president and fix up the crack in the Nigerian Aviation system so stuff like this will not happen. Tell us how you are going to investigate how the crash came about and what you are going to do to fix it up and prevent it from happening again. I noticed that all GEJ does these days, is give Nigerian days off work and rename schools to quiet ppl from talking. Please someone tell our Presido, to go and fix our Aviation System and stop all these airlines flying with damaged planes.

O yes I'm an idiot I don't disagree but just yesterday the whole country stood still and then what already people are back to their lives...life goes on cos we are Nigerians, nothing works but it isn't spirits that rund the country its people ruining the country while they feel their families are tucked away somewere safe,so let's runaway like all our youths are doing but the situation won't change then we continue the roller coaster ride then mourn again because if there is no change we are just fooling ourselves!
So what you are grieving I'm grieving too but our 'God God God mentality' and 'life goes on actions' our time to stop mourning isn't near I'm sorry to say!
