The Wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs Mercy Odochi Orji condemns in totality violence against women as she is in the forefront of championing the course of womanhood and promoting the girl child education, advocating against child abuse, labour and trafficking; teenage pregnancy and
prostitution.
She is hereby appealing for a lead to help bring the perpetrators of therape case to book as investigations are on going at the Abia State University to get the five men gang who allegedly raped a young woman;whether it took place in the University or outside the University or anywhere else.
As a Mother, she is appealing to the young girl that was abused to pick up courage and come forward and help investigators fish out the scoundrels.
The shame she feels not withstanding; such an action will help to put astop to such criminality.
Mrs Mercy Odochi Orji
Wife Of the Governor, Abia State
The email i sent her:
ReplyDelete"Heartless Bitch, You had an opportunity to win the hearts of Nigerians but you chose to hide when the clarion call to stand up and be counted came.
Now that all the work has been done, you want to reap recognition where you did not sow. Hide in shame. Madam first lady. You are a disgrace to womanhood. "
Abeg go siddon for hot stove!did her office not deny the heinous crime without investigating it in the first place? wicked people without any concern for the citizenry forgeting she is a mother as well as a woman too. thank God for the outcry by the public non-governmental organizations these nitwit Abia political office leaders would have swept the matter under the carpet. we dont need your open letter biko like isaid go siddon 4 hot stove!
ReplyDeleteWas she and her husband high on something when they denied it without investigation? My own state! Am sick.

ReplyDeleteSomeone should tell this woman to shut up. first she tried to sweep it under the table while trying to make political capital over this mess.
ReplyDeleteShe is probably trying to save her friends son or something.
Please disappear from here...nasty woman!!!
Her excellency certainly didn't think this case was worth investigating. Now she wants leads on the whereabouts of the rapists because this is now a high profile case.
ReplyDeleteIt's a real shame that her husband does not remember that he was elected to serve and protect the citizens and inhabitants of the state and she remind him lest he forget.

ReplyDeleteWell, she is a good woman,i'm just trying to air my view.
So shameful. But I dont blame her alone, I also blame the sycophants around our politicians who never tell them the entire truth. Surely she must have been advised/ coaxed into issuing that initial statement. I only feel sorry for 'Her Excellency'.

We are not interested in your sermon.
We the Nigerian youth will seek justice our own way, within the confines of the law.
All we ask for is that men like Bolaji Abdullahi will continually stand on te side of truth and justice.
You and your husband and uneducated advisers can go shove your press releases up your backside.
Na only 9ja this kain thing dey happen.U mean this woman can actually open her mouth to tell us to help her bring the perpetrators to book after the quick conclusion that it didn't happen in her state.

ReplyDelete@ Madam First Lady: Wrong move ma'am!
Thank God for people like Linda Ikeji who are bold enough to publicise these things. I am a Nigerian living abroad, and am so proud of how the Nigerian public is getting more of a voice thanks to social media. The goverment suddenly have nowhere to hide. Please pray relentlessly concerning these thugs - that they get prosecuted and punished. I have been fasting about this and hope others can do the same. You're doing this not just for current victims, but also potential victims. Nigeria simply cannot tolerate scum like this. You'll be amazed at how swiftly God will wipe these animals the face of this earth if we pray collectively.
ReplyDeleteGosh! I am appalled at the type of humans that call themselves our "leaders". This shameless excuse for a woman should just shut her trap and get over her self. If she were smart she won't comment on this case again, she came out here with all guns blaring that nothing like this happened. These women are just illiterates who happened to marry politicians and with that they think they can call the shots in other people's lives. Let her go and seat at home and manage the home front. Rubbish!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat is wrong with this woman? 1st she denies this ever happened, then she is so so desperately trying to latch on to this incident as a PR opportnity. whoever is her PR person is doing a shoddy job.
ReplyDelete"The Wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs Mercy Odochi Orji condemns in totality violence against women as she is in the forefront of championing the course of womanhood and promoting the girl child education, advocating against child abuse, labour and trafficking; teenage pregnancy and
prostitution." This same line, the exact same line, was in her last press release. Cant she see that her desperation to appear good is so visible and so not true???????
dumb broad!Bitch oshi
ReplyDeleteSmh... as more and more evil acts against women are coming to light! It's painful but so needed to get people to take action. People we have to get priorities in line. To the governer's wife if you really want to help this survivor, ask around! If she's a student someone knows her. Go to her and offer assistance. If anyone knows this young lady please send her name in to the police or governer's email. She's obviously terrified. C'Mon, this is not difficult to solve. Agreeing with most comments the authorities are slack. Offer cash a reward or scholarship for the names of the survivor and animals involved. I'm willing to donate money towards the resolution of this horrible case.
ReplyDeleteTHESE KINDS OF WOMEN ARE VERY DANGEROUS SHE HAS SEEN THE INTERNATIONAL BACKLASH, AND WANTS TO SEIZE THE MOMENT TO GARNER SOME UNDESERVED ATTENTION....THESE KINDS OF WOMEN ARE THE TYPE THAT WILL TURN THE OTHER CHEEK EVEN IF THEIR OWN DAUGHTERS ARE ABUSED,AND EVEN BLAME THE GIRL SO AS TO PLEASE THEIR HUSBAND AND NOT RUFFLE ANY FEATHERS...TOO LITTLE TOO LATE SHAMELESS!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope the rapists gets arrested and locked away for life. Left with Mr & Mrs Orji of Abia State Nigeria, this case will have been killed off. I doubt their current motive. It's either to kill off the case or use the outcome for their selfish advantage. This current press release is what Mr T. Orji should have issued when he was informed of the case. Mr T Orji is a politician and always will be a politician - totally useless, hopeless and not fit for purpose. I say throw him out of office.
ReplyDeleteImagine dis hypocrite.....saying one tin b4 & now saying anoder tin. Stop being a two-sided BITCH!!!
ReplyDeleteImagine dis hypocrite.....u said one tin b4 now u r saying anoder tin. Shut up & stop been a two-sided BITCH!!!

Ah Ah, Madam no bi denied the issue, how comes now u dey campaign for women right? As a mother ,this is not fear ohh.
ReplyDeleteAnon 26 Sept @7.45am. Engage brain before commenting. The case to which you refer saw an outcry by the oba's community and is now being tried in court. Given the swift way the authorities acted in that case, other than the heinous crime, there is no comparison.
ReplyDeleteI don't unedrstand why you felt the need to bring that up 'cept to say you wanteed to bring tribe into it. Please try not be so foolish next time. All Nigerians, regardless of tribe or tongue are justfiably outraged at these goings on and we should all be united in trying to put a stop to all forms of violence that threaten to tear the fabric of our society. Get a grip!!
