It's an uplifting experience seeing the youths of Nigeria standing up to be counted all over the world. I hope we can sustain this. #OccupyNigeria http://idovas.wordpress.com/2012/01/05/soon-we-shall-be-trekking-dr-reuben-abati/
i was just going to say that linda did not bring the update on the rally and here we go infact you are current and a big ups for you.
i thought it was just going to be only a hand full of people but mehn the place was crowded and it was a very cold morning and naija no dissapoint as representation plenty no be small as you know na we wey dey here in diaspora go suffer am pass because a lot of our families in naija realy on us to send money and that would mean sending extra and in the uk now where there are no jobs and the salaries are frozen meaning no increment for about 2 years now since the recession started.
i carry yansh for my naija people as we go represent even jona go shock when em see the pictuires yeye man
Linda you have really tried...i cant help but praise your efforts; na people like you deserve national honours nor be them Stephanie okereke,,,well don dear,,we ll alwz support you
it seems all the protests are happening everywhere except the most important place. ASO ROCK RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF THE GOVERNMENT BUILDING! but I'm sure they will just unleash the vicious and heartless police on innocent protesters.
well done girl you are current and i am glad that your blog, sahara reporters and nairaland are keeping us updated on the strike which is good. for bella naija blog she is not even saying anything about it and i wonder if she resides in nigeria?
also bring this news to your blog there were those who went to protest in abuja that the subsidy should be removed and then after a while they went to queue to collect 1000 naira is that not foolishness the money that can't even buy a plate of rice and that would be it.
it really shows the extent that jona would go to stop this strike 1st he used the nonsense court to say the strike is illegal then he used the hungry looking people to support the subsidy removal it is a real shame that jona does not want to listen to the voice of the poor masses and he would pay dearly for it.
please bring the news to your LIB readers and see how they were queing up to collect 1000 naira i was so angry when i saw the news.
I felt so proud when I saw the Picts of protesters in London & when I read about the #occupynigeria protest in NY! Nigerian is on the path of change, my fellow Nigerians we can make a change if we all stick together & throw out these animals in power who could care less about our lives. We demand a leader values our lives & well being May the souls of those who lost their lives in the Town Hall Meeting in Adamawa RIP. It is time for our people's lives to be worth something. Arise o' compatriots!
Dis is a nice move by our people staying abroad, cos dis really shows dat dey are patriotic nigerians...GEJ is doing more harm than Good 2 d pple of nigeria, if he feels d pressure is 2 much on him he shud just step down simple**frowning face**
Miss Linda, abeg visit this site:www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-840258.0.html to get phone numbers of those in government fron GEJ to David Mark, Ike Ekweremadu, Laraban Maku, Diezani Madueke, Rotimi Amachi, VP's wife and many others in order for people to register their grieves as per subsidy removal. It was obtained by OccupyNigeria. Thanks.
Today, Nigerians have been awakened from their slumber! The days of slothful slumber and apathy are no more! Yes ....NO MORE!! Henceforth, let us demand ACCOUNTABILITY, let us demand RESPONSIBILITY in governance, Let us demand governmental SENSITIVITY towards the plight and the sufferings of the working-class! Let us demand TRUTH and TRANSPARENCY from our government. Let us demand JUSTICE, EQUITY AND FAIRNESS from the leadership! let us demand that our funds be handled with INTEGRITY, ASTUTENESS AND PRUDENCE! Let us demand RESULTS AND RETURNS from our investments. Let us demand an end to CORRUPTION and acute MALFEASANCE! Let us demand REPARATION AND RESTITUTION from both past and present leaders! Let us demand JUDICIAL REFORM and TRUE JUSTICE! Let us demand a CHANGE in our polity and REFORM in our governance! Let us demand a HIGHER STANDARD of CONDUCT and CHARACTER in the constitution of our leadership. Let us demand a COMMITMENT to HARD-WORK and LEADERSHIP BY EXAMPLE!! Let us demand CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, CITIZEN'S PRIVILEGES and EQUITABLE BENEFITS from a government that has taken its people for grated for too long! Let everyone that has hope for a better tomorrow arise and take up the fight to bring a CHANGE!!!
