You are not married not because there is no man ready for marriage as a good number of men are looking for life partners. The major reason Nigerian men are now scared of marriage is waywardness. Men are now afraid because they don’t know who to trust and also not sure if that beautiful girl they are interested in still has her womb intact.

They are also afraid because of the high mountain ladies have suddenly placed themselves on as no woman wants to date a poor man any longer but are all interested in those with good cars and houses.
A man recently told me why he does not allow his girlfriends to come to his house. According to him, he doesn’t want a case where a girl enters his house only for her to refuse leaving because of the beauty of the house and cars she will see.

Isn’t it surprising how single ladies now out-dress married women with good jobs whose husbands are very rich? You are not married because the single men around you are wondering if they will be able to meet up with your ever-demanding lifestyle. Even when they know they can afford it, what makes them believe you won’t take a walk tomorrow if anything goes wrong?

Walk Against Rape/Violence Against Women

On Wednesday, October 5, 2011, Enough is Enough Nigeria, Project Alert, Rubies Ink, Delta Women, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) along with several other civil society organizations and individuals will walk in several cities around Nigeria to raise awareness about violence against women in Nigeria, and in particular, demand action on the gang-rape of a young lady by five young men alleged to be students of Abia State University (ABSU).

The walk will take place in the following cities:
Abia: Walk will commence at the Okpara square in Umuahia, Abia state and conclude at the state house.
Lagos: Protest will hold at the Abia State Liaison Office in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Abuja : Protesters will converge at The Eagle Square

Parenting groups have criticized top retailers for selling high-heeled shoes for girls as young as three, claiming they encourage the sexualisation of children.

Rita O’Reilly, of Parentline.com said: ‘Parents need to say No. A child should be dressed as a child.

'Parents are dressing their children as adults if they are putting them in high heels. I wouldn’t consider it appropriate. We all wore our mother’s heels which is fine.

‘Putting children in adult clothing can sexualise them and make them grow up before their time. Also if you put a young child in heels then they are not able to swing on swings and skip, and other things children naturally do.’

Corper attacked with acid, ex-boyfriend attacker still roaming free

 

Her name is Onyinye Blessing Agu and in February this year, an ex-boyfriend poured acid on her for ending their relationship two months earlier.

Onyinye was a corper, serving in Badagry West LCDA in Lagos State when the unfortunate incident happened to her.

The victim  became a born again christian, decided to live a new life and didn't think being in a relationship was appropriate, so she ended the relationship she was in with Ifeanyi Collins Ude in December 2010. Two months later, Ifeanyi, who's based in Enugu came to Lagos to visit Onyinye, with evil intentions.

As Onyinye was seeing off her once abusive boyfriend, Ifeanyi brought out a container from the plastic bag he was carrying, poured acid on Onyinye, and ran off.

Nollywood producer Donald Okoli dies

Another death in Nollywood. Top writer and producer, Donald Okoli has passed away. The producer, who was in his forties, died this morning...in his sleep.

Before his death, he'd produced several movies, including “Family Battle” which won an AMAA Award. May his soul rest in peace...amen!

A few months ago someone I know also died in his sleep. He was 41. How do you die in your sleep? Can anyone explain what causes death while sleeping?

A hired killer fell in love with his victim then faked her death with the help of some tomato ketchup. Hitman Carlos Roberto de Jesus, from Brazil, was paid £345 to murder Iranildes Aguiar Araujo.

He was contracted by housewife Maria Nilza Simoes, who was convinced Iranildes was having an affair with her husband.

But when de Jesus saw his intended victim he fell head over heels in love with her and confessed the plot. The pair then conjured up a plan to fool his employer into believing he had carried out the hit.

The mother of Zack, Fred, Ruke, and grandmother of Jeta, all from the Amata acting dynasty, has passed away. Mrs Joy Amata died September 12, 2011 at the age of 81.

Their late father was one of the pioneers of film-making in Nigeria.

Robbers Invade Bowen University

Students of Bowen University today scampered for safety as armed robbers invaded the premises of the private university located in Osun State. The robbers succeeded in robbing one of the banks inside the school premises. There are two banks in the school - Sterling Bank and Skye Bank.

No student, teaching or non-teaching staff was seriously injured, but heard one of the guards at the bank was shot dead. The armed bandits escaped after the robbery!

Bullet Proof Charm Fails OPC Leader. Dies after being shot by friend

It was a sad end for Yisa Anifowose, the leader of the Odua People’s Congress, OPC, at Shasha, Akowonjo, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, when his friend, John Taju, shot him dead while testing the efficacy of his newly acquired bullet-proof charm.

 

The charm could not prevent bullets from penetrating into his body as he reportedly boasted before he was shot. He slumped and died as a result of the injury he sustained during the shooting.

Her late husband died May 28th 2008. Happy to know she's found love again.
