Bride With The Longest Veil; It's 3km-long

This bride's veil is 28 times the length of Manchester United's Old Trafford pitch. It is 3km (1.86 mile) long, made from 6,000 metres of silk chord and it took dozens of seamstresses several months to complete it.

Designer, Gianni Molaro made the dress for Italian bride, Elena De Angelis in the village of Casal di Princice and it took hundreds of schoolgirls and women to carry the veil from the bride's home, through the streets and to the church.

Elena has broken the world record for the longest wedding dress...

De Angelis married her partner Ferdinand Pucci

  7. What was the point of making it that long? Is it some sort of Italian culture or symbol?! If it isn't then the couple clearly had a lot of money to waste on silk because that must have taken up half of the total cost of the wedding.

  13. Well... I see this in two sides: madness and record breaking. The couples wanted a wedding that will fit into the Guiness Book of Record and had to go all the way crazy... Congrats mad couple!

  18. The things people will do to get attention. The work in marriage begins after the Guinness Book of Records, the veil has been put away and the revelers have gone home. The husband already looks like he was not pleased with the stunt.
