Boko Haram ex-spokesperson sentenced to 3 years in prison

An Abuja magistrate court yesterday sentenced, Ali Konduga, the ex-spokesperson for Boko Haram who named some prominent Nigerian politicians as sponsors of the sect, to 3 years in Jail for scores of attacks, including the August suicide bombing of UN headquarters in Abuja which killed 23 people and injured more than 80 others.

Only THREE years? Wow!

  1. Boko Haram activist and murderer gets 3 years for genocide and mass murder? Only in Nigeria. Na wa o. Death to Boko Haram, Arewa Consultative Forum, Boko Haram sponsors, Boko Haram supporters and Boko Haram appeasers. This insulting and stupid sentence is nothing but Hausa / Fulani and Arewa Consultative Forum (AFC) pleasing sentence, and a slap in the face to Nigeria and people whose loved ones were slaughtered by islamic terrorists, Boko Haran. Where is justice? Where's the deterrent in this sentence? The man should have been sentenced to at least 25 years in prison, then, hanged at the end of his sentence. What's next? Give national honours, awards and sainthood to Boko Haram sponsors, Arewa Consultative Forum? Naija na fcuked up country. Smh.

  3. I don,t understand this. for someone, who killed over 23 people and injured over 80 people in abuja UN building bomb blast and is given only 3 years in prison, then this is injustice to Rev. king, who killed only one person and was sentenced to death by hanging.

  4. Is this some joke? How are we going to deter people from terorism by issuing a meagre 3yr jail term for colluding with criminals to blow up govt institutions and destruction of lives. This is a most unfortunate sentence considering the enormity of the offence committed against the Nigerian people. Oyewumi should be reminded that gone had the days when Nigerians can be fooled! Moreover, nemesis will definitely catch up with all evil perpetrators in this country.Sorry d jail term is unsatisfiable bcos somebody who could organize killing of fellow human being suppose to have been sentence to death. This is no justice.

And in the same country, we passed a bill to sentence gay people to 12 yrs for being gay (afterall we are religious people and cant stand such things). but pls we dont mind shedding innocent blood
    things have since fallen apart

Gay people will serve 14 years in prison, if caught, for being themselves.

Yes. This totally makes perfect sense.

Please lets say thank you to the Judge that ruled on this case. To our President Goodluck Jonathan. To the Senate President, David Mark and, of course, to the ever brilliant Senators.

It's always good to know we will continue to be fcuked up.
