  24. This is the saddest news i have heard all year. I loved Okwy thru her photos since 2007 because her gorgeous angelic beauty just exudes thru the beauty. I am so saddened by this death and in tears as i type this. There was something so angelic about her. May she rest in perfect peace and Chinedu you are definately in my prayers during this sad time. I remember yalls gorgeous wedding photos i enjoyed browsing thru over a year ago. Okwy was the most beautiful bride and that smile could lit up a room even watching it thru my lap top. I will miss that shy smile of hers. Okwy may you rest in peace, You are just gone too soon.

I am searching for the apparent dedicated website to leave my condolence to Chinedu and the rest of the family. I hear there is a website somewhere.

Okwy rest in peace oohhh- as i type this i am crying so much because this should not have happened.

  47. Though, it was sad at church today when the Pastor announced her passing. It was also a joy to know that she gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savour. I am very sure that you are enjoying and having a good time with our Lord and Savour in heaven. I trust that her husband will continue to serve God so that, two of them will be reunited together in heaven. This is a reminder to all people that life is so short and we all need Jesus to be save, the only way to heaven.
So sister, see you in heaven

  48. Though, it was sad to hear her passing. It was also a joy to know that her life on this earth was not wasted as she knew the Lord Jesus as her Savour. So, as we mourn here, she is having a good time with our Lord Jesus christ in heaven. I pray that her husband will continue to serve Jesus faithful so that, both of them we be reunited together on the last day in heaven. I also pray that through this death, Her whole family will come to know Jesus.
Because she accepted Jesus as her Lord and savour, she is not dead but passed on to eternal glory. So sister see you in heaven.

  52. I beg pay your respects and move on! What's with all this" I wonder what the cause of death is?" Is there no dignity in death?

    ReplyDelete
  53. When a person dies, enquiring for details of death is so wrong. Just let them rest in peace, dragging up someone medical hiStory on a blog is totally uncouth!

  54. Lost my mother 2 year ago so went to naija with my siblings for the burial. What shocked us was the manner in which people kept digging for the cause of her death! Extremely intrusive. U guys back off, leave those details for the immediate family

I keep telling myself its not true, i remember Vividly September 12 when i called her to tell her that i've put to bed a baby boy, before 30mins she was at my bedside in the hospital looking at my child with so much motherly love and smiles, she said Winnie i cant wait to have my own bundle of joy wrapped in my arm and i told her she will be a great Mum. Oh cant still believe she couldnt make it through the labour and delivery process, cant believe Okwy could never be the wonderful Mum she wanted to be, i cant believe that after looking wonderful in your pregnancy that you could not make it. Chinedu may God give you and your Inlaws the strenght beyond what is normal to bear this great loss. Rest in peace Olanma(GOLDLIKE BEAUTY)as i fondly call you, Adieu enyi ka Nwanne till the resurrection morning

  64. I don't mean to divert from the condolence messages and all but All you anonymous people telling us not to inquire about the cause of death should next time not ask us to grief and console with you...what utter nonsence. What is wrong with asking? After all the dead is dead, what is insensitive about asking? Relax jo

  65. I just attended her Mum's bday some weeks back. It is such a sad news. Her Mum was a Mum to my siblings. May the Lord comfort the family. Amen

  66. Asking for the cause of death gives "closure". I don't think that there is anything wrong with asking.....it shows we care.

  67. RIP.....its so painful u lost ur own life trying to bring another life into dis world,,what a painful exit!!!

@MADE IN WARRI JOKES,,,,,,are u human at all???guess u came from the lineage of animals,,,that is why the loss of a human life is meaningless to u.......i dont know dis lady and she's a woman who died in process of child bearing and to think she never enjoyed her marriage for long too is something to ponder about........

    ReplyDelete
  68. May the lady's soul RIP. Naija pipu should get over this not disclosing the cause of death. What's the big deal? We would all die eventually. When someone dies young, it helps the grieving process when people know the cause.

I know people who died and the family would not disclose the cause. It fuels unnecessary rumors and bad feeling. It is no respect for the dead to keep the cause private. The silence is actually disrespectful to the dead as well as those they've left behind who are struggling to come to terms with the loss. If you know, it is easier to make a sense of it all. If you don't, you just become angry and shove it to the back of your mind and then the person is quickly forgotten!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Nothing offensive coming from our culture..we always ask..what killed that person..as someone posted it gives closure and it might help save a life..if it had been a preventative illnes..

    ReplyDelete
  70. Someone mentioned Prof. Amajor. It made sense for such a handsome man to have such a pretty daughter.
My thoughts are with him in this loss. A father burying his daughter is never right.
For those offended by the queries on cause of death, get real!! It is cultural. Nothing intrusive. You don't want folks to go speculating and spreading rumours all over the place. You might not like it, but it is African and nothing makes it wrong.
I might not care either way but insulting those asking is a bit harsh and unfair,as long as they ask in a thoughtful manner.

    ReplyDelete
  71. @ wini syno,

reading your comment brought tears to my eyes. Okwy, may your gentle soul rest in peace. God, I pray you will console her husband and her family. Death is no respecter of person, but God knows better.

There's nothing wrong in asking, because I know it gives me closure as opposed to the "DON'T ASK" that Nigerians do all the time.

  72. RIP is always the first word that everyone say when someone dies. I am happy that our beloved sister had rested in peace Because she believed in Jesus and faithfully served him. So, she rested at the feet of Jesus forever and ever.
I want everybody to know that without Jesus when someone dies, there is no such a word and a thing like RIP for peace is only through Jesus Christ. If our beloved sister can talk to us right now, she will say " I am at peace, have you given your life to Jesus and if not, give your life to Jesus by asking him to come into your life and that is the only way you will rest in peace when you die or else is hell for eternity."
Therefore, Our sister Okwy is enjoying herself with Jesus.

  74. I worked with Okwy and just last week I was laughing with her. She had such a great sense of humor. We were beginning to be good friends. I had a dream last night where I saw Okwy in a restaurant and she told me in her jovial way she was doing just fine. It made me happy that she was happy. I don't know how many times it will take to walk by her desk and not feel the sadness anymore. Andrew.
