I only listened to a minutes of this song and I'm already in love with this artist. This is some refreshing beat with some really deep and incite-full lyrics. This is how a music should sound; soft and edifying to the body and soul. PS: Officially this is now my midnight song for taking peeps to Heaven(If you get what I mean) loool.
very nice song but i don't like the concept of the video.as a new(unknown)artist make a simply video where we can SEE you not putting a bunch of women singing.i'm not sure if she appeared in the video, who ever directed this video didn't try
In a world full of rubish music this is refreshing... kind of like listening to Sade if ur into that type of music. I don't think she'll be a huge COMMERCIAL success, but its like sipping Baileys, nice smooth sweet, but sold in a time when everyone wants ogogoro.
Dosumu, why do you need a midnight song to take people to heaven? If the action isn't sweet, no amount of midnight songs will take anyone to heaven. LOL!
@ mee Totally agree with you. An unknown artist needs a video that puts her out there. It's too early for her to make a video full of other people without her in it. Dumb video, good music.
I'm wondering why people are taking a piss @ the video. The concept is dope and the song is better. Widen your horizon and you'll understand the video better. This music is universal and appeals to all race. PS: She knows her stuff
The video might not appeal to many of the people complaining about the concept. But if you think about it, it makes perfect sense. First, is like Dosumu said, it appeals to all (very universal with all the different ladies from all walks of live). Second and I think very important is that it has the audience asking questions...Who is the artist/singer?. The second you ask this question, your curiosity increases and our tendency is to google her, so in essence she is getting the exposure she seeks. The only thing is that she went about it from a diffrent angle than what is considered norm.
@ VF Homegirl, I'm star in. At the pic thinking to myself, that looks just like Chinny Anne! But had convinced myself it wasn't till I saw ur comment. Who knew homegurl could sing! Good stuff
I agree. Great song but in this day and age people have short attention spans. This may have worked in the 90's to create that mysterious appeal but its not going to work in this day and age where there are artists popping out left and right. Its a nice song but it's just forgettable and the concept of the video doesn't help either.
@ Anonymos July 9, 2011 3:25 PM Pardon me for having a good taste in music. I sincerely apologise for my high standards in listening to quality music. Do yourself a favour and start edifying your soul with better music cause you really do need it.
