  7. Vanguard reported that Lady Ogoke was said to have stopped near a popular restaurant in Ikenegbu Layout to buy recharge card when she was accosted by the gun-wielding hoodlums and taken away. Just a week after the funny Operation Rescue Imo was launched. Na waoo. State security falls right on the laps of the governor and If the government can’t provide common security for a commissioner, then what the hell is the government doing? This na free madness-o. The mission for all Imolites now should be ‘ rescue the rescuer

To me Governor Okorocha is no doubt indirectly contributing to the escalation of crime and insecurity in Imo state. How can he be sacking workers and not expect kidnapping and other crimes. Mark Bekee mentioned thus in a forum ‘How can workers in Imo State be owed up to 4 months of salary on the pretence that the government is doing staff verification to fish out ghost workers? Meeen, if owing workers for extended length of time is what the “rescue imo” entails then, I’m afraid Imo state could be in for “shit” which would not bode well for security in the state.’

Mark also said ‘Really, it is well past time for this Owelle’s administration to get down to real governance that addresses the welfare of the masses, rather than indulging in hype, subterfuge and make- belief! Any act of government that negatively impacts on the welfare of the people is a sham and even a fraud! Owellemania cannot be allowed to slide into a nightmare for the people…the rescue mission must start with the ship of state as a matter of urgency, before it runs aground and sinks the people with it!’

  8. This kidnap is the handwork of Ohakim, his criminal gang and the Opposition party in Imo State. It is their attempt to criticise and humiliate Rochas government by kidnaping his commissioner, and undermine the government's efforts in the war against kidnapping and crime.  Ohakim must be dealt with and taught a lesson.
