Anyway, after five hours in standstill traffic, I decided I couldn't continue, I was tired and hungry so I branched off to have something to eat, rest my feet, and wait for traffic to abate. Got home past 9pm, too tired to blog. What a wasted day! *Sigh* Catch y'all tomorrow.

Nigeria's First Lady brings Lagos to standstill
Anyway, after five hours in standstill traffic, I decided I couldn't continue, I was tired and hungry so I branched off to have something to eat, rest my feet, and wait for traffic to abate. Got home past 9pm, too tired to blog. What a wasted day! *Sigh* Catch y'all tomorrow.

ReplyDeletePele Linda... if to say she sabi speak english we for say make she come defend herself... but we all know her story... :p
ReplyDeleteThe prime minister of UK (David Cameron) came to livepool street and i drove past him looking at him in his car. It took me just 3mins to get past where he was and there was no traffic. What if his husband comes to lagos they will declare public holiday or what? The image they portray at home affects we Nigerians abroad as well. Rubbishh....
ReplyDeleteSad...absolutely sad...no other word .to use.
ReplyDeleteAwww sorry, even Tuface tweeted it wasn't traffic but car park. Go and rest.
ReplyDeleteVery soon it will be over for them, their 4 years is almost done so what next after then.
ReplyDeleteSorry Linda, but that's what you get when you vote an ex-fisherman without shoes into power. They take all opportunities to showcase their "bushness" + "stupidity" at any instance. This is the same patience that couldn't even complete a smile when Turaki was in charge. Now she runs escorts and blocks districts just to attend a marriage or pick up an insignificant award! Naija is sick, we need to keep telling these lucky imbeciles in power the honest truth about how their stupid actions are ruining the future of our nation
ReplyDeletePele, i feel u. Even in front of my office Opposite City Hall was totally blocked, it wasn't funny at all, i did not make a move till 7pm. its too bad what our so called leaders can do to us.
ReplyDeletelol linda park well! if u wea first lady,u go do same...
ReplyDeleteSorry my dear linda!no mind dem,dey like to show dier self unnessary!sleep tit love
ReplyDeletei was affected as well, i think it was for this event- the launching of codedruns.com
ReplyDeletehttp://www.codedruns.com/Services/JESI/492
I'm sure she can't even spell traffic!I was a victim as well,I left oniru estate at 11am,headed 2 unilag, but the trip dat takes like 45mins turned out 2 be 6 freaking hours, cos I got 2 skool at exactly 6:25pm,dis is inhuman & unfair!
ReplyDeleteThe Mother of all Nations, Iyaluwa1 of Tabon Land,Mama Rere bi iyan, asoro ma ronu 1 of AsoRock Villa, O tabon deru ba omo 1 of Africa.
ReplyDeleteMadam Patience just take stlye show for Lasgidi and una dey Vex? What is she wan come base here nko?
Make all of una take time o.....LOL
Linda, so sorry about that but what do you expect from an idle first lady coming to lagos for an idle function leaving Mr president in Abuja to be recieving idle visitors 24/7,if not for anything they don't struggle like Nigerians to eat,pay bills and survive generally! Why won't she render them idle like a first lady indeed!!
ReplyDeleteHahaha... As jeff randall described Nigeria today on quest business... Welcome to d wild wild west (Africa)
ReplyDeleteLinda,do you actually think she is to blame?...You think she purposely asked for the roads to be blocked?....And you sound pretty weird and unnice...U might be pissed but please mind your words and apply wisdom while U're blogging....
ReplyDeleteI told my friends one day that this woman run Nigerian and not Jonathan, there were like: Are you kidding, how can?
ReplyDeleteThis woman started campagn long before Jonathan declared to run!
This woman moves money from the national treasury without quam.
Jonathan once said that their wives run things, that he has to consult his wife before taking national decisions.
We heard she moved some millions of dollars from Nigeria few weeks after her husband was sworn in.
Estacodes that travel with this woman are more than that of her husband (Mr. President) quote me.
So, why wouldn't her block all the roads, have it blocked until she goes and come back?
Oops! When she came around in Abia sometime ago, even roads she was not meant to use were blocked. In fact, they have taken it to the next level. The governor's daughter had her trad wedding on 30th December. Guess what, it was as bad as when Patience came. This issue needs to be brought to the fore. It smacks of arrogance, insensitivity, selfishness, dictatorship, wickedness, it's not just fair!
ReplyDeleteDats really selfish of madam 1st lady. 4 petes sake u dnt do such in a populated place as lag, really wat was she thinkn. Nd pple wld hve had pressn nd emergency cases 2 attend 2.seriously dats nt motherly of her! She wld hve bloody used a chopper or smthn.issy
ReplyDelete!
I feel your pain linda. When they move on the road with their sirens and cars, we have to run out of the road and park to let them pass. We are just slaves in our country to those we elected into office. It is well.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder it was quiet on Linda ikeji blogspot, heard about our first lady and traffic, respected myself and stayed back in me office. She doesn't care
ReplyDeleteShe has no children of her own hence the total lack of maternal-instinct and wanton display of gluttony. Was that also why nepa performed miracle with light by actually providing electricity the last 2 days?Anyway just like she-president,light has gone...again;*smh*wonder how many months it'll be gone this time?Wasted generation of a wasting nation!
ReplyDeleteWe need more people to speak out against this sort of manner, being the presidents wife does not help any CV. This is also a reflection of a very poorly educated nation, c'mon the mayor of London , virus Johnson rides in the underground attimes to work and he is still a millionaire, the Taoiseach of Ireland rides in the front seat with his driver. We don't even know their wives!!!
ReplyDeleteGod punish that foolish woman. As crowded as Lagos is, i can only imagine the chaos and the nightmare. Selfish asswipe with her Umblerra. Im vexed and im not even there
ReplyDeleteTHIs doesnt happen in d US,obam carries his bags by himself na wa o
ReplyDeleteLinda, haba nah! We all know that she blocked those roads for OUR safety! Imagine what kind of collateral damage would have occurred had innocent passers-by being allowed near where she was giving a speech! The fall-out from the bombs and bullets would have created a mini-national disaster! We should all be eternally grateful that she shut down those roads; it's for our own protection! This is a small price to pay for having a local Delta market woman as first lady!!!
ReplyDeleteLlol @ 2 tired 2 blog, hence m readin dis.
ReplyDeletePele Linda..you sure are vexed. I heard she came to british Intl schl wit her child..is dat true?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, that is the disaster we have to live with in this country where the concerns of the common man is not put into consideration. For Gods sake, this people are meant to serve us but this is what we get. As long as we allow charlatans to rule us, I am sorry we will continue to get this. I understand how u feel. I was on my way to the island but someone told me to respect myself and turn back if I truly love myself. Thank God I listened. I wonder when all this bull s**t will stop. People have to speak up regarding this and in fact we deserve an apology and an undertaking that this will not happen again. Linda, I like the fact that you have written 'point-blank' about it. I understand your pain because I have been caught in this kind of situation before when she was launching her useless women initiative nonsense in Abuja. She came to launch her women for peace initiative in lagos today and consequently brought hardship to people. Stupid people who do not even understand what peace means. God please deliver us o from those who 'feel' they are too strong for us.
ReplyDeleteONOME says................
ReplyDeleteLindooo dey vex o!lolllllllllllllll
Ndo.no vex again,u hear me?!!I go give am konk for u.lollllll
This is simply ludacris, it would never happen on civilised nations round the world, but welcome to the African Jungle... Where the heads of our kingdom are GOATS rather than LIONS! (I refer to no one)
ReplyDeleteyou have just explained the way i felt today.
ReplyDeleteI spent almost 4 hours from Lekki phase 1 using GET arena area to get to Osborne. It was a frustrating time especially with the heat out there. Almost impossible to rain curses on the first lady for making us undergo such hardship because she is in town.
Patience waste just testing ur patience
ReplyDeleteMother of all nations indeed... but Linda.. who you dey tell all this ones and bull stories.. It is because you have no viable competitor... If say you get, you for done employ people wey go dey post for you. I don come your page 5 times today and still same old post. No be so them dey do am. One man/woman cannot move a mountain. you suppose don understand the caliber of your blog, so it is appropriate to employ auxiliary bloggers and stuff like that. This is not an excuse. Mba nu Linda!
ReplyDeleteAs my kids always say, and american general terms anyway, thats what you get. When vote illiterates into power, that is what you get. 5 hours of your life were wasted with no apologies. The painful part of it was that she came to Lagos just to speak her stupid english again. I dont know why this lady is not shameful.
ReplyDeletePatience was just testing your patience
ReplyDeleteSeriously ehn..it was not funny at all.I was going to onikan and I came out of my house on adetokunbo ademola and d traffic was crazy..as in standstill.I couldn't blive wot I was seeing.left ma house at 10.30pm and got to onikan at 12pm..Itz only in naija rubbish like dz happens.VI is a major business area so hw can u be so dumb and order the closure of major streets..totally unacceptable...bloody illiterate woman
ReplyDeletena wa o
ReplyDeleteLawless nation
ReplyDeleteWHY WOULD SHE BE CONSIDERATE ABOUT THE TRAFFIC AND OTHER PEOPLES PROGRAMME WHEN NIGERIA IS THE ONLY COUNTRY WHERE ILLITERATES AND NONENTITIES CAN BE PRESIDENTS AND GOVERNORS.
ReplyDeleteMany times I wonder if dis ppl get more dan one life bcuz dis is absolute nonsense,
ReplyDeleteLol..pele.. Goodnight Linda
ReplyDeleteLinda, linda, linda, bikonu ehn wia ur ear. Like u said madam dame na im get power for now. Such can't and won't happen in other countries atleast they'd provide alternative routes for d populace. But na naija we dey now and that's the way d power brokers roll. Sowwie u had to spend that much time in traffic could have been worse. Things need to change though. I remain anonymous
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...sowie linda,bt u stil av to try and blog on d go...some of us check ur blogspot like 5 times in a day (out of boredom sha)...*hehehe
ReplyDeleteHello Linda..thats so awful to hear..But there is a way round that. You can blog from your phone. Don't take it the wrong way but I think you should upgrade to that level so that whereever you are you can update with your phone by just sending an email to the 'blog' from your phone. The technology is there, I do it with my blog.
ReplyDeleteIf you have considered it...then ignore me lol. But please I'm waiting for your upgrade on your blog abeg. I wish I could say I will work for you to help but I am far far away.....
I'm not Suprised! It's naija now... Where the rich and powerful don't give a damn what the hell happens to other citizens. Na dem get the whole country. Nonsense!
ReplyDeleteLinda don vex ••̸№ b small,,,bt its nt funny rilli

ReplyDeleteIt's not her fault. She doesn't want to get killed by boko haram. Una free her o. lol! Mtcheww!
ReplyDeleteSorry Linda. I can imagine!!
ReplyDelete"Where does that happen?" In Naija of course. Ɣ☺ΰr country. Sori, our country. Nne dibe. O naghi adigide. -justme
ReplyDeletePele Linda.
ReplyDeleteThe truth is if I slap this bitch, she'll start speaking English,I sent my PA to do me stuff since 11am he didn't return until 9pm and he did just 1 thing.only in Africa as a whole and Nigeria in Particular that shit like this will happen, bitch shoot yourself.Nonsense woman if I catch her eh
ReplyDeletelinda God bless u 4 dis post.
ReplyDeletePele dear
ReplyDeletelinda mind ur business! u would have done worse if u had d ball on ur court
ReplyDeleteToday's traffic was the most irritating ever! I almost peed on myself...shame on Patience Jonathan! Queen bitch!
ReplyDeleteShe is extremely crazy.
ReplyDeleteWalked from Muri Okunola to Terra Kulture to meet up an appointment
Umber..relll..ellla.. All that Effizy still won't make her more educated, prettier or fit than i am!! EVER!! Very bush and illiterate woman. Always looking like a tomato seller with her pot belly. Akpa Njor of a woman!
ReplyDeleteVery very long mtschewwww to her for being inconsiderate, inhuman and insensitive to my Naija peeps.
Kpele my dearest Linda..pls rest your head and whole body..see you 'morrow. xx
This is what all these government officials like doing. Blocking all the roads because someone is passing. In delta state during uduaghans daughters wedding. Airport road from total to shell gate was blocked. Airport road is the greatest road in warri and he blocked it. For school student to get to school the had to trek all the way and the wedding was for days. Some students had their bags searched and others were harassed because they looked suspicious. Imagine
ReplyDeleteIt's really sad that in 2012 this type of backward behavior is still happening, not just in Nigeria but on the entire African continent. Why don't we hear that major road in USA were closed because of Michelle Obama??? Instead of them to follow first world countries better ways, they decided to go the opposite way, dragging an entire nation into failure. I'm just tired, life is too short to get mad at Nigerian politicians!
ReplyDeleteIwas caught up in the same mess.. it was horrible. The typical nigerian thing. this woman is not an elected officer in the first place, why all the wahala
ReplyDeleteThis happens all the time in Cameroon, can u imagine that te first ladies mother, i mean her mother was in Douala, the economic capital and was lodging at the meridien, which is at the entrance to the sea port. The main road to te douala international seaport was blocked for about 6 hours for her to check in, do what she came to do and leave, beat that!
ReplyDeleteNigeria has no atom of human rights. High in if the president is passing u wouldn't if know .
ReplyDeleteEeeeeyah pele Linda... At first Iwas scared o I thought she had scattered the entire Lagos Island with her Grammar.....Pele again o can only imagine what u went through and I was busy here reloading my page....
ReplyDeleteNa the Broken grammar wen she speak for wherever she go BLOCK road..hehehehehe.. Kai,worst first lady EVER! Instead of her to siddon for Aso rock wit her fat yansh...mba! She would rather go and waste taxpayers money and fly all the way to Lagos to release grammatical bombs and bullets. SMH for her.Infact i pity her.Shior!
ReplyDeleteimagine when the president is to travel? The man is so scared that no exact visit date is given when he is traveling. It is just announced that he will be in town between so and so date, so the police will block the roads for that duration doing all these unecessary checks, which is usually about a week, for him to finally come in by helicopter, coz most cities don't have airports
ReplyDeleteSMDHHH is that why we appointed your husband as president....what rubbish...there could have been people in that traffic trying to get to the hospital or other important locations....cant wait for the day Nigeria would grow
ReplyDeleteWhat was Dame scared of sef? boko haram threat? make she no fear na! All she has to do in case of any percieved threat is speak like 2 sentences and they will be literally blown away!! Real talk!!
ReplyDeleteHow dare you complain...
ReplyDeleteYou should be grateful she even visited your wretched state. Afterall the traffic jam only cost the nation a few measly billion naira...
Please repent and seek forgiveness
What example is our Country setting for the younger generations??? I remember a couple of years ago, was waiting by the traffic ligths at barbican, london, when the Queen and prince philip's official states limo stopped right next to me.they sure did not close the whole of london dwn & i remember seeing the former london mayor, waiting at the bus stop to catch a bus to parliament, and even the british prime minister riding on a bike to come and buy groceries.arghhh. i dont live in naija but it makes me sad to read this kind of stories.God will give us pace setters.Sleep tight linda
ReplyDeleteAwwww! So sori hunnie. Wish i wz der 2 giv u̶̲̥̅̊ a massage #winks. May God help dame patience o
ReplyDeleteMy gud Lord! What is 9ja becomeing? I don't even no what to say! Am so disapponited in that stupid thing called BADLUCK cos there is nothing gud about him! The lord dt helped Nigerians put Abasha to silence will do it again. AMen.
ReplyDeleteLinda, your frustration is our frustration. I hope U wake up in the morning strong and refreshed.
ReplyDeleteMadam might be teaching her children in Lagos how to be patient.
Our mentality back home is embedded and no amount of Western experience will alter it. Alternate route should have been drawn out for people to go about thier normal businesses - this is how it is down here in States. Niaja problem is, ego. It has eaten up our senses of duty and responsibility.
Linda, I noticed that must of your fans are afraid to express themselves once it comes to issues concerning the Govt. " All that is necessary for evil to conquer the world is for good people to stand aloof and do nothing." ...NYC-1
My gud Lord! What is 9ja becomeing? I don't even no what to say! Am so disapponited in that stupid thing called BADLUCK cos there is nothing gud about him! The lord dt helped Nigerians put Abasha to silence will do it again. AMen.
ReplyDeleteAwww poor you hun but I dont think its her fault personally - even in America they block the roads if Michelle Obama is passing a certain route - and obviously with the exta BOKO HARAM wahala they have to take precautions and the transport links especially roads are AWFUL in Nigeria anyway so it wouldn't take alot to cause traffic standstill...either way i feel for you - i'd be mad too lol
ReplyDeleteWat a shame, it can only happen in Nigeria.....bcos if samathan Cameron try dis in London that might be the last day of David Cameron in office, like seriously wat planet are dis ppl frm? Shuting down a city bcos of some jackass lady. Twitter was jam pack wit anger today, ppl re so angry and to be honest I give up on dat country. Linda pele ve bn checking since morin, I even thot maybe u bn kidnap as u re now big girl rolling wit island babes..LoL. Maybe u shld move London the queens land.. XXX
ReplyDeleteaawww. Linda darling, kpele. Get some rest ok. I can just imagine how frustrated u must have felt. As for Mrs Jona, what can I say.... That's the country we live in. Valerie.
ReplyDeleteToday is my birthday......unfortunately, I chose the wrong day to go to the island, had an appointment @ LEKKI for 11am, was done before 1pm. My ordeal started from 1st roundabout to the toll took me 1.30hrs, only to find out, That was just a rehearsal compared to what I faced driving down to the mainland. I spent 5hrs for a journey that could have taken me less than an hour on a normal day.... I was hungry and dead tired, couldn't meet up with fiends and family that hosted a surprise birthday party for me, thanks to madam PGJ for ruining my day....God will judge you! Even David Cameron didn't cause so much havoc when he came. I blame the people that "pleasssss" their hands to vote for you.
ReplyDeleteWTF......like seriously???? why would u decide to disrupt other people's lives for ur own selfish interest??? oh puh-lee-aze.... can't our Nigerian
ReplyDeleteleaders and politicians take a cue from the western world??? where the president is as humble as he can ever be.... nah wah ooo. e go dey alright.. u guys shld just remember that u'll be leaving that position of authority someday.
Thanks for your patience because of patience. I learnt she came for English lesson, hope she did not forget her Brighter Grammar?
ReplyDeleteIt is so sad. This was what always happened in Abuja now she has carried it to lag. May God help you folks in Nigeria.
ReplyDeletethis is wat we suffer in abuja all the time. isnt this some king of human right violation?
ReplyDeleteNa were dey wori am now, oniranu pelebe osi.
ReplyDeleteKpele jare Lindo!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's what happens when our leaders don't think or think with other body parts n not the head.
If she had entered Lagos discretly and done her business with no one knowing she was there, would it have killed her?? But no!! Our people must show off all they have in the name of power. What she did wld have given BH a good opportunity 2 get her sef. Our leaders need to start thinking o!!
Cordoning off all the roads in a city will not protect u o!!! Whoever wants to strike will do so no matter the barricades.
As for the Dame, well done ma!!! Shei u have acheived what u wanted. Clap for yourself!!!!
Nuff Said!!!
It's good they didn't allow you people pass. She would have caused deafness with her deadly thunderous GBAGAUNS had her voice been heard!
ReplyDeleteKeeping people in traffic! Mtscheww! The painful thing is that her only work is to destroy and disintegrate the English language shamelessly. Oshi!
ReplyDeleteIlliteracy at it's best. I don't blame her, it's the country that I blame.
ReplyDeletemuero_ebony says
ReplyDeleteArrant nonsense, you can't make yourself happy by bringing mysery to other people,we've got patience and gdluck in dis country yet evrytin sucks...smh
Awwww sorry booboo
ReplyDeleteEya Linda sorry! I thought something may have been up after checking your blogspot 6 times since 12 this afternoon and finding no new gossip! Am I addicted or what!!! But yes I agree it was totally selfish of the first lady- very uncalled for. We look forward to your entries tomorrow. Missed you girl! xx
ReplyDeleteLinda haff vex yo! Painment.. Ntoor
ReplyDeleteBuh dah stunt stupid sha
Na wah oooo........ Madam wt ha half bakd english gt mind oooooo...... Mek she go try am 4north na!!!... Yeye de smell.. Linda sowie dear..
ReplyDeleteOf course, Our "honourable" first lady who can't construct a simple sentence for the life of her can stop traffic. Nonsense!
ReplyDeleteIt is only in Naija that that rubbish can happen. Instead of them to use the money to build a better nation, they are wasting it on convoys, I presume. I will prefer it if the money was spent on her getting an English teacher instead of her disgracing us up and down. Oshi ni ile pako...
Hmmmm..... I can imagine r pains... Al 4madam... Dt one wey dem do na 4security purpose abi??... Mtchewwwww.... Who won hurt dt kind person sef???... Linda cum 2calabar n hv peace abeg...
ReplyDeleteIts terrible! Really! #Much Love Linda, ur d bomb# :) can't wait for more gist tomorrow ;)
ReplyDelete5 hours in traffic is ridiculous. The traffic issue needs to be resolved in Lagos in order for people to be able to conduct business.
ReplyDeleteI sat in traffic on Ajose adeogun for over 3 hours! Why?! Because this illiterate good for nothing waste of space decided to flex her flabby muscles for Lagosians to 'feel' I hope a member of her entourage reads this,Madam you & your equally good for nothing husband are NOT welcome in Lagos, enjoy the undeserved benefits of being the President's wife while this facade of a presidency continues, come 2015 YOU & YOUR HUSBAND ARE OUT!
ReplyDeleteLagosians, Nigerians please please remember today in 2015! let these brainless never do wellers carry the loot they have stolen (& put us in debt in the process might I
add) & GO STRAIGHT to HELL FIRE, tueh I spit on you Madam & your future generations!
PDP out!!!!!
Pele Love *hugs*
ReplyDeletethat's annoying though!!!
Pathetic Patience Jonathan
-roxie
"the mother of all nations, the woman who puts food on our table" - sarcastic Linda said so. lol. This politicians don't just seem 2 get it.
ReplyDeleteDon't be surprised if this sort of stunt is pulled off on a busy monday morning.
No be small d mother of all nations, very annoying.she as she resemble mumu for dat picture sef.hiss.selfish thing
ReplyDeleteDis confirms my suspicions dat u dont blog on d move and im sure u hv a driver. Make u restrategize o, naija factor no respect anybodies source of income
ReplyDeleteLinda you better don't let them catch you ohh! ;) just rest and relax. Hugss xoxo
ReplyDeleteoh! ndo o! ngwanu, go n rest, echi anya kpa.
ReplyDeleteWife of public servant indeed. Been watching past first ladies and nursed ambition of surpassing their excesses if she ever gets to that position. It has happened and she must definitely defecate all over the country before time runs out thus surpassing all her predecessors. Husband is busy trying to fix this kind of excesses, forgot to start at home. Woman, obey your man if you truly want him to succeed.
ReplyDeleteLOL, Linda sorry ohh.
ReplyDeleteYou sound so upset :)
Pls tell me what benefit will her disruption of Lagos (which made many businesses unable to function) do for 150 million suffering Nigerians? Will it improve Nepa? Or will her visit create better equiped hospitals for the masses, or schools for the youth? Jobs nko? I'm just wondering. After all Michelle Obama visited 2 states in America yesterday& from what I googled online did not distrupt the daily activities of citizens of either state. With all the money these people steal you wld think they wld find out how first ladies in more developed countries move around & simply copy it but no they wld rather carry an entourage of 47 to such countries msheww ! A won oju o ri ola ri jati jati,a won eyan rada rada oshi . Patience we know u & bad luck can't do any good for us but if I were u I wld take this opportunity to learn to speak properly @ the taxpayers expense of course..after all u won't be in power forever u know bwaaahahaha
ReplyDeleteShe for come down & greet her country people now,if they no go stone am ehn?! Chei
ReplyDeleteNaija never ceases to amaze at the type of crap that people get away with. I understand the need for security & all but if madam patience isn't enroute why block out an entire area for 5HRS and freaking disrupt ppls plans?!
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised this is a woman who sends the presidential jet from Abuja to Lagos so her pychophants can buy her Ghana high,Confirmed!!
ReplyDeleteSorry babe, *big hug*
ReplyDeleteSo funny to read but understand the situation my sister. She for kuku say make them make today public holiday for her.
ReplyDeletei was in the fucking traffic myself for 6 hours all aointment cancelled, the woman is really power drunk and i cannot believe we bought the no sandals to go to school crap that the husband sold us. Another 3 years of these people at aso rock will be a disaster for nigerians. She globe trots sends our money the way she likes, the nations planes takes here everywhere she goes and the people go hungry. When people who never expect to be in position gets to the top they become greedy. It is obvious the husband cannot control this woman.Which way nigerians? We have had first ladies but this one is something else.
ReplyDeleteIt really troubles me whenever issues like this occur during this democratic era of our government, i witnessed the military regime and no Head of states or any military governor created a scenario of this nature, now talk about the wife of a democratic elected president making this 'awful' incident. this is just an autocratic rule of government, dictators whose uniform is the native attire, i.e ankara, kaftan and all sorts, i see no difference between the uniforms they wear today and the military uniform, the only difference is the uniform they put on today helps them to camouflage and hide our money and their 'juju in the big agbada they put on. i know God will intervene in our nation real soon. God bless Nigeria. i believe in Nigeria no matter the situation
ReplyDeleteC ha yeye face sef....olodo woman..n she isn't comin 2 lag 2 say any useful fin oh...dull woman
ReplyDeletewow! thats crazy! you are not God Patience!
ReplyDeletePele Linda, and to think the lady in question can't even pick keys on a qwerty keyboard.
ReplyDeleteI stayed home all day once I heard she was coming. I don't want to feel the effect of the boko haramic grammar jare.
The president of US of America does not shut down ppl's lives like this. What da fock is wrong with ppl of Nigerian government? Even if streets will be shut down here in America, they let us know in advance and there are detours planned. What da F is wrong with you President Jonathan. Tell you wife to use her consideration when dealing with ppl. Tell her that she can't do what ever she want. Is the ppl that put you in presidency, we can take that all away in 1.5 years. fock that shet! nonsense and rubbish. I wish that mumu first lady will read this. nonsense. classless person with no home training.
ReplyDeleteSo patience Jonathan asked them to block the road abi? Linda y are u this daft abeg ehn?Her security aides are to be blamed not her, Linda you are so bitter, pple like u don't make it far in life...She is the First lady of Nigeria that's who you will never be..you and your voltrons should better get used to it.
ReplyDeleteSHut up there, sillly yoruba girl.. When tinubu blocked the whole state u no complain, now Bros J wife do her own u dey open onu gi,...biko ga nodani,ka madu nu ife.
ReplyDeleteKant these illiterates ever grow up. Must they put us on hold bkos they want to commission 1 kiosk? Its so painful wasting a whole day on d road bkos 1 bushmeat is in town
ReplyDeleteSofri, sofri Linda. She is our first lady. It could be u tomorrow. Lol
ReplyDeleteMy dear its not her fault but d trappings dt come with being in her office. Even if u were there, u'd do same. Then wen u factor in d insecurity in d country, u can't blame her.
ReplyDeleteAbuja is even worse, every major road has been blocked. To get 2 Agura hotel on Sunday we toured round d city. NNPC, Defence headquarters, Garki police command etc has been cordoned off. It's no one's fault, sorry u had a lousy day.
Sorry about that linda..
ReplyDeleteSorry. You should've bought an helicopter you know. And dont tell me you cant afford it,cos in the last 2months all i've been hearing is 'how i make millions from blogging by Linda Ikeji'.
ReplyDeleteAs for Mama Peshe, too many words to say but too lazy to write them down. *smh*
Lol @ mother of all nations. Linda yaff rilly vexed. Don't be angry you hear? You know that she's our mummy na.
ReplyDelete.
Rubbish. Only in Naija.
Lagosians pls rise up and protest!!!! Send out warnings to Aso Rock! This situation must never repeat itself!
ReplyDeleteIf it were Mrs M Obama or Mrs H Clinton or Mrs Military Dictatorship Ruler would have been angry?
ReplyDeleteYour post is treason. I hereby sentence you to another 5 hours in Lagos traffic. That's your detention. Anymore decension and you will be summarily death with at the Tower of London.
Instead of you to be excited that the First Lady left beautiful Abuja and visited rough looking Lagos State, but you moan and complain. Some people no get manners. Smh.
I'm kidding ooooo :)

Dont mind her. God wikk reward them all. no security in the country and all she knows is how to travel around and block road.
ReplyDeletepls help us broadcast the robbery on ikoyi road. is becoming to much. this guys pretends to be police and what they do is to block the road. thanks
I felt the same way too! I was so pissed like literally. Walahi, God wil judge ooh!
ReplyDeleteSincerely my anger, disgust and outright irritation knows no bounds for this our "conscienceless President and his brighter grammar wife".People were in traffic,on a stand still for upwards of 1hour straight and after a long, hard days job.Parents who hitherto pick up their children from cretch and school either got there very late or just had to resort to trusting someone else on an emergency level to do it for them...all because Patience"Umblerra"was in town. Why can't our so called leaders emulate the actions of other world leaders?Where in the world will you see such a happen happen if not Nigeria?Just terrible! If this is the type of unnecessary and mindless hardship they want to inflicting on us,they should please stay away from Lasgidis and exhibit their "show of power" somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteI pray and hope our selfish politicians read this. It is just insane. You don't do anything for us, you steal our money, you can't provide us with basic infrastructure like every other country and you would still make our lives hell. May the Lord bring his judgement on this people and very fast as well. Why shut down the roads?? Same thing happened when that thief called Tinubu said he was celebrating his birthday
ReplyDeleteSorry about that Lin' am glad u speak ur mind without fear or favor, our leaders here still behave like we are in d military era and d followers because of ignorance allow dem...it shouldn't be that way at all...especially because constitutionally she doesn't even own an office...abi where una see office of d first lady 4 constitution mschew
ReplyDeleteStandstill traffic for 5 hours...Dame Jonathan and all our other insensitive leaders, the wrath of God would visit you soon..and you can't even speak English..tscheww. Don't come to Lagos again o..thunderfire u
ReplyDeleteThis is not the 1st, 2nd or 3rd time she hase done this. Neither will it be the last. It's so wrong on many levels but same thing all the time. All we do is rant and rave and bitch and curse her entire generation. Shikena! Nigerians....a docile bunch.
ReplyDeleteshe came to town to teach...... (wait for it)....PATIENCE...lol
ReplyDeleteSmh!a very selfish woman!anyways,it doesn't last!someday, she will still come back to being a civilian!I hate the jonathans
ReplyDeleteA situation where a so called mother of nation feels insecure even among her own people is an acceptance of defeat.it's Simply crazy.
ReplyDeleteThis is the Decay that plagues this country. How can our leaders ever solve the problems when they are unaware of them and delebrately remove themselves from the masses with sirens and orders to block major roads. I weep for this nation and I dont blame those that left for good. Even taking on citizenship of other nations. I fear to raise my kids in this country called Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteif this was really true, then we are in a "LAWLESS" nation!!!
ReplyDeleteLmao, she's really the woman who puts food on our table.Mtcheeeeew, its only in Nigeria where leaders don't serve the people that things like this happen.Very selfish O Linda.btw wetin she dey fear?
ReplyDeleteWhat can we say? Someone in Lagos must have given the approval for the road closure, so we need to ask, what he was thinking? So much for 'Democrazy'.
ReplyDeletewatch that ur mouth oh.
ReplyDeletewell, welcome to the club...
ReplyDeletehere in abj most roads have been blocked(accoring to dem na boko haram scare)
then d day wey our first father or mother wan go function, 1 hr before they leave their aso villa, the road whr dey ll pass will also be cut off... so we the masses have to find diff route if u can or brave the traffic,.
so lag ppl una sorry u, but we in abj don dey dey used am small sha... na dem get nigeria.......... hissssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
I cannot but agree with you and to crown it all the event was called peace initiative so why so much fear as to warrant such inhuman show of shame, why not in Kaduna or maiduguri where bomb blast incessantly. After she left i saw women in different aso-ebi carrying bags of rice at least, "dey no stay inside sun for nothing. God Bless Nigeria
ReplyDeleteYet,dis is an illiterate who can't write a simple sentence in english...nawa o
ReplyDeleteU got to be kidding me. Only in Nigeria. *mchew*
ReplyDeletethe problem wt our leaders is I dont know if all what they r doing is what they inherited from colonisation or they just deliberately adapted them into their systems, I mean what wickedness?? someone s having a bday - the whole town must go to sleep, when they organise a rally, the whole state must be standstill, when they throw parties for their concubines - we must all go hungry and the last time i checked, the office of a first lady is not one to be glorified and even if we have to, it has to be a 1st lady that can aptly represent us intelligently, not the one that throws missile at whim, Jonathan shd call his dogs to order, we have more pressing issues in Nigeria now than deal wt a clueless 1st lady who doesnt know what her priorities are and in between has anyone visited our airport recently? its pathetic, i tot thats meant to be our gateway, gateway my foot with all d debris right inside the airport, all d sliding doors r not working, what if there's an emergency, how do people escape??? our arrival is pathetic all because our glutton leaders do not use it, they have turned departure side to their own arrival, let ye all know a day of reckon is @ hand when ye all wl suffer in silence and no one wl be there to help, our roads r crying for help, deplorable and miserable and yet someone from nowhere who shd not even have a portfolio in a sane society is blocking the road 'cause she came to town, pls i'll really want to know what impact her visit made on d people of lagos???? patience pls nxt time stay in abuja and display all ur drama & madness, lagosians dont need u and all ur boothasslickers are just jumping like frogs cause of what they'll get from you, and woe betide this administration if they dont fix electricity before 2015, jona pls dont come back to ask for 2nd term cause ur ambition died a long time ago, we r not smiling, u may all be eating gucci rice and prada beans, we dont care just fix us wt the right things - rubbish
ReplyDeleteU got to be kidding me. Only in Nigeria. *mchew*
ReplyDeleteMshewwww HIssssssss Rubbish and nonsense God Punish them
ReplyDeleteit's such a shame, in other countries when the president or the prime minister is moving the police allocates the fast lane 4 them to use and leave the other lanes 4 road users, but here in our nation its a different story.. what a pity.
ReplyDeletemadam, show some respect pls....yes traffic was bad but we all know with boko haram, security has to be stepped up....i bet you were thoroughly searched when you visited america and maybe u were body patted but wont complain......anywhere there is terrorism, the people suffer discomfort......think its time we showed our leaders some respect....
ReplyDeleteshe didnt do dat as in block roads, na busy body policemen and LASTMA officials dey show themselves. they are trying to show stupid loyalty. it annoys me most times wen i see police men and other security officials doing busy body cos of one politician. sowie dear no velgz
ReplyDeleteShe's so irresponsible! Gosh, can't imagine how horrible the day must have been for you and others. Just shows how selfish, egoistical and irresponsible people in position of authority in Nigeria can be. I'm totally disgusted by this type of behaviour. Patience Jonathan should hide her face in shame!!!!!
ReplyDeletelinda dat one na small tin wen she came to akwa ibom state it was worst than that and wen she was leaving, the whole airport was cut off so dat people could not go in to pick their loved ones. as if it was not enuf flights dat were meant to be uyo bound were delayed for abt 5 hours all becos the 1st lady was taking off and so no flights were allowed to come in to land..... can you imagine dat...sowie sha i feel your pain....
ReplyDeleteLinda so sorry abt ur predicament, she is also coming to Benin and m not sure abt the exact date... I hope this will not be the case where the whole of Airport rd and entire G.R.A will be on lock down.
ReplyDeletePatience and Jonathan I so can't wait for yur tenure to be over cos the both of u re just Nuisance to the people of Nigeria. Haba, this is jst Ridiculous
lyntroy says....
ReplyDeletedats naija for u,law makers are always the ones that break the law,its well God will see us tru.
so what ! who told you to gossip about the swag. you linda ikeji go do pass madam jonathan. local govt chairperson dey block road . be guided before you insult elders. an advice.
ReplyDeleteLINDA,I have a classic video on stealing at the MMA airport but you will have to pay a token cos no one has ever seen this video. Its revealing.
ReplyDeleteSorry o Linda. Thats what the rest of us has learnt to put up with here in Abuja. We have most roads espescially those beside major parastatas like the NNPC, Police Headquarters, Force headqurters etc. Its even wore on fridays when the Vice president and his entourage would be going to the musque and so such major roads are blocked at least one hour before his excellencies leave there houses.
ReplyDeleteHavent anyone told you the total madness they threw Abuja into the friday before the last PDP convention? The whole road from the central mosque to the national assembly down to to the ministry of Finance was barricaded. I spent 3hours on a distance that shouldnt take 10mins. I got sunburns inspite of the AC in the car and yes i also got brushed in the kios and no body would stop to analyse that under such tension. At a point i saw an old driver with his eyes closed and mouth open. i could only pray the man was asleep and nothing more serrious as nobody could stop to check him out amidst the pandemonium.
Ify.
Linda! She's still the First Lady, whether u like it or not..Mind what u say 'bou her.. :|
ReplyDeleteI live in Abuja but a friend of mine got stuck in the traffic too. Its just wrong on so many levels... they know how congested the island is normally, blocking 1 road sef is enough to cause chaos talk less of blocking several. WHAT did she come to do? WHAT does this woman contribute to the development and growth of Nigeria? All she does is chop, spend money and speak bad English... with all that money NO class at all and NO empathy for the suffering masses in traffic. shio....*hissing and rolling my eyes in disgust*
ReplyDeleteIt very sad that ordinary visit of the so call ‘First Lady’ could paralyze the economy of a whole state like Lagos. This is very barbaric and a blatant show of undue oppression of the people that voted them in by the ruling class of this great nation. For God’s sake stop this MADNESS.
ReplyDeleteOur police should develop a more intelligent and pro-active way of protecting our so call leaders and stop using outdated method of brutality and force.
The world have gone more sophisticated and scientific. PLEASE stop making Nigerian a laughing stock in the eyes of the international community. This show of shame is the reality of the disconnection between leadership and the led, its a madness that needs to be addressed.
This shows us that this half baked first lady and her Badluck hubby, dont care about the naija peeps!!! Shame

ReplyDeletewas going for a meeting left my house in lekki at 12 noon and got to adeola odeku for 6.30 pm. just cause the first lady comes to town. this is how the government sees the people. we are supposed to line up and wave flags to her for disrupting our day. is that how it is in Abuja when she decides to visit a friend. hissssssssssssss
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Linda, I left lekki at about 11.30am, was at the toll gate at 11.50am, enroute surulere to see a client for 2pm.
ReplyDeleteFast foward(really?) to 3.30pm and I was still at Radisson Blu at Ozumba Mbadiwe(unbelievable..!!)
Why would all activities grind to a halt because she came for English lessons? (as a friend said).
I just tire for Naija...
I just tire
Dat happened in ebonyi state(3 times) during d gej campaigne, n ppl supposed to be d voters(okada) were being harrassed. Please linda explain office of d 1st lady
ReplyDeletei understand how you feel and this is something that keeps happen in most African countries. For example,I am aCameroonain and every time our President, His wifem, kids or ministers are going out. They block the whole place and we get stock, our appointments all cancelled,we miss businesses and all that. This people don`t put food on our table, they don`t pay our bills, they don`t cae how we live or survive, yet they deprive us of the minimum, even the right to be able to hustle they put everything on a stand still just for selfish reasons. This our fuck up society is just a time bomb. Thanks for this article,i thought it happens only here in Cameroon.
ReplyDeleteLinda pele. This is Nigeria, some people are above the law,an ordinary citizen cannot do something like that without paying for it.It's just like one of the rules in the book titled Animal farm by George Orwell-"all animals are equal but some are more equal than the others".
ReplyDeleteRubbish and nonsense. Mchew. No wonder was wonder why your blog was dry yesterday. Madam "gbagaun" shouldn't bring the rubbish they do in Abuja to Lagos o. And I'm sure she didn't have anything reasonable to say or do in Lagos. *oniranu oshi*
ReplyDeleteOkay we don hear.. Please update ya page jor! or u are still sleeping nde?
ReplyDeleteI am a witness to the very humane and kind gesture of the almighty first lady of Nigeria.from Lekki Phase1 to 1004 took 1hr 20 from 1004 to Muson took... u can imagine. It takes me 1 hour 30mins to get to surulere from Lekki but yest. it took me 5 hour 20mins. All hail Patience who wants to teach us how to be patient. my word for her is that the evil or good we do lives with and after them.
ReplyDeletePele Linda, no wonder I keep refreshing my screen yesterday, and all I kept seeing was the uply face of Zimermann. Hope u had a good nite's sleep sha!
ReplyDeleteDon't mind Patience, we will also go and block Otueke!
