5 members of Staff of Nigerian University Commissions (NUC) and Ehime Aikhomu, son of former Vice President, Late Admiral Augustus Aikhomu, were also on board.
I have quite a number of names and photos of those who died, but waiting for manifest from Dana.
Meanwhile President Jonathan has declared three days of mourning for those who lost their lives. He also asked that the Nigerian flag be flown at half mast for the three days. More coming...
LEVI? *JESUS WHY?*
ReplyDeleted manifest is out,we need updates plsss...

ReplyDeletelinda take a look at your blog, its obvious a lot of bad things are happening.i don't care about the 3 days mourning, cos i"m angry that all those lives were lost and it could have been prevented. Imagine the people dana bought the plane from saying they are surprised it was allowed to fly.see what corruption has caused! cos that plane shouldn't be allowed into nigeria's airspace.

BLOODY INDIANS
ReplyDeleteLast time I chked Gej was still Nigerian
DeleteNYC-1 says: I hope the lawmakers in Nigeria will enact a law banning every aircraft that is more than 20 years old from flying. I feel so sad; this could have been anyone of us - yes anyone of us. I came back home sometime ago from U.S. and board one of these airlines.
ReplyDeleteMy prayers goes out to the bereaved families. So sad.
U travel by road, A tanker will catch fire..by air, plane crashes..u sit in ur house, the plane will come and meet u, u go to church boko haram will attack u,u go by sea, militants will attack,u finally run to ur village,u r kidnapped..! No safe place in Nigeria.What. A life? Nigeria is in HELL
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely true and very heartbreaking. I wonder if time has come for the wrath of God because no evil deed goes unpunished. Sadly again it is the poor and innocent getting hurt which is rather unfortunate. Not happy with our govt at all.
DeleteOMG... That's DJ Obi's Father. This is a Crazy World that we live in. His family is chilling in Yankee and he died here in this useless Nigeria. Smh. May his soul RIP. Amen
ReplyDeleteMaybe their souls rest in peace I personal know lost a friend still in tears

ReplyDeleteMay the gentle soul of our LEVI and others rest in perfect
ReplyDeleteIf actual d rumours that d crashed airplane developed gear problem @ uyo couple of days ago and d company dat sold d aircraft to Dana Air was surprise that Dana air allowed d aircraft to fly, Dana Air needs serious sanction or closure......Pls our law makers we need a law banning airlines using aircraft that is more than 10yrs old, Nigeria is no dumping ground, better still FG should give loans to these airlines to buy new aeroplanes.
ReplyDeleteI support dis motion, Dana airline needs a serious sanctioning nd FG shuld pls do sumfin abt d Insecurity....
Deleteeverybody in dat crash are important. we have lost 160 in that crash. director or richman son, we are sad to lose everybody in dat plane. so sad. may their soul rest in peace
ReplyDeletePlease I'm sorry to be insensitive but I'm irked to say,if a former Vps son can be on the list, let all the 'untouchables' causing avoidable deaths and hardship on the innocent nigerians know that death is no respecter of persons!
ReplyDeleteMay God grant all who lost someone I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ d crash d heart to bear d loss n May the souls of the departed rest I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ peace.
ReplyDeleteHow will flying flags at half mast help any frigging body? GEJ's brain is on sabbatical as usual, a lasting solution to Nigs aviation problems should be implemented and the airline owners held accountable. #stupidstupidpresident #gejsiqis<1
ReplyDeleteSo sad. Very sad.
ReplyDeleteCondolences to d berieved families
ReplyDeleteSomebody tell fani kayode to shut up
ReplyDeleteNIGERIA FLAG SHOULD BE BURNED WTF, PEOPLE DYING LIKE CHICKEN . BOMB/ AIR CRASH/ ROAD CRASH . NO SAFTY RULES.. NO EMERGENCY .... WHY WONT I RUN OUT OF THE COUNTRY..GOD HAVE MERCY. BRING THE STUPID FLAG DOWN FOR ONE WEEK. DISRESPECT THE COUNTRY NOTHING GOOD COME OUT OF NAIJA, ALL I HEAR IS BAD NEWS.. WHY SHOULD I BE HAPPY.
ReplyDeleteYYYYYYY?
SO SAD
Nnennai.
DeleteMy thots exactly.
The plane was on its way to Abuja from Lagos and not the other way around. The passengers on board where those that boarded from Lagos.
ReplyDeleteRIP
The news is very terrifying.its obvious this country is no longer safe and that spells trouble. Yet,the only thing Jonathan could think of is 3 days mourning! Will dat solve d nations problem or is it not better that the problem of insecurity of nigerians is seriously looked into? May God help us.
ReplyDeletedis jonathan na just brainless! so 3days mourning is d answer..to further cripple the already deteriorating economy and unleash further hardship on nigerians, most of whom live from hand to mouth!
ReplyDeleteLevi Ajunonuma!!I knew him right from when I was growing up, no need for google.
ReplyDeleteWho heard TB Joshua's prophecy??? If u dint, dis is what he sed :The founder of Synagogue Church of
ReplyDeleteAll Nations, Prophet T.B Joshua has
warned Nigerians flying local airlines
to be prayerful while travelling as he
said God has revealed to him an
imminent plane crash which will not
be caused by technical faults, but by
a security breach.
If you have followed his prophesies
well, last two prophesies we
featured came to pass. According to
him;
“God had shown me a prophesy
concerning the aviation industry, the
imminent plane crash will not be
caused by a pilot error or due to a
faulty airplane, but will be security-
related.
The plane crash, if not averted, will
involve one of Nigeria’s local flights.
I wish to therefore advise Nigerians
to pray zealously so that the country
will not experience such a disaster,
which might claim the lives of many
government officials. As part of
measures to avoid being a victim of
the crash, people who want to travel
by air should always recite Psalm 91
before boarding any aircraft in order
to ensure safe landing,” he said.!
Actually watched d service where he gave dis testimony.was praying fervently dat dis prophesy wldnt come to pass cos most of his prophesies do.its jst so sad!
DeleteSad, sad, sad. No words.
ReplyDeletesisiekomi; you are wrong. Read it again.
ReplyDelete@ sisiekomi ---- are you dat daft ? why can't you read or watch the news trending before commenting the plane was coming from abuja to lagos , it's all over the place pls .
ReplyDeleteNigeria and Nigerians should seriously turn to God, irrespective of the divide. It's high time we stop playing religious with power, and begin to get commited to God. All else more is on the way.
ReplyDeleteWe do not need a Prophet or an Alpha to know that God is angry with this Nation He so much love. Our sins are finding us out.
11Chronicles 7v14 is today speaking to Nigeria and Nigerians "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land".
Nigerians!there are so much evil and wickedness in this land as have never witnessed before now. We all need to arise and cry to God!
My heart goes out to the grieving families. We're all mourning!!!
All said. Something is obviously wrong. Has GEJ made pact with demons to suck out the blood of his ppl? There is blood flowing freely in the land and d usual condolence sent out. Would anyone ever be sent to jail or required to pay the supreme price for killing ma oga Levi and 152 other Nigerians? Badluck Jona you try u hear! Goodnite oga Levi!
ReplyDeleteThe plane crash has notyn to do wt jonothan. Pls let's be sensible. Let's stp cursn nd pray 4 d dead
DeleteOur justice system so crippled,a lot of sad things happen n nobody is held accountable, human life alwaz toiled with in this country n those responsible for such cruel acts are not sued,so they just go about playing carelessness with pples lives.its sad indeed
ReplyDeleteMay Almighty God grant their family the fortitude to bear the loss.May He deliver Nigeria(a potential great country) from all calamities confronting her ranging from Niger delta militancy to boko haram menace and now plane crash.God please deliver this country from all evil forces(known and unknown).God bless Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteTobee you are an idiot! People should die cause you think they are "untouchables"? My grief won't let me respond to you.
ReplyDeleteAs for the person that said the plane was going to Abuja from Lagos... SHUT UP and read something. Hiss
Well I would reply you, because for every dime someone steals someone is paying with his blood. So if you are 1of thos then keep soaking your hands in blood and see if the law of karma won't take its full course!
DeleteNigerians like to shout God!God!! Like God would come from heaven to save us,I say it God was there for a plane that big to affect only 2houses.
Don't do the right thing and keep praying and let's see if we continue this way we won't keep mourning people! B
I totaly understand where tobee is coming from,I think you are the idiot here.
DeleteEnough is Enough!! What is wrong with Nigeria?? Why are these local Airline Operators killing poor innocent Nigerians?? From SOSOLISO to CHACHANGI to BELLVIEW to ADC to DANA AIRLINES now. These are all avoidable deaths but I wonder what FAAN and Nigeria Aviation Authority is doing or has done ever since considering the fact that these local Plane crashes are rather too frequent with so many innocent lives being lost to the negligence and nonchalant attitude of the Nigerian Aviation Authorities.
ReplyDeleteIn recent time there has never been any international Plane crash to and fro Nigeria, this is because all Airline Operators operating in the international scene MUST be subjected to meet international standards before they are issued licenses. But in Nigeria where anything is obtainable the Local Airliners operate with a Plane as old as Nebuchadnezzar.... from 2003 to date there has been over 5 Local Plane crashes in Nigeria with over 250 innocent lives lost, Can't the Nigerian Aviation industry bag their ass and set a modern standard for our Local Airliners??????? Do We have to be losing so much innocent lives due to their negligence and corruption?
Oh Mr GEJ, it doesn't stop at declaring 3 days mourning Holiday, the Nigeria Aviation Authority should be totally overhauled and refurbished with modern standard of aviation technologies with competent and incorruptible Agencies to regulate our Aviation industry to ensure this kind of avoidable deaths never befall Nigerians again!!
I weep for all these wasted innocent lives.. May God have mercy on the souls of the departed and grant them eternal rest... Amen
this is so sad...God help us
ReplyDeleteDr. Levi Ajuonoma open house party RIP
ReplyDeleteMay their souls rest in Peace
ReplyDeleteIt is most unfortunate that we are allowing little details skip us especially in the case of well established structures that ought to be run professionally. How on earth will they allow such an old aircraft to fly? If it developed gear problem 3mins after take-off, surely the pilot and the airline were aware... This is a total wreck. May the Almighty give the various families the strenght to bear this very avoidable loss.
ReplyDeleteMay their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace, Amen. - KC
ReplyDeleteWe all have turned our backs on God. We all are guilty of corruption. We all have not said the truth. We all have not said what we ought to say. We all have diverted funds. We all lack the maintenance culture. We all have lost the conscience of hammering on a particular issue till we see the result. We all have not employed who is best qualified to work in a particular position. We all refuse to grow in order to bring out our best in us.
ReplyDeleteDear fellow Nigerians. In your mind do you think that this should not have happened? Well… we all say no. Do you know how many people die on our roads, hospitals… etc daily? Lack of maintenance culture can be seen everywhere. God has blessed this nation but we choose to destroy ourselves. We are all looking for short cuts in everything we do. We all can make a change right now from where we are sitting down to draw this country to the right part. Believe me as I am typing right now a lot of plans are in bad state and will soon be on the air. Nobody cares, we Nigerians nobody cares, but we are always in a hurry to call on God for help to help us, while we sit down and do nothing, when God has given you all you need, yet we hindered his voice. He has blessed us more than any other nation. The alarming thing is that in this country we do things and behave as someday we will not die. Nobody cares for the future. Nothing is working here in Nigeria; no love can be seen in all we do. So much hatred for one another.
Nigeria must have 24hrs electricity in this country. What is the solution? lets all Nigerians start with the eletricity. We must have light slogan…. .We must have light. We have to say it in the morning, in the afternoon and in the evening. We must have light. You are a leader from where you are. Write, call, and use the internet to voice out and make your point. Make some research and get your first hand information. Why we are still in darkness? Why must things not change? Remember anybody could have been on that plan. It could be have landed on anybody house.
it is well.................
ReplyDeleteMay all the departed souls on this ill fated flight rest in peace!
ReplyDeleteTo GEJ---Please stop trying to decieve us with 3 days mourning and half flown flags and changing school names when tragics like this strike us. Please go and do your job as our president and fix up the crack in the Nigerian Aviation system so stuff like this will not happen. Tell us how you are going to investigate how the crash came about and what you are going to do to fix it up and prevent it from happening again. I noticed that all GEJ does these days, is give Nigerian days off work and rename schools to quiet ppl from talking. Please someone tell our Presido, to go and fix our Aviation System and stop all these airlines flying with damaged planes.
Chy--
Linda, you see were corruption is leading nigeria to,Cos.people are not doing what they are expected to do, cos.of EGUNJE,and put our lives at risk, roads are not safe,no train, airspace na wahala, how do we go?or can we say we are in badluck era?
ReplyDeleteMay his soul rest in peace, I used to admire me this man as a kid back in the days of Newsline.... get familiar with Xeroz, He is coming out Huge

O yes I'm an idiot I don't disagree but just yesterday the whole country stood still and then what already people are back to their lives...life goes on cos we are Nigerians, nothing works but it isn't spirits that rund the country its people ruining the country while they feel their families are tucked away somewere safe,so let's runaway like all our youths are doing but the situation won't change then we continue the roller coaster ride then mourn again because if there is no change we are just fooling ourselves!
ReplyDeleteSo what you are grieving I'm grieving too but our 'God God God mentality' and 'life goes on actions' our time to stop mourning isn't near I'm sorry to say!
It was quiet an unfortunate thing to happen at dis time. I sincerely feel grieve for what happened, may thier souls reat in peace
