  12. I am, the no Sender.

It's interesting to see how Nigerians currently identify opportunities for making money. Aki's wedding story on DVD is supposed to be such, I guess.

Wishing the business concept success though. But, I confess that am hard pressed to see how Aki's wedding DVD will convinse me to part with a hard earned N300.

  29. This aki get sense pass all those pipo wen dey put dia wedding picture for ovation, OK naija and bellanaija...instead of spending on buying space in the mag or giving pictures for free, he is making money from it.
It may not be a bestseller but im sure he will some money from it. after all, many drops of water make an ocean. thats business acumen right dia.

I no go buy oh, but aki...carry go..u get sense.

  30. Buy what? For what? Even if they show it for free on local T.V, I'll switch channels. Yeye dey smell!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I do not see ANYTHING wrong with this. It's his wedding. He reserves the right to do what he wants with it. It's simply a biz opportunity and he's taking full advantage, and hey, it isn't illegal so wharahell?!

And besides, there's no gun to any1's head forcing them to buy it...

Make una dey here they yab am, hundreds of thousands of people WILL buy it and whilst una dey yab (including JOBLESS people), he'll be smiling to the bank :-)

  32. There is nothin we wont see and hear in this world. This is d first time am hearing such. What is their problem? The wife is showing that she has no class. If her husband is that stupid, she should be able to put him in check. I was once a fan but now am just too disappointed.

  33. Noooooo people.Linda, this is stale news naa!Its been all over the internet & Aki did an interview to correct this.He said he never authorized anybody to mass produce his wedding for sale. Please guys let's take it easy on him. I think its those Idumota boys & their piracy stuff at work again. Its really sad

    ReplyDelete
  34. Why are we Nigerians so unreasonable, when Kloe Kardeshans got married did we not buy the DVD what is now wrong with buying Aki´s wedding video? Stop the hating, he is not forcing anybody to by his wedding DVD, let does who love him buy the DVD and does of you who don`t should stop hating and get a life..

    ReplyDelete
  35. Please linda i would like you to give an update/ follow up on 1. the lady journalist/PRO in need of an operation & 2.The guy who nids his feets treated......let us all continue to remember them in prayer.

IF AKi‘s & his management will channel the proceeds towards charity (like the two mentioned above) that will make a whole lot of sense..... maybe by then alot of us will buy his CD since its to save someone‘s life...........alofenna

  39. selling what nonsense

    ReplyDelete
  40. Are they now broke or what?allthese igbotic attitude sef.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I don't see anything wrong in this. Aki's wedding is not your typical wedding. Aki and Pawpaw are both little men, and people will definitely like to see what it looks like for a little man to marry a tall grown woman. That was why they did not announce the venue of their white wedding. So, if people are interested in seeing that,(and some may even want to make mockery of the fact that Aki is a little man)why not charge them money for that? It is the uniqueness of the relationship that makes this venture excusable.

And for those asking whether Aki sees himself as a celebrity, for your information, he is a big time celebrity. He could rarely walk any street in Lagos(or any where in Africa for that matter)without being mobbed.

    Please, give him a break!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Like really???? people would buy the cd and watch? For what now????

    2. I like it when people shout back that someone is a graduate! Makes me laugh all the time. Graduate of which university, pls? What did Aki study? What was his thesis subject? Who was his supervisor? Who were his professors? What class of degree does he hold? Where did he do his youth service after 'graduating'?

You can fool some of the people, some of the time! You can't fool everybody.

      Na illiteracy dey worry Aki.

  55. People need to think sometimes. Do you know that Aki might have no say in this matter. The day after Osama was killed, they were already selling the DVDs on the streets of Lagos. Whose permission did they ask?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hey,those of u criticizing should leave the guy and stop hating joor afterall it a matter of choice,u choose to buy if it interests u if it doesn't then don't.His ardent followers will surely buy it so wat is u peoples' concern about that now??a whole lot of u pple that av bin saying all sort of tins here now will end up watching the dvd in someway even though u may not be buying it directly with your money am very sure about that.Leave him alone,if he likes let him sell that of his honey moon as well them no force u to buy am,buy am if it interests u if not keep quiet and watch on.The DVD is of no interest to me too but I don't see any basis for criticism here......

  57. Kim K style...everyone is stepping up o..lmao

  58. I think this is NOT enterprising but more like EMBARASSING. So what was the point of cancelling the "big" wedding and having a smaller one because they didn't want a media circus? Is he that tight for cash that he would sell a video of what is supposed to be a private moment cementing his love and life together with another? WOW! I expect that from Americans like the Kardashian because at least in their case it's their culture of over exposure and they are getting millions in network studio bucks but this one here is selling his video for N300? Seriously, what is even that in dollars - $2.00? He sold his private moments to each person for $2.00!?!

What next? Should we expect a video of the honey moon (now that will sell out LMAO). Will he sell the video of his wife giving birth?

That wedding must have cost a grip for this to have happen. Nobody is advising him well and the wife too na mumu because were I his wife (which I am not), I would not give the go ahead to have my wedding moment sold especially because people are buying it out of curiosity! It is a different thing if the video was made and given away to close family members and friends as a keep sake but to make a business out of it, I'm surprised at them.

    ReplyDelete
  59. guys he possibly does know that the marketers are selling it out

  63. It will be nice to watch a man of that size marrying a tall girl. It'll be interesting to see, "you can now kiss your bride session" Would someone climb d seat or someone knee down? That's suspense.

Who says the DVD no go sell? Make you all sit down at the back of your system there why someone is making money while you keep making comment.

  64. Although I think it's silly; it's really not different than when people let TV stations sponsor their wedding and in exchange the station can show it as many times as they want.

  75. I don't understand what people mean by he might not know that someone is selling videos of his wedding or abi is it he didn't agree to people selling the video. I don't buy that crap!

First and foremost, how would there be a person videographing your wedding, putting a camera in your face at all the important moment of the ceremony and it isn't someone you interviewed and paid to do the job of committing your ceremony to DVD? And if there was such a person there, why didn't the person get thrown out?

The bobo is selling his own DVD! I don't buy the story that he didn't know or doesn't know or whatever. He is getting a cut.
