An Islamic school situated along the Urhobo Rd, in Sapele, Delta State was reportedly bombed yesterday evening by unknown persons. Unconfirmed reports say over four people were injured in the attack.
Meanwhile the National Security Adviser to the President, Gen Azazi has said that the Federal Government is incapable of policing the entire country.
Dear LIB readers, please stand up and give Gen Azazi a standing ovation. Amazing people!
Well Gen Azazi is trying to safeguard his job. With all the turmoil, it is showing that they lack the intelligence to deal with these fools creating terror all around the country. It is sad how Nigeria continues to have very dull, lacklustre and poorly articulated people in key positions of leadership!
this is exactly what the sponsors of boko haram wants,to ignite secterian or civil war and thereby distabilise Nigeria.since they didnt win the presidency, they will be no peace for those who won.if innocent Nigerians will have to die for them achieve their aim,so be it.these group of northerners are wealthy enough to fly their entire generation out of the country and they have mansions in choice cities all over the world. Those calling on angry and vulnerable christians to take up arms should PLEASE STOP!God please save us!
The Christians should wait for the Moslems to kill all of dem abi? My dear... the Moslems dont have the monopoly of violence. Since the leaders of this COuntry have failed, then the populace need to defend themselves in any way they can..
Thank God for the Warri boyz abeg.... I wish their Ibo counterparts will stop being cowards and do what they need to do.... From what i hear most of the people killed in the north are Ibos... If na to make noise about Biafra, dem no go allow person hear word.....
i learned that the Urhobo are challenging the 1914 amalgamation of the Northern and Southern Protectorate. that i would support vehemently. the bible says two cannot work together unless they are agree.
the north and South are not in agreement, we do not even have a common pedestal to articulate our point at least for compromise to be made. so why are we deceiving ourselves? who is interested in staying in the same country with a bunch of dirty, illiterate brutes ?
nobody has the monopoly to violence but before it gets to that we must stand up and let them go. Nigeria should not and cannot continue to remain one if this violence persist.
nice try, next tomorrow is friday and by God's grace moslem's will soon understand what it means not to have freedom of worship. Hopefully big crowded mosque's will be the next target's and the perpetrator's need only declare that they are boko-haram since they are obviously enjoying the protection of the federal govt.
How can a whole former Chief of Army Staff and now Security Adviser make this kind of hopeless comment. What does he expect of us? live and sob in these menace revaging our nation(that is if we are really one). Is finding solutions to security challeges not part of his job? Rather than looking for events tested anti-terror tactics useable for these kind of insurgencies, he's busy brandishing their incompetence. Azazi, am so disappointed by this statement credited to you.
Gen Azazi is seriously making sense, the security cannot be at every street at every point in time, if we wait for the president and the security to protect us before we can protect ourselves, we will realize the truth in Azazi's statement when we are bombed and we are dead. time to rise up and act is now, the clock is ticking, how long will the 'good ones' still hang on while the 'bad ones' are having a field day? how long? how long???
linda u may sound sarcastic by saying we should give azazi a standing ovation, but his statement, though inappropriate, is so true. FG can't police the entire country. What we need to effectively fight crime & terrorism in Nigeria is state policing. Like how it's done in some parts of the world. (the US for instance have the NYPD, LAPD etc). Policing in this country should be decentralized (PHCN too) if we want to make any meaningful progress in crime fighting.
I think that is a crappy thing for Gen Azazi to say. Isn't it his job(and the others) to ensure that the country is safe or at least advise on how it can be safe?too bad!!!
For once, Azazi confirms the ineptitude and lack of preparedness to either police or protect the poor citizens of this great Country by the security agents. We are not surprised, he just confirmed what we knew all the while...shame on them!! I am happy i did not vote for this clueless directionless govt...mschewwwwwwwwwwwww
This is obviously a move to make us believe that it is not an attack against christians only. Well... it didn't work. If this was truly a counter attack, there would have been more casualties. Please, don't let these northern retards deceive us...Chike
NoNoNo no. This is exactly wat these devils want. Religious war. The Bible has said it will happen so why are people allowing themselves to be tools of this evil prophecy. We should not retaliate in this manner. It makes christians no different. The painful part is we are killing innocent islamic children. Yes most will be children.
SMH AT THE COMMENTS!LINDA I AM DISGUSTED AT THE PPL WHO READ UR BLOG!SO TIT FOR TAT IS THE WAY FOWARD??AND U WONDER WHY WE WOULD NEVER PROGRESS??for ur information even muslims are not in support of this devlish group boko haram who hide under the cloak of islam to commit their atrocities,.,
All of u sayn we shld have peace go n sleep jor! Mtcheew. Waiit until u feel d pain of loosn smbdy or d terror of running in panic. Waiit for when u view everybdy as a potential terrorist.waitt for aso rock to be bombed like d pentagon n world trade tower b4 u do smfn. Even for bible d isrealites had to fight nations for dia peace n a claim of dia heritage. I stl tnk dis amnesty tin came too early. Let militants n dia machine guns mob down d freakin boko haramists den we go kw where we dey. Best solution...find dem n kill dem like osama, if not...share d country lets protect our borders. And if u dnt agree wit me, beta go hug transformer die b4 ur boko haram frnds bomb d shit outta u. Proudly deltan Chrissie
It's a ludicrous but an honest statement!...At least the General is confessing the truth; that Badluck Jonathan govt is soo inept that they cannot police the entire country...it's now entirely up to every Nigerian to be mindful of their safetly and for protecting themselves; watch your sourroundings; dont go out to crowded events, avoid going to church & mosque or political events if you feel it's unsafe, etc, etc... After our govt has failed us in providing jobs, electricity, and good infrastructures, Nigerians are now burdened with the responsibility of providing for their own security & safety! It's only in Naija...everyman for himself. chikena!!!
We should be careful the way we report the news. What Azazi actually said was ......'It is absolutely difficult to man every point of the country when there are security problems. Like I have said before, there is need for security awareness. There is need for public participation so that there must be cooperation between security and the society for us to make progress'....
Basically he was saying that the security operatives needs the cooperation of the public. For example, if you see something suspicious, report it to the security operatives. The attempted bombing in Times Square was prevented because someone selling hot dogs saw smoke coming out from a car and called the police.
I'm not saying the security forces don't have their part to play but we need to understand that WE all have a part in this.
And for the readers who are calling for retaliatory bombings against Muslims and/or hailing the bombing of the school in Sapele, do they ever stop to think that this is actually what Boko Haram wants? Why do you think they specifically targeted churches this time around?
Anon @ 11:14am, I think Linda was being sarcastic by saying give Mr. Aziz a standing ovation.
Anyways, it is clear that the leadership in this country is one complete FAILURE. If the government cannot respond to violent attacks on its citizens then the people have no choice but to engage in self help to protect themselves and that is what is now starting to happen.
i knw wat azazi is sayn is d truth bt he doesnt hve2how his incompetence by sayn it, wen his daughter was gettn married d whole of falom ikoyi was blocked 4weddn wit security and al bourdillion road frm french embassy was blocked cos of security wit deir 350k aso ebi.........................old oaf. Ojukwu saw dis more than 40 years ago n dey said d man was inordinately ambitious n d rest of d country ganged up against igbos...let FG deal wit d situation,na Siddon look we dey...never again shall we sacrifice millions of lives for d rest d country
Oh oh I didn't realise !! Ohhh ohhhh really?!?! What is it 999,911,666 what r d public supposed to dial?!?!? Dear oh dear we r tlking about nigeria right?! Two wrongs dosen't make right. christianity is all about peace. if any crisis arises, the rich politicians can easily fly their families out, and it is still the poor masses dat will face d consequencies. be wise Nigerians.

Those talking of war are idiots, you've never been in a war, that's why you can run your mouth.
The issue is not moslem vs. christian or north vs. south. It is Boko Haram vs. Nigeria.
I fear the continuous existence of nigeria as a nation is being threatened by the so called 'boko a ram'.
ReplyDeletehmm let this thing not turn into a free for all oh! it would be disastrous.
