In a blistering public petition, Mr. Nnorom, who resigned his appointment with the airline on April 1, 2012, blamed the situation on big businessman Jimoh Ibrahim, the chairman of Air Nigeria, whom he accused of being uninterested in the maintenance of company aircraft.
“Some of the certifying Engineers and I are under threat of assassination by Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim, if we reveal this secret to Nigerians,” he said.Mr. Nnorom said that upon his resignation, he wrote a letter in which he said he preferred to die than to be a witness to over 100 souls perishing in an Air Nigeria aircraft.
He disclosed that Air Nigeria is in financial crisis because money loaned by Bank of Industry of N35.5Billion has been diverted into Mr. Ibrahim’s NICON INVESTMENT LTD, a non-finance company popularly called wonder bank, leading to air safety being compromised, and stressed that there is a great possibility of a disastrous Air Nigeria crash, which can occur at any time.
He recalled that in Jan 2012, Licensed Engineers in Air Nigeria went on strike because they were being forced to certify unfit aircraft into the air, and another strike was averted in March 2012 following the intervention of the DG-NCAA, Demureen. Both events, he said, were based on failure on Failure To Meet Safety Standard, and are verifiable information the public is aware of.
Why are Air Nigeria flights sometimes delayed for as many as eight hours? According to the petitioner, that is because the aircraft for that flight is not ready. “While passengers are waiting, engineers are battling to put the aircraft on Air. Several times our Aircraft on Runway taxing to takeoff, turns back to offload passengers due to some technical faults observed by Pilots.”
He said that of the 11 aircraft being operated by Air Nigeria, only one, Embraer, is safe to fly Nigeria Air space, with all of the others needing “deep and heavy” technical maintenance.
“This explains why Air Nigeria has never operated more than six Aircraft out of eleven Aircraft. Air Nigeria do not have the money to fix these Aircrafts. Let anybody go and check now, some of the Aircraft and Engines have been grounded for the past one year.”
Mr. Nnorom even advised Nigerians who choose to take the risk of flying Air Nigeria not to eat or drink anything, pointing out that passengers have been poisoned because Air Nigeria serves bottled pure water, and that passengers have complained of being served “smelling waters.”
Mr. Nnorom further claimed in the petition that Mr. Ibrahim’s companies, including Air Nigeria, do not have tax clearance certificates. He listed the others as Global Fleet Oil & Gas, NICON Insurance, Nigeria RE-Insurance, NICON Properties Ltd, Nicon Luxury, Nicon Hotels Okitipupa, VGC & PHC, Newswatch Communications, Newswatch Daily and National Mirror.
“In Air Nigeria, just to renew expatriate resident permit, Bar Jimoh Ibrahim will instruct a vendor to forge all the tax clearance papers which is filed with the immigration.”
Mr. Nnorom alleges that Mr. Ibrahim:
• As the chairman of Air Nigeria, has diverted N5billion From a BOI aviation industry intervention loan Of N35.5billion granted last year by the federal government through the Central Bank of Nigeria into NICON INVESTMENT LTD;
• Diverted $18m Out Of $40m Afrixim federal government support of the aviation industry; with $26,969,505.63 diverted into Mr. Ibrahim’s acquisition of Energy Bank of Ghana;
• Diverted N10 billion released by the government through the office of the Accountant-General of Nigeria for the payment of pensioners into Nicon Insurance Plc released the sum of, with no pensioner being paid.
Mr. Nnorom insisted that Mr. Ibrahim is trying to kill him, and attached his letter of resignation and subsequent acknowledgement by the CEO and FOREIGN LEASSORS to the petition.
“On the SFU, recovery of $75,000 from me, I was never arrested, never invited by SFU, did not make any statement, I do not know how money was recovered from me,” he said. “I am ready to sponsor any person to come with me to SFU and show me my statement,” attributing the matter to Mr. Ibrahim’s “poor character of cheap blackmail.”
According to the former Executive Director, “Jimoh Ibrahim is after my life but if my death will save hundred Nigerian souls from plane crash and that is the will of GOD, my soul will be happy to meet my creator anytime.”

ReplyDeleteOro pesi je!
ReplyDeleteIsn't this the same Jimoh Ibrahim you put up here that bought a whole 5 Star hotel in Dubai??..bet thats well maintained..like to see him patronise his own airline!!
ReplyDeleteNawa oooo , thank God he came out oo and I was think they are the best. Hope arik and Aero don't have issues ooo else Trekking becomes the safest means of transport.
ReplyDeleteIt is in Nigeria that you can start an airline business with 5 planes. Come to Atlanta and see the number of planes owned by Delta Airlines, or even go to Dallas to see the fleet owned by American Airlines. We will manage people's lives. That could have been me on the crash...as I travelled to Abuja very frequently when I was in Nigeria on work assignments. There were days when our flights took off at 12midnight. I am tired of Nigeria...I dont even know if I wanna be a change agent no more. I just want to live comfortably and be at peace...
ReplyDeleteI feel u completely my dear. After 7years of been away from dat country and leaving in complete peace here overseas,I always get d chills whenever my hubby suggests we visit naija even for a 2wk hols.
DeleteFROM JUNE 2012 UPWARDS GO TOUGH O!!! ACTION + REACTION LEFT RIGHT CENTRE UP AND DOWN!!! 74.
ReplyDelete*hiss* I smell blackmail!
ReplyDeleteHe is the Director of Finance of Air Nigeria, how come he has such in-depth details about all the other companies? I am not absolving Jimoh Ibrahim of whatsoever crime he might be guilty of but in this case all I see is a devious attention seeking man trying to cash in on the unfortunate situation; emotions are high, people will act based on sentiments and we all looking for scape goats.
When stuff like this happen, all sorts of heroes spring up and launch themselves into National relevance e.g. Fani Kayode.
Since April 1st that he resigned, he just found time to tell us all these two months after. How convenient!
Definitely a loft of shenanigans must be happening at Air Nigeria and it needs to be checked and our Oga Director needs to be checked too.
I had so much regard for your comments until this one. Smh. This is why Nigeria will never be great. You smell what? U better fine tune your nose. Later you people will ask why the man didn't talk. Smh
DeleteSo ur problem is dat his cming forwrd aftr 2 months of resignation, 2 or 5 months!! All dat matters is dat he is riskn his life 2 warn evry1. He culd've easily kpt quite n mnded his business while u fly air nigeria.

Deletethis country where we dey go. selfishness wan kill some people. shame to politcians in nig.senators fight over pay rise.nigerians are suffering. common water nig no get. elephant can fly in nig.
ReplyDeleteNot saying air nigeria or any other airline in nigeria isnt a flying coffin but this sounds like personal beef with Jimoh Ibrahim.. abeg Mr former director go lick ur wounds somewhere. As for all these airline owners i wonder if they travel on these airlines themselves. Na God go save us for this country
ReplyDeleteBut the finance director is right. Because air nigeria engineers are presently on strike. Since last week. My money was even refunded at the airport. If the engineers went on strike for our safety, I totally support them. Associated airline is also a flying coffin...
DeleteIs this report timely? Terrific asks
ReplyDeletenawa o! things are happening
ReplyDeleteIt may be true oooo...Since it was handed over or bought by or given to JIMOH IBRAHIM a.k.a. "anything i put hand dey spoil", series of things have gone wrong.... Please be warned

ReplyDeleteIts all happening..God bless this man..this is the same problem with power supply..no one wants to rock the boat..
ReplyDeleteThis was the same Airline that was delayed for 5-6 hours during my last trip to Abuja!!...now I know..lawd have mercy..my parents didn't want me to go on that trip..cos Boko Haram was at its peak..last xmas/new year's eve!!
Where will we run to in this country?? Nothing works, human lives are bartered for money, no one cares about human lives! I GIVE UP!!!

ReplyDeleteOlodo, u should know that it won't even make it as news to this blog if he had said it in April when there was no incident cos ppl will take it as just one of those regular news.
DeleteWhat a world,God what we need from you is divine intervention....God,heal the world, heal Nigeria!
ReplyDeletena wa o!
ReplyDeleteMy heart is burdened from reading this. I live in the UK but have family and friends who live back home. To think that a disaster that could be avoided is actually due to negligence on the part of our leaders and corrupt business men is disheartening. We certainly need a change! Enough is Enough.
ReplyDeleteI pray this is the beginning of a revolution, desperately needed in Nigeria. Enough is enough.
ReplyDeleteSpeechless!!
ReplyDeleteI can tell you authoritatively that Air Nigeria is truly a flying coffin.Jimoh Ibrahim is only interested in owing every biz,but what happens @ d end?they all go down.the working condition in Air Nigeria and Arik Air is d worst in Nigeria.these companies owes several months salaries before paying and d maintenance culture is nothing to write home about.Another airline you need to be careful of is First Nation, just one aircraft is working presently out of the 3 they have and the a/c maintanance and staff welfare is very poor.I work in d aviation industry and I know how things work there.just blame NCAA.
ReplyDeleteONOME says........

WHAAAAAAAATTTTTTT?
This world is full of evil. Why re ppl so wicked?, Thank God for ppl like MR Nnorom speaking up for wat happens behind closed doors. Jimoh Ibrahim pls don't joke with ppls Life, God is watching U? I ll neva fly air nigeria again.!
ReplyDeletei smell a rat. y does d pertitioner had to wait until d dana air crash b4 driving home his point. wht if it was a air nigeria plane dat crashed at iju yesterday???? wht would he have been saying by now. i do not believe dis story one bit. but let us investigate every of our airlines operating in nigeria. i sense dis is anoda pull him down syndrome.
ReplyDeleteThe same way u smell a rat may they not smell d roasted remains of ur charred body in an air-nigeria plane crash.Jimoh Ibrahim's a very shady character and the sooner idiots like u stop worshipping his loot d longer u'll live.Billionaires don't just emerge over night, they build their wealth.
DeleteOmg, I miss my country sooo much but the thought of coming back home even for a day freaks me out. I have sleepiness nights thinking of how unsafe naija is. Imagine wat this ex executive director just said about Air Nigeria. It is totally believable coming from him. God have mercy
ReplyDeletevery true!
ReplyDeletegot on their plane once and they had to cancel the flight because there was no pressure or something on the plane.they told us to wait for several hours that they were fixing it and thats how we were told to go on the plane around 8pm.It is very very very very true.the airline is inefficient and they are not well managed.be warned!
Air Nigeria never again he who has ears let him hear.
ReplyDeleteI know someone who works as an engineer for air nigeria. He always travels by land cos he said that what goes on behind the scenes is scary. He works with them yet he can't fly with them cos he knows their secrets. Imagine that!
ReplyDeleteNa now u dey talk abi?
DeleteYes, cos he just spoke out yesterday. I would not have known myself if he had not spoken out.
DeleteA lot of rot in the various sectors of Nigerian economy and only if ppl will be courageous to speak up putting behind their personal interests then the Country would be able to move forward. Most of the ppl at the helm of affairs both in public and private sectors r highly irresponsible and need to be exposed. If Jimoh Ibrahim with all the ill gotten wealth he has would authorise the usage of fake tax clearance certificate for the companies busines then who does the Govt expect to generate revenue from? Me? I totally believe Mr John and pray that God will give others like him the courage to speak up.
ReplyDeleteEni ti Oba ni eti,ko gboo *holding my ear*
ReplyDeleteU travel by road, a tanker will catch fire.. By air, plane crashes.. U sit in ur house, the plane will come and meet u, U go to church boko haram will attack u, U go by sea, Militants will attack, U finally run to ur village, U r kidnapped..! No safe place in Naija. What A life? God Have Mercy....
ReplyDeleteThat is the country we live in, if u don't want to part of evil pple are doing they will threatened ur life. God bless u Mr Nnorom. u are right, on Jan this yr, i boarded air Nigeria 4r Lagos to PH, it rained heavily in lagos that day oh boy!! it's God that save us, infact it was a near miss. since then i ve phobia for planes especially air Nigeria. mere looking at their planes u will knw that they don't ve maintenance culture. Nigerians BEWARE!!, pple will start beefing u but that is their business as long as u ve done what ur conscience ask u to do. To hell with any body that will try to cheap blackmail u. this ur information can save ppls lives
ReplyDeleteJust released from FRSC : New way of crossing roads in Nigeria - Look Left, then Right, look Left again and then look UP.
ReplyDelete....... a plane might just be coming down on you.
Anon, thanks for giving me this good laugh after all these sad happenings. You r a comedian o.
DeleteThe funny thing is we can do a bit of homework ourselves..once you get details of the Model..on the Web you can get info on dates the Planes were commissioned!!..
ReplyDeleteThe info does not neccessarily highlights the maintenance/service history, neither what current faults or probs the airline has...abi wetin?
DeleteThe so called director who is suggesting this is a thief and was sacked from Air Nigeria.
ReplyDeletePolice recover $75,000 stolen fund from Mr John I. Nnorom, exfinance director, Air Nigeria
http://nationalmirroronline.net/news/37630.html
Now we can see why Mr John Nnorom, writing this.
Shut Up! Who owns National Mirrow? Ans; Jimoh Ibrahim. Continue to support Evil. Which other newspaper published such news? They did that because he resigned and knows d secret of the company.
Deletemo da ran!!!Jimoh Ibrahim is full of shit!!God will purnish oh!to think they av given dem license to fly to london.ye pa!
ReplyDeletesuppose to fly Air Nigeria from London to Naija first week in August. I am most concerned now.
DeleteBetter forget about money and fly a safer airline is ur life means anything to u
DeleteI don't know why they even granted them that license in the 1st place. They know what is right, but they will never adhere to it,always cutting corners; all their own is to make money over peoples lives. Hmmmmm, london route for Air Naija,is that not massacre? Well, I wish people buying those tickets safe journey!
Delete@Duke Emeka even the walking is not safe before the shrapnel from the plane crash wld be landing on your head.
ReplyDeleteIf this allegations are true then you know what these business moguls are all about.
Sadly, they are the ones fighting the progress of Nigeria.
once again if these allegations are true and are revealed with the purest intentions God bless Mr. J. I. Nnorom
Ahhhh its true oh! An insider warned me on friday not to fly airnigeria...Jimoh is a bastard, all his business failed! I ve worked 4 him b4 and he takes d most meaningless risk am supposd air naigeria hasn't crashed since it started..he can instruct d pilot 2 fly witout fuel or wateva sef! His filling stations, dead no sales and he doesn't care, all his businesses rubbish..u pple shld not fly it oh,becareful
ReplyDeleteAir Nigeria, Arik air, Aero they are all same. No one is safe. My first time on arik I just prayed to God for the plane to land safely in Lag
ReplyDeleteRight now air Nigeria engineers are on strike for some of these reasons and more. Jimoh Ibrahim has threatened to fire them and has submitted their names to have them refused access to the airport and air Nigeria buildings. He will probably bully them and get away with it. Someone speaks up and a few say why now? Why not now? Dana has crashed, shall we wait till air Nigeria does? NCAA has a lot to answer for. Truth is our whole system is rotten with corruption. Jimoh has greased the right palms and will remain Untouchable. When people die his friend Goodluck will go there, condemn, weep and set up committee. BS!
ReplyDeleteWOWWWWWWWWWWW
ReplyDeleteInnocent blood don already dey cry out,all d witch dem don dey come out one by one to confess....adviser ni,adviser ko!
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH NIGERIA...SOMEONE HAS GIVEN YOU A STERN WARNING, SOME PEOPLE ARE COMMENTING THAT HE IS LYING AND PROBABLY HAS SOMETHING AGAINST JIMOH ......IF HE KEEPS QUIET AND DOESNT SAY ANYTHING TILL AFTER THE DEATH, YOU WOULD SAY MEDICINE AFTER DEATH....I REST MY CASE...YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
ReplyDeleteNsogbu dikwa,biko,which one is safe??
ReplyDeleteThe man has raised an issue of national concerns that dwells on satefy and corruption. I think the right thing for any right thinking government is to investigate the matter so that we don't experience such things again. It is the victims we are mourning today we don't know who is going to be next.
ReplyDeleteThis is unbelievable, how can someone turn human lives to a mere toy? Anyway I reserve my comments until thorough investigation take place,
ReplyDeleteFrm d moment jimoh ibrahm bought over Air Nigeria,, said to myself that if dat airline is d only one in naija, l won't fly in it. D man keeps aquiring bt can't run nor manage any of those companies. , worked in one of d organisatns he acquired and when l saw hs mgt style, l quit. He does nt heed to professionalsm at all, he runs hs coys as if hs running hs home.Govt shld check mr nnoroms info nd do thorough investigation so as to avoid wht happend to Dana air. A word is enough fr d wise
ReplyDeleteso which airline is safe for us to fly now?
ReplyDeleteWell....Air Nigeria is a Coffin..thus Jimoh Ibrahim doesn't fly it..Eni ba. Ni eti ko gbo...!!
ReplyDeleteI am wary of relying on any information culled from Sahara Reporters, given their poor track record in journalism and their sensationalism but I have always been suspicious of Jimoh Ibrahim- one of my relatives worked for NICON and the work environment became unbearable after he took over- she left the company not long afterwards.
ReplyDeleteAnon June 4, 2012 8:04 PM , oh really? so it makes sense for him to have kept shut and waited until an actual plane crash happened or what exactly is your point?
ReplyDeleteI still maintain it, this man is a devious attention seeking twat and he needs to be checked just as Air Nigeria needs to be checked too. What if it took two years from now for the crash to happen, he would have kept quite ekwa? Useless man!
For all I know,This whole stuff is political and Arik air is behind it,cos they re loosing customers, else hw can u xplain Dana air's predicaments and then d dissin of Air Nigeria , all within 48hrs.all 2 win passengers back 2 dem.Nxt u will hear about soon is Aero. Arik is tryin to bring its major competitors down.
ReplyDeleteIs the gentleman who has risked his life to make this timely revelation the owner of Arik air or how exactly is this revelation related to Arik? Pls educate me some more what the connection is? And by the way,it's ur choice to fly air nigeria whenever you like. Like my professor would say,I wish you all the best in ur future endeavours;including flying air nigeria.
DeleteTo all those criticizing him, just be happy he spoke up at all. Now at least it has been disclosed. His hands are probably not clean but for God's sake take the warning for what it is and focus on what should be done now that we know - not on how much he profited from it before. My God in even in the face of the Dana crisis we have found a way to not be productive. The problem with Nigeria is not the government. The problem with Nigeria is the Nigerians who inhabit Nigeria! smh
ReplyDeleteMy fellow Nigerians never cease to amaze me.Why should I care about ulterior motives when he has supplied facts and figures? And of course he spoke up before the crash but no one was listening until over 153 people were sarificed.
ReplyDeleteYou get brain as in this man suplied figures, infact financialfigures cuz he was head of finance. So all the figures can be said to be facts, he did not just release malicious statements. Figures dey der
DeleteGod!! Some people are so damn stupid!!! Someone is giving you a warning and you are saying he's lying. What if he decides to keep quiet???? Didn't you hear when he said he stands the risk of being assassinated if he talks? You don't think that's why it took him this long to say something??? Since he's lying, book your next flight with Air Nigeria biko!! Olodo!!
ReplyDeleteImmediately i saw the title of this post i knew i had to comment. I remember boarding an Air Nigeria flight which was delayed for 4hours before taking off to go to Abuja. The pilot began to apologise profusely and even started to sing to lighten the mood. And i thought 'well that's a good gesture'.Until he said and i remember clearly 'You know this is an ailing airline and we are still trying to find our feet'. I couldnt believe it. I prayed all the way to Abuja and that was the last time i boarded Air Nigeria. My advice to you is to do the same..
ReplyDeleteYes, I have to write on this article. Mr director is not writing because he is a novelist or a newspaper writer. There are many facts in what he wrote. First step is to arrest Mr Jimoh Ibrahim, secondly confiscate all his properties and jail him.
ReplyDeleteNigerian government should allow the British Airways to handle our aviation ministry both local and international. We should stop pretending that we know when we know nothing.
I have told many people in the world, Nigeria will only be good and secured once a full blood IGBO man gets there. It is only us that have the true spirit to change this country. We can still do it as our fathers did it back in the days of the colonial masters. The U.S, The British, The Europeans, and French knows that we are the only people that can change Nigeria. They have seen it all. You can no longer stay in the North, The west is becoming something else, and The East will continue to proceed for unification which I know one day it will happen.
Let’s call a spade, a spade. With all our resources and name, Nigeria as a country cannot boost of up to date air-crafts. Such a shame to all the senators and directors handling our aviation ministry, they are only interested in chop money and share the money.
My deepest condolence to all the families that lost their beloved ones in this tragedy and may their souls rest in perfect peace. I know that God will surely see them through at this sad time.
WHICH WAY NIGERIA???? ??????????????????
Nigerians are so very terrible fools that will never learn nor listen......ashamed that i am one myself! Imagine someone stating a fact yet some people still have doubts,I am sure if some people that took the crashed plane has been told it will crash they would have doubted and say God will save us!!!Wake up guys heaven help those who help themselves, even the white people that brought God to Africa do not stupidly use God when they can use logic!! . If you have worked or have been close to Jimoh Ibrahim then you will know this man is stating the fact. Our people are so blinded by all the glitters thats not gold that they become so gullible..oma seooo!!
ReplyDeleteI have worked with Global fleet and have been very close to Jimoh Ibrahim so i know he is a cold blooded human being who doesnt care about anyone but himself! Even his wife gets the rubbish treatment and he never cares about maintenance of anything not even his body..can go for days without brushing his teeth! Lots of debts and tax people always coming to the office then i remember. I was lucky to get out of there when i got a job with virgin Nigeria efterwards left VA to relocate abroad while all my friends were saying i made the wrong move which i am glad today that i did cos when Jimoh bought Virgin Nigeria and turned it to Air Nigeria i shouted thank you God i made the best decision! cos i knew it will never last and that it will turn out like global fleet. Nigeria can never be better..forget it.It is corrupted up to the root and one day oil will dry up then what next? If you have your way get out fast!!!! Life is too short to live it in hell!!
While John Nnorom might have some personal vendetta in his petition, this is really not about money. It"s about being warned. If you feel he's just picking a bone with Jimoh Ibrahim, may we not be reading your obituary soon. Jimoh Ibrahim not only owes his staff, he owes his contractors millions and still expects great service from them to run his so-called airlines. I know quite a number of his employees that have resigned in the past few months because the place is run like a ministry. They recommend something to management, the response is there's no money. Abeg ask Jimoh Ibrahim where all the money go?
ReplyDeletewe hv entered d era of priv8 jets, contact me fr ur g6 & challenger aircrafts,no more w8n in line..delayed flyts..et al,go borrow money frm bank come pk ya plane o..u fit park am fr house sef..God wl punish d wicked
ReplyDeleteD guy don yarn hin own ooo..y take chances or even waste ur time hating...this is Nigeria 2 begin wif..anything is possible..
ReplyDeleteNIGERIANS....NIGERIANS.....NIGERIANS........why is it that people are finding it hard to believe the truth from this man........did you people not hear that ''jimoh wants to assassinate him........
ReplyDeleteYOU that do not believe him.....pls keep flying in that air nigeria......until it happens....
God!!! I am tired of this country. An average Nigerian is a thief. Wen will nigeria be great? I dont think i am created for a country like this. I think i seriously need to relocate.
ReplyDelete@Fatimah and all others thinking this report is a blackmail, believe me, it is not.
ReplyDeleteSo many of my present colleagues resigned from Air Nigeria due to these same complaints. They all left as soon as Jimoh Ibrahim took over due to these same mismanagement issues Mr. Nnorom talked about.
Speak with any of your friends (and i mean honest and tough friends who aint scared of what Jimoh Ibrahim can do 2 dem) working with Air Nigeria and hear what they have to say. That's all i can say.
Good evening anty linda, I am very surprised that you published this article without mentionin that this Ex Director of finance was sacked from Air Nigeria for diverting or embezzling company's money to the tune of some thousands of dollars, This is cheap blackmail that will not work.
ReplyDeleteThis guy in question is a scam, hypocrite that deserves to be jailed for libel.
Shut ur filthy trap! R u jimoh's voltron. Common getout!
Deletewhether the man has personal beef or not with Jimoh Ibrahim or not is not our concern. The point is that he has raised an issue. For goodness sake, my brother boarded an Air Nigeria flight and the aircraft refused to start. So there's an element of truth in this story.
ReplyDeletewhether the man is blackmailling Jimoh Ibrahim or not, he has warned us. Whether he resigned in April n just talking in June, it is better late than never.
ReplyDeleteGod please have mercy
ReplyDeletethose behind it should be purnished let them and their families reap from what they have sowed
My fellow Nigerians, na wa for una ohh! Which one person go do for una wey go better? Nnorom talk, dem call am bad-belle, if Nnorom no talk & plane crash join body again in another 2months, una go say maybe na Nnorom follow kill dem! Wetin naa? Jimoh Ibrahim activities don reach to check ohh! That Man na kura, even for our State, in Ondo township, indigenes dey fear Jimoh die! He is a very very unnecessarily wicked Man! As fo Mre? I no fit shout again ohh!
ReplyDeleteIf you understand jimoh ibrahim business philosophy, you will know this is true. He acquires moribund company and try to revamp them. The truth is , this guy is in deep debt. Most of of this acquired company are in terrible state. He harass his staff at will, speak to them in very degrading manner.
ReplyDeleteTime will always reveal the truth.
Na wa ooooo I think we should go back to the oldest means of flying ie witchcraft cos no Nigerian airline is good enough. All the airlines in nigeria are f**ked none is safe. And for Jimoh God will punish satan for satan to punish u. RIP to the souls of DANA air crash
ReplyDeleteI am sure this Jimoh Ibrahim will be at Fifi Ejindu's Birthday Bash at Burh Al Arab. He will be the best dressed dude there. Wayray.
ReplyDeleteMr Nnorem's allegation needs to be investigated in respect of the airworthiness & maintenance culture not only in Dana but in all our Airline Carriers. Fortunately the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority is the regulatory agency saddled with this responsibility. The Nigerian government may now go a step further & invite International Aviation Advisers to review the efficiency & professionalism of NCAA after the submission of the report. These advisers should have terms of reference which will allow them to review previous aircrash reports & determine whether or not & if NCAA has implemented the recommendations suggested in previous accident reports since 1996. Issues appertaining to Mr Jimoh Ibrahim's other business being thrown into the mix are grossly unfair. I am not holding brief of Mr Ibrahim- I am sure he is more than capable on holding his own brief. A former employeee who didn't disengage from the services of his former employer on amiciable terms will always have his bona fides or good faith being called to question, when damaging allegations are made after such a disengagement. Adegoke Ademola
ReplyDeleteits not just air Nigeria thats risky, what about ChaChangi that just resurfaced, in december, my flight to lagos with air nigeria was cancelled and i was forced to use Chachangi bcos i was in a hurry, after boarding we realised that the door to the aircraft was bad, the pilot and some crew members were the ones who were using their hands to push the door inorder to close it just the way spoilt bus doors are closed. it was God who took us safely to Lagos. our regulatory authorities obviously are slacking and something drastic needs to be done asap.
ReplyDeleteThank you sir, i fly airNigeria often and is thesamda complain, bad water, delay, bad service..., tried Arik worst, Euro i no know. God save us, all our local flights are old and bad. Madam ncaa save us now so you can save those tears of your. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI use work with airniger all what dis dude said abt jimho and his company is true bt john too get ehi own for body small, oversabi na ehim kill am.
ReplyDeleteThis sound so much like a disgrunted employee.
ReplyDeleteAir Nigeria has just aquiried 5 planes to begin operation this May to uk and South Africa etc.
While all his claim should be verify by the appropriate authority, he should also be arrested to prove his claim.
Don't care if has beef with Jimoh or not!!..it explains why on my last flight to Abuja we had close to a 6 hour delay!!
ReplyDeleteI am forced to comment on this. My company flies Air Nigeria and I have witnessed these flight delays running into hours on so many occassions. One thing I remember now is that I flew into the country on 10th May from an official trip abroad and headed to our staff house to pass the night. Another staff coming from Port Harcourt arrived the same staff house by almost 1am as I came out of my room to take some drinking water and told me they just landed with Air Nigeria. I asked why they had to fly that late which I considered unsafe given our naija levels and he said it was supposed to be an evening flight but was delayed until wee hours of the night. We joked that they were lucky that power didnt go off at the airport. I went down to PH the next day and met a friend who works for another company who told me that some of his colleagues who were supposed to fly to PH the previous day could not make it because the Air Nigeria plane they were supposed to use was undergoing repairs for a long time that they opted to go home on their own to fly the next day. I reasoned that it was this faulty aircraft that later made it to PH late night of 10th May to pick the desperate Lagos passengers in PH who have been waiting for hours. Please let the authorities investigate these allegations and I hope that the decision makers in my company are also reading this.
ReplyDeleteIf he's lying how come their Engineers are on strike with Jimoh doing the usual bullying and harassing!!
ReplyDeleteFor what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
ReplyDeleteJimoh is a bastard.
ReplyDeleteD man is right.I'm based in abuja ,I fly air nigeria nd I dnt ve anytin against dem,bt deres dis lady I met today dat works n nicon luxury she made mentn of d way jimoh is nonchalant abt d management of d hotel nd d airline.she said she is a staff bt if givn a free ticket to fly n airnigeria she wnt...I dnt knw much abt d oda airlines oooo.nd if wht I'm sayin is nt d truth may it not b well with me..a word is enough for d wise..I lov my country despite all dis chaos happening
ReplyDeleteI believe what he said is true...I was meant to fly Air Nigeria this morning but that flight got cancelled inexplicably. Something is up...I believe that Arik is next....but I could be wrong...
ReplyDeleteOnly someone who has never had business dealings with Jimoh Ibrahim will doubt these allegations. But nobody will investigate him cos he does the dirty jobs for all the top people in govt, especially and including Jona!
ReplyDeletethe man has supplied facts and figures yet you are busy talking about beef?
ReplyDeletesome of us are delusional. the painful part is that nothing will come out of this case.Jimoh Ibrahim is of the protected specie.Nothing will happen.
Please anybody that wants to open yansh or blackmail or do feferity can do so even though it is bad belle.
ReplyDeleteIf it takes the Dana Air plane crash for all this to start coming out then it's ok. If we start experiencing safer skies in Nigeria as a result of bad belle then it is still OK.
it could have been anybody on that plane!!!
Who remembers eagle line? Same Ibrahim jimoh owned it. It was never well maintained the fact that he bought this airline made me never fly it. I believeevery word this man said only a fool/stupid person won't take caution at least.

ReplyDeleteNigeria will never be good, at least not in our lifetime; maybe in our young children's lifetime; say in 60 yrs time. Sosoliso Airline crashd and killed innocent children; the government threatened to overhaul the entire Aviation Industry. Obasanjo wept then too, just like GEJ did yestrday. What happened after the SOSOLISO air crash? Nothing! Money excahangd hands and it was business as usual. Overaged and ill fated planes are bought and flown into the country by airline operators! It is all in the same circle! After this crash, no lesssons will be learned, like in everything else synonymous with this country Nigeria. Corruption is the bane of this country where those at the top are insensitive to the plights and well-being of the citizens. I rest my case and sit back and watch in amusement as events unfold in this pitiable saga. I have a feeling of De ja Vu.
ReplyDeleteAll of u dt have ears u had beta listen well rather dan abusing the man, wateve dt must have happened btw him and Jimoh ibrahim in d past is deir business. bt sincerely air nigeia is a flying coffin, ican neva board d plane. i have read a lot of issues about d airline and its advisable nt to board d ailine except u r ready to die. May God protect us all. Lets becareful, prayeful and watchful always.
ReplyDeleteNigerians are a funny set of people and thats why where are where we are. The serious allegations leveled against Air Nigeria is worth checking up to avoid unnecessary death of our own people and all some people can write about is the beef with Jimoh Ibrahim. If you dont believe the write up is true, please fly Air Nigeria.#word
ReplyDeleteFor all in doubt, answer this question. WHY HAS AIR NIGERIA NOT BEEN FLYING SINCE JUNE 1?
ReplyDeleteMr Nnorom resigned his position. not sacked. He also spoke out then, un-noticed. I came across it on-line.
If i may add, when Nnorom occupied that position, he was as 'BAD' as J.I.
@Anon June 4, 2012 8:52 PM: you are clearly an idiot.
ReplyDelete@Anon June 4, 2012 10:13 PM: DO. NOT. DO. IT. Don't fly Air Nigeria from anywhere to anywhere let alone internationally. It is a death trap. I was a frequent Abuja to Lagos traveler and Air Nigeria has nothing to offer anybody except unbearably long delays, no apologies, a bunch of rude staff and from what we hear, 99.9% unreliable planes. Tha Blood!
A word is enough for the wise most airlines in nigeria dnt meet up to safety standards, mind you, there are emergency situations we never hear of because the aircraft landed safely.........I have personally had an experience with air nigeria were the flight lost cabin pressure and after the emergency landing, overhead from ground staff @ the departure lounge that the plane in question was due for servicing but they consistently ignored the memos sent.... so this could in fact be true and not just for air nigeria.
ReplyDeleteOk, as informative as this piece is, I decided to take on the path that onli very few people will take. Mr former ED, u were in that system for long and u dint speak? abeg, cut the crap jooorr. i smell revenge and blackmail, that is not to say that Uncle Jimoh is clean too o...
ReplyDeletebefore you all castrate this dude for speakin out mayb yall woulda been happy if a loved one went down with air nigeria, its only in nigeria that sumbody lays his life down for u and sum pple say they smell blackmail, una get sharp nose oh,if yall follown J.I you wuld know its not impossible, first nation is now bellview have you asked yourselves if their planes where not rebranded bellview plains, our lives are in danger you all need glasses to see abi.......mowunmi
ReplyDeletewhether his story came out late or not; whether he's looking for cheap popularity or not; i personally feel we have begun a freedom fight......freedom from corruption; freedom from greed nd selfishness! we might be far away the end; but i'll rather choose 2 celebrate those that are ready to stake their lives to fight this battle 'THE CORRUPTION BATTLE'
ReplyDeleteJimoh Ibrahim can do more than that. Nigerians, dont be deceived. keep off Air Nigeria. is it not the guy who destroyed many families through his fraudulent acquisition of NICON.He is a wild fire that leaves in its wake mountains of ruins. I will rather drive than board Air Nigeria.BE WISE.
ReplyDeleteIs this Guy(Mr.Nnorom) a joke or what?, he has been in the organisation for God knows how long for and now he is trying to be Mr. squeeky clean. Him & Jimoh Ibrahim are surely guilty of corporate robbery and inefficiency. Well, wetin go happen now?-EFCC, DFCC or wat is that new International antifraud squad. God help us with all this people who think their money/wealth is worth better than the lives of others.
ReplyDeleteNa wa oh....wch aircraft come safe now??abeg shey I hear say Living Faith church wan start airline too?may dem start sharp sharp oh....at least thier aircrafts will still be new and well serviced 4 d next 1 yr or so....i culd patronize dem 4 dat period and probably move 2 d next new one..lolzz...but seriously, only God can help us oh.
ReplyDeleteGet your facts right. Air Nigeria has not acquired 5 planes. They have leased 1 plane from Egypt air which they now fly to London operated by egypt air staff daily. Deplorable service, Jimoh owes caterers and has been serving rubbish on those flights. On one occasion passengers demanded to see him as he was seated in first class. Jimoh has no clue how to run an airline and yet insists on approving every expense and running it like a home. Shame!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a disgruntled ex-employee to me
ReplyDeleteJust spoke to a friend who works in Air Nigeria as a cabin crew. He confirmed that the Maintenance crew for the airline and pilots are currently on strike. I see evidence of truth in this story. People a word is enough for the wise . Stay clear of this airline until its safety is ascertained
ReplyDeleteNigerians wake up.... Not only do we need to pray (as the most religious country in the world), we need to start FIGHTING for our lives. Do something today by educating/organizing the masses around you on how to challenge our government, institutions and business outfits (airlines…etc) to make positive societal impacts and when necessary carry out peaceful protests to call them to order. We cannot afford to be nonchalant about Nigeria’s affairs any longer or we all will continue to pay dearly for it. A cursory look at the plane crash victim names reveal that all parts of Nigeria are well represented and even the world. Disaster does not discriminate and all of us will continue to pay a huge price if we do nothing. Report (through the press, media blogs, regulating institutions, etc) every sharp business practices and corner cutting measures in any business organization aimed at profiteering which can lead to major disasters. It is DANA Airways today, tomorrow it may be …….. We should all be whistle blowers and act promptly to avert future disasters. John Nnorom, former executine director with Air Nigeria has alerted the Nigeria public on the short cut practices in Air Nigeria and I believe the regulating bodies would act on that immediately and clear the Airliner or get them adhere to the standard operating practices in the air industry.
ReplyDeleteGood evening fellow Nigerians! I flew ARIK AIR back to Nigeria on the 16th of January 2012, it was the worse flight I've been on. We almost crashed.. Those that were standing at the time all fell to the floor of the plane and some of us had food and drinks spill all over us..
ReplyDeleteTha captains claimed they didn't see that wind coming cuz they were expecting the one near NIGER REPUBLIC.. I heard all sorts of prayers. That would have been terrible. I think they lost total control of the plane.
May God Protect us all.
why b say all dis senators no dey for dana plane wan crash
ReplyDeleteNigerians, ah....once they hear a story people keep running their mouths without investigating whatever anybody says. Lets all be honest no Nigerian airline is safe, its only God that's keeping us. For every time i traveled on Arik, the plane always almost crash landed that the last time i vowed never to fly them again. I used to prefer Dana bcos they always kept to time, now i don't know which airline is safe anymore. As for Mr. John Nnorom, it sounds like he is trying to settle a score and i don't care 1 bit about wat he says. My friend who is a pilot with South African Airways said the reason why the Engrs. for Air Nigeria are on Strike is bcos Jimoh Ibrahim takes almost 300k as tax from their salary (which obviously goes into his pocket) and they are feeling exploited, not bcos of the servicing condition of their planes as i have seen somany people comment here. Let's always try to get our facts right and not be one of the rumour mongers.
ReplyDeleteOH O O O!!How I wish we have a "Government" in Nigeria. Otherwise These serious allegations would have been investigated with a lightning speed and almighty JIMOH IBRAHIM from whose hands many of our politicians have motgaged their conscienses, BE BROUGHT TO BOOK.If these allegations are false prosecute NNOROM.Govt will not respond to these allegations when serious issues like expulging BOKO HARRAM from our mist is a problem but could easily harras poor students by rebranding thier institution's nard earned name for cheap political point.
ReplyDeleteADE JIMOH
