El-Rufai and late daughter, Yasmin. |
The 25yr old was found dead in her residence in London yesterday Sunday Nov 26th.
The cause of her death is still unknown but there is no suspicion of foul play. Some say she died in her sleep, others say the death was as a result of domestic accident.
Yasmine held a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Bath, UK and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics (LSE). She also had a law degree from the University of London. May her soul rest in peace...amen.

ReplyDeleteohhhhhhhh such a bad news, may her soul rest in peace
ReplyDeleteAwwwwww.........so sad......may she find peace with d lord.Amen........
ReplyDeleteSomeone said she was epileptic. It meant that she should have never been left alone. A phone call for an ambulance could have saved her life. She should have had a carer.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, I suspect spiritual warfare. The person her father had a recent disagreement with tried to finish some people in the mystic realm but god saved them several times with prayers.
They stopped breathing for some seconds this year and almost died too. El Rufai needs to pray... He should not be too 'proud' to approach Pastors for help although he is a Muslim.
iku doro, aaaaaaaa... Rest in peace . when dey knew she was epileptic, why did they leave her alone in the house,, why??????? why cant someone be with her all the time and all. what a loss.
ReplyDeletemay her soul rest in peace. Amen
ReplyDeleteHow sad, may her soul rest in perfect peace.
ReplyDeleteWho is this FOOL here saying "spiritul warfare"?? Eyin Naija...una don start! its good you kept your name anonymous!
ReplyDeleteMay her soul rest in peace. God be with her family and friends as they go through this period and the vacuum her absence will bring.

ReplyDeleteAnonymous 10.08, there are 22 year olds in england with phd oh. after Alevels, your BSC is just 3 years. they also give waivers so you dont take courses you already did with another degree, so its veeeerrrryyyy possible.
ReplyDeletedeath no dey fear o. kia, see such a brilliant young lady with so much potentials, may the good Lord grant repose to her gentle soul and also grant the family, the fortitude to bear the loss. amen.
ReplyDeleteAnon 11:40 AM
ReplyDeleteWetin u dey talk???
May God give her family strenght in this time.
May her soul rests in peace, very sad indeed!God grants herfamily n friends to bear the loss!
ReplyDeleteRest in Peace..no doubt should never have been left alone..she would have been better off being in 9ja amongst family..'cos London can be a cold place everybody forever chasing their own business...
ReplyDeleteHave a cousin with the same illness and being around family was what has kept him alive..tho it has impeded other parts of his development..like Yasmin...he was also in the UK..
How sad, God gives and God takes! May her humble soul rest in perfect peace.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous November 28, 2011 10:08 AM- in the United Kingdom, it is not possible to do two parallel courses at the same time as this is not permitted under the rules and regulations of UK most universities- what likely happened is that she probably went to university at an early age, finished one course and then went on to do a second degree course before doing her master's degree. The other explanation might be that she did a bachelor's degree and a master's degree concurrently but Linda's article does not state whether the degree from UCL was a bachelor or masters but i suspect the latter. RIP, Yasmin el-Rufai, a gemstone gone too soon
ReplyDeleteInna lilahi Wa inna ilaihi Raji hun! May Allah 4give her sins nd grant her family d fortitude 2 bear this great loss.
ReplyDeleteMay her soul rest in peace, this is so sad lost a sister as well to epilepsy they shouldn't be left to sleep alone.....so sad may God comfort the family
ReplyDeleteYes @ 25, you can have a Masters degree. Don't be too 'bush' now. In the UK, it takes 3 years to study for a degree and one year for a masters...
ReplyDeleteMost students start their degrees at the age of 18. You can even gain a PhD at 24 like Dr Reuben Abati? Some people are simply Brilliant. Yasmin El-Rufai was probably studying for a PhD. I have not confirmed...
may her gentle soul rest in peace
ReplyDeleteRIP. may God give her family the fortitude to bear the loss
ReplyDeleteThis is very sad! May her soul RIP
ReplyDeleteDear God,
ReplyDeleteWhy MUST this happen to good people, she's only 25 and there are tons of bad guys out there still hanging around and living large.WHY?
Not Fair!!
Kevin.
Geez!what a loss.
ReplyDeleteHhhmm!Death is really no respecter of persons. As I was driving back from Church yesterday,a young man probably returning from Church was crossing the road and got hit by a car just in front of me. He died instantly. It was the closest I have been to an accident.
ReplyDeleteNow, Yasmin!
May God help us all to live worthy lives here on earth as the end is really near.
RIP Yasmin.
This is so very sad, I never knew her but I'm weeping. She didn't attend mere schools to start with, these are high ranking schools in England. May her soul RIP. God please have mercy on the rest of us and preserve our lives.
ReplyDeleteIts not possible that she would have been with some one 24/7. She probably had an attack and that was it. She's not alone in london. She has family and friends. So, it was just a case of her returning to God Almighty. No set times or dates. We all will make that journey. May she rest in peace. Ameen.. Luv u Yas..
ReplyDeleteMeeeehhnnnn.... Aint that sum shit. Damn RIP smh
ReplyDeleteSad to hear that-no parent should bury their child-May her soul rest in peace
ReplyDeleteThis truly is a sad news. My whole heart goes out to Mr El-Rufai and family. May you find strength and divine comfort in God to bear this great loss in the family.
ReplyDeleteRIP gal!!! God knws best
ReplyDeletealone or with people a friend of mine lost her 24 years old sister just like that. The girl had developped a brain tumor at 16 and had been treated for it in france thou she was released by doctors, she was still getting ceasures as a result of the previous condition. it was 2 weeks after she just got her master degree and the family was ready to head to church, the girl decided to run in the house to use the bathroom and she had a ceasure in there it was a matter of minutes the impatient mom went in to check on her, only to find her dead on the floor.
ReplyDeleteI took it for granted that I would see Yasmin in the news one day...just not for this.
ReplyDeleteYasmin was a beautiful person in so many ways, an amazing friend and she had such a big heart.. All the plans, all the dreams now lay with her.Her friendships cut across, religious and ethnic lines.
It is sad but Jesus knows all! Rest in peace dear one.
allah knows all, not jesus, anyway said news
ReplyDeleteMay Allah forgive her sins and grant her jannat-ul-firdaus
ReplyDelete@kevin,
