  7. I am a 9ice fan and i so much love this video. Kudos to 9ice, all d responses was matured and as for Toke why are you forming as if you are not a Yoruba girl. Dont tell me you dont knw d meaning of 'apon b'epo re or agun t'aso lo' better be proud of who you are. No gainsaying 9ice is doin well in d industry but why will 9ice be a chelsea fan. gunnertillidie

  11. 9ice interview, Alapoji!

  12. He sounds sincere but he is not. How can Toke say he remained silent all throughout the 'beef' period with ruggedman when he was the one that started and refused to quell the nasty rumours in public (even after admitting in private that he wasn't referring to Rugged.

  13. I thot he grew up with his Grandma now it's his step mom and he has sold 10million copies so far or is it 8, anyway he is now a certified billionaire abi (8mil*150 or 8mil*1000 or 8mil*2000) #nomorecomment

Toke's yoruba, hehehe. Like the interview all in all. No aggressiveness from the interviewer and the interviewed.

  18. Nice interview but y is dat girl acting like an idiot? Ur name is furking Toke so y re u pretending u can't speak ur own language n it so obvious u re faking it. Agree some yoruba can't speak it well but in ur own case u re one ghetto girl trying too hard. I sch, work
N live in London n I dt go around n forming as if I no dey shit. Both home n abroad am proud of my heritage, am sorry l2 say dis y is most ppl in naija use fake British/America accent even some haven't bn to embassy not to talk of living abroad. 1. Anytime you came? (._.)

You are fluent with Yoruba, lucky you. Not everyone who says he can speak this mother tongue is forming. We are not all lucky to grow up exposed to our native tongue.

  20. So Toke can not speak Yoruba abi....yet she cannot speak English like the Queen. Eradicate fakeness from NG TV......Bashorun Gaa...Intelligent, deep and keeps it real all the way. Oshe baba mi !

  24. Fcuk 9ice, who is this Toke girl? I NEED her in my life like right now. I thought she was Igbo until she busted out Yoruba and I just melted.

  25. i really enjoyed watching his interview.Nice one 9ice

  26. The interview is cool. I think Toke is really good at this.

  27. Isn't Flytime supposed to use their own song to open their interview? I hope they are paying Tiwa's producer for using this instrumental?

We like to act like Oyinbos but we can't choose and implement some of the beneficial things from them.

You don't hear Tyra/ Oprah using Beyonce/ Rihanna's songs for their shows do you?

  28. This interviewer stopped him various times when he was talking. Not a good one.

    Interview is not bad.

  29. I've been one of 9ice biggest fan from day one. He has a unique talent. Enjoy his music a lot, he makes yoruba language sound so sexy without understanding it.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Toke's too cute, enjoyed the interview.
I didn't even know she cld speak that much Yoruba, so why are some people still offended

Ps. 9ice looks lie he's picked up some of dbanjs style and mannerisms :s

    ReplyDelete
  31. Was just about to say the same, why do people rag n Toke Makinwa so much. She just spoke Yoruba Abi is it Igbo you heard? It is very possible not to understand a lot of things about the language
I think this is so good. The dancing at the end is so cute. Very cute. The chemistry was on point and the conversational style of interviewing is refreshing no clip board answer/questions

  32. Slap yourself. Tiwa is under Flytime . Nigerians when will you learn to appreciate? Toke is doing so well and I am proud of her. So proud can't be easy with all of this negativity it's like you are constantly waiting to say something
Get a life she is living hers if t is so miserable to be you beg God.

  33. Toke,
    Nice job!

Your best friend at Unilag. lol

  34. Toke did so well. I loved the way she danced towards the end. Only issue is she did cut off 9ice a few times and I actually wanted to hear his responses to the awesome questions she asked. She needs to allow her interviwees finish their sentences unless they of course are beating around the bush...9ice has gotten so much better interviwing. Seems he has started taking some English classes as well. Good for him. To the person who said they thot he grew up with his granny...I think it was just from one of his songs or interviws or something where they called him OMO IYA AGBA. I dont think he actually confirmed anywhere that he grew up with his grandma

    ReplyDelete
  35. And his responses were mature........ not "matured". Why are you forming like you don't speak proper English? *snigger, snigger*

    ReplyDelete
  36. The interviewer is beautiful and did a job well done. Proud of her. As of 9ice, that's my boo. I was listening to his songs on youtube few hours ago. Let me go buy the album.

    ReplyDelete
  37. This guy's music and use of the language is sooo deep! I am Yoruba, speak the language quite well but still have to do homework after listening to some of his songs. Guess that's why his album sits in my CD changer longer than any other. U rock, bro!

    ReplyDelete
  38. His manager is very rude.
I dislike the guy but like 9ice instead.Pls get a better manager.
