The maiden edition took place on the 13th of April 2009 to help raise funds towards further development and completion of the Lagos Living and Learning center (Triple L center) for children with developmental disabilities, and was able to raise over a million Naira from the auction.
While last year’s edition which was for cervical cancer awareness featured famous bakers in Lagos state who donated Christmas theme cakes for auction sale during the event. The bakers include the likes of Cakes by Tosan, Baker’s world, Absolute elegance, Delibakes cakes and pastries, Tetrazzini foods limited, Cactus restaurant, Ooh la la, Licious desserts, Odus martiello, Cakes and Cream and lot’s more.
The event also provided a platform for sponsors, bakeries, patisseries and food outlets to showcase their products and interact directly with their consumers while supporting a vital, charitable, public health programme.
And this year’s event to be bigger and better than previous ones. The amiable ex beauty queen plans to raise millions for cervical awareness.
By purchasing a ticket you are donating to the George Kerry Life cervical health awareness fund. Ticket also gives you entry to the event and allows you bid for cakes to raise more funds towards cervical cancer awareness in Nigeria.
