Ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo's grandson turns rapper

His stage name is Babsss. Real name - Babajide Obasanjo. The 18 year old just returned from London to study in a private university in Nigeria. Babsss is currently in the studio recording for a mixtape that is to drop in the middle of this year and I hear he is currently recording a remix of Davido's Damiduro ...and instead of omo baba olowo,  it will be tagged 'omo baba Obasanjo'. The remix drops on the 1st day of march 2012. So watch out for him.

  16. LOL I hope he won't be singing about how rich he is and how he can pour champagne down the toilet when he goes out. That'll just be rubbing our faces in it and right now Nigerians are angry. May not be the best time for a debut, hehe

  18. People can say whatever about OBJ, he was a better president than all these so called leaders. He messed up about Yar adua because he thought he will continue what he started, not knowing that this Hausa boy had his own agenda.

He's too razz, he's ugly, he looks like a monkey, who cares. This man is living his life and I will say he's wiser and better than the CRIMINALS ruling Nigeria. And, Stella obasanjo is still one of Nigeria's best first ladies.

  19. Why are Nigerians so sentimental, the fact that he's OBJ grandson does not mean he has nothing to great to offer. Moreover OBJ was one of the best president Nigeria ever had, though he has his flaws (i don't expect him to be perfect). Talking of the small pieces of chicken they are grilling, WTF!!! what's anyone's biz with that?. Let them live their lives as normal humans. later if they grill big pieces of chicken drumstick you'll say its your money. Haba Nigerians!

  26. I know him very well as a school mate and as a friend he is someone with great vision...we should try and apreciate him for dat instead of saying rubbish about his grandfather{most people from rich familys depend on their parents fame and success but dis is a young man dat is ready to make it on his own}we should be pround of him*ROLEX*

  29. I don't know y u guys are discriminating him,he his a cute kid and his talent has nothing to do with his Dad. 36. @anon 6:22pm you are the one that is razz, if this were barack obama you would be singing his praises of how down to earth he is. And for those saying the boy is not fine I think you are just stating your own insecurities Nigerians can be so ignorant that is just too sad.
PS:That is chicken not plantain, which proves your razzness.

  42. I am not religious lover of the OBJ clan. However I kinda like the simplicity OBJ carries.I went to school with one of OBJ's son in the early 90s and we played on the same basket ball court. This people are really down to earth I tell you.If Nigerians had a chance to exchange GEJ for OBJ,they will do so in a hurry.
As per the chicken,Nigerians what is wrong with it??? You rather have the likes of Dezeani Madueke's insensitive kids right? OBJ can certianly afford to have bigger drum sticks but he has chose to eat what he wants and you all complain.Abah!

  45. The grandson surely looks like his grand father.

  46. Naijas hate the most on people who are trying to do the right thing. BUNCH OF COWARDS. I don't see any of you guys going after Abacha or IBB's children or grandchildren.
Going after a child for no reason, laughing at his broad nose, calling OBJ razz because he keeps it simple. Here comes this guy who is trying to do something with his life, not just wasting his grandpa's money, and this is what he gets?

OBJ is probably one of the few where his children are well educated, and I'm sure his grand children followed that footstep too.

You guys jokes are VERY DRY, NOT FUNNY.
SHAME ON ALL OF YOU GUYS, YOU GUYS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES.

  52. Some people are Idiots, wont anyone pray to be like Obasanjo, wont anyone pray he or she is his desendant? Obasanjo, the conqurer of the old civil war, the president that brought democracy, the man that only what he did are what we see till date, still yet no president in this nation is up to him.
imagine a grandfather roasting chicken with grandson and allow them snapped, what a freedom, what a friendship, what a big and loving grandpa.

    ReplyDelete
  53. naija people should try to be less sentimental. Obasanjo is one of the best things that ever happened to Nigeria

    ReplyDelete
  54. OBJ, is still one of the best presidents. He did more for Nigeria than several presidents combined, don't understand the hatred towards this guy.
Kudos to the kid trying to do something. Would you rather hear him being irresponsible? Good luck, kid.
