This bride's veil is 28 times the length of Manchester United's Old Trafford pitch. It is 3km (1.86 mile) long, made from 6,000 metres of silk chord and it took dozens of seamstresses several months to complete it.
Designer, Gianni Molaro made the dress for Italian bride, Elena De Angelis in the village of Casal di Princice and it took hundreds of schoolgirls and women to carry the veil from the bride's home, through the streets and to the church.
Elena has broken the world record for the longest wedding dress...
De Angelis married her partner Ferdinand Pucci
This is just stupid, waste of time.

ReplyDeleteLOL...so she was in church already and her veil was still in the middle of the streets somewhere following behind her. It`s quite funny actually.
ReplyDeleteWhat was the point of making it that long? Is it some sort of Italian culture or symbol?! If it isn't then the couple clearly had a lot of money to waste on silk because that must have taken up half of the total cost of the wedding.

ReplyDeleteThe husband looks highly displeased. I hope he didn't have to pay for that monstrosity of a wedding dress!
ReplyDeletewow! Totally senseless.. Seems like everyone's trying to create or break some kind of record in today's world... I've created the record as the first Nigerian dude to write the above statement on a blog site.. #gbam
ReplyDeleteWell... I see this in two sides: madness and record breaking. The couples wanted a wedding that will fit into the Guiness Book of Record and had to go all the way crazy... Congrats mad couple!

ReplyDeleteThe things people will do to get attention. The work in marriage begins after the Guinness Book of Records, the veil has been put away and the revelers have gone home. The husband already looks like he was not pleased with the stunt.
ReplyDeletewaste of time and money. they will soon divorce. i give dem 2 years max.
ReplyDeleteif she used the material to help the needy that needs clothes, it would ave been a beta idea... waste of resources in this resource scares world...mttcheeww!!
