  15. Naija sef, since when does one trade mark fruit! Abi dem dey grow the tree for im papa house?
WHo cares if Edible Arrangements does it?
Who cares if XYZ fruitious does it?
who cares if you do it?

Point is the person above saw a market and put their creativity to work. How do you know they didnt start before Edible Arrangements? Is it because they decided to advertise now?

Thats like seeing one company's wedding decor and say its same as another. There's something called the internet and people take their ideas from everywhere. You can only trademark what you rightfully own!

This is creative, I no sabi the owner but I wish I had same skills jare, I for open my own too!

  18. Anonymous What are they doing that is different from edible arrangements?
I am seing the sme grapes and cherries and the same cantaloupes Edible Arrangements uses.. just cause they call themselves different?
Please... they could have at least try to do something nice with local fruits then they would stand out... I wonder the cost of that nonsense if you are in lagos and working with imported fruits... SMH

  19. @chichiluv, ur oversabi can be much sometimes or should I say all the time. so 2 ppl cannot do the same thing. Is it only hallmark that makes greeting cards???Do you think edible arrangements are the only ones that make fruit arrangements???? There are so many other companies that have the same idea, You don't have to tell us that you know the company edible arrangements. You always try to sound all proper on here, pls go and sit down somewhere.

    BTW, very lovely idea.

  20. Peju did my birthday fruit tree last year. she is really good at what she does and very helpful too

  21. Peju ladipo and i finished from the same Secondary School(St.Louis Grammar School, Ibadan) in 1998, neva she could be this creative, thumbs up girlfriend! the sky is your starting point.

    ReplyDelete
  22. chichi love obviously does not know the meaning of trade mark. what a shallow comment from her. Besides edibles only do the small baskets. This is creativity on another level. the trees are amazing

    ReplyDelete
  23. chchi love is really local. you can only trademark what is rightfully yours. The displays are rightfully for this company so why should it be trademarked by edibles?

    ReplyDelete
  24. @Dlapikin, what they do is different cos edibles do not do the fruit trees. People should look well before opening mouth i beg. I love this creativity

  25. Anon June 21, 2011 12:15 AM; don't you or rather, who doesn't?

Yes i must admit i do comparisons a lot. Waitrose or M and S, Sainsburys or Tesco, Selfridges or Harrods, Sho Mya or Bolanle, BA or Virgin Atlantic, Bahamas or the Maldives, g-string or French knickers, Linda’s blog or Bella Naija......

The day i want to do this fruity thing, i’ll know who to go to; fruity arrangement or fruity things! Beautiful displays TBH.

One thing though, how does this work in Nigeria with all the flies? I guess you will only do this in an indoor venue!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Very nice, can't wait to taste some.

    ReplyDelete
  27. @Ch5335ng if you open your eyes and read the writeup, you will see that this business operates in London not Nigeria. I dont think there is anything to hate about this business because i think this lady is really creative. I am based in nigeria and i would not mind this sort of business too , i am really inspired.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Anon June 21, 2011 11:30 AM; people are international now with their businesses and they operate over continents. Are you telling me if someone invites her from here to go to Lagos for this she will say no? Put on your thinking cap please! I just asked a question and your response was dense and thuggish.

Now open your ears and hear me out, you that are stuck in Nigeria, how will you “copy” this and keep the flies away! Tell me please....Madam copy copy.

  29. Anonymous 9.41am- you had to state you went to the same school, state the year and all that???

People like to associate with success sha, it's good. LOL

ALL THIS BECAUSE OF FRUIT? DAMN! -_-
it all looks sexy to me, or is that weird to say fruit looks sexy? oh well! haha lol

    ReplyDelete
  32. @June 21, 2011 9:41 AM , like seriously, did you have to give out all that information? what does the school she went to and the year she finished have to do with this feature? that was really unnecesary and daft!
You might as well tell us her grades in school then!
Some people can be really silly!

I love this lady's work jare.

  33. woooww this is BEAUTIFUL! i am loving it

  34. Anon June 21, 2011 9:41 AM; is celebrating her school mate & i don't see anything wrong with it.

This is nice. Makes eating fruits yummy. The flies should stay away though. Even in London i've seen flies in some places especially in the summer. Summer barbecues are known to attract flies.

    ReplyDelete
  35. LWTMBO... All this talk for a fruit display? Women have major issues.

@Ch5335ng... Are you ShoMya? Because you write like her o- I know because I read her magazine blog regularly. And please I warned you before, do not put Bolanle and ShoMya on the same line- let ShoMya pay her dues...

FYI, I live in Nigeria and my cousin does fruit trees"simply fruits", depending on the venue you do not need to worry about flies. Take a chill pill lady.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I said I HOPE trade mark infringement cata cata no go burst DO YOU FOOLS KNOW WHAT THE WORD "HOPE" MEANS? I wasn't sure which is WHY I SAID HOPE so which was is over sabi and local for there? Obviously all of you with your smart ass comments are the ones that need to zip it up and some ASSuming things! You see those first three letters? That's exactly what you are!

There is not difference between this and what Edible arrangements does, I was just pointing out that is it a similar idea. DID I PUT THEM DOWN, NO! I JUST POINTED OUT THE OBVIOUS!

I LOVE that my name just seems to draw all sort of responses. Just spell it right, BIAtCHESSSSSSSSSSSS!

    ReplyDelete
  37. she probably got trained to do this...and then from there started her own business. no she did not sleep , had a dream, wake up and voila, came up with this idea. i still wish her success

    comparethemarket.com..lool lwkmd.
I concur ch5335ng shd change her name to comparethemarket.com

    i love this business

    ReplyDelete
  41. Grace perhaps you are as dumb as that Anon. You are quite dense i must say. That’s how people fail their exams. I asked a simple question.

Anon June 21, 2011 3:59 PM; i’m not Sho Mya. I’m just as pretty and she obviously writes well!!!!!
I know of her through her cousins. In all honesty, i wanted to write Kemi or Bolanle but after the Kemi post, i decided not to write her name again.

You cannot warn me on making a comparison. Are you God? LOL. Comparisons make up our daily lives abroad because it gives us a shedload of choices.

I like how you said Sho Mya has to pay her dues. She’s new and she’s doing well so i guess she’ll get there.

Thanks also that there’s someone in Lagos who can do this and will take those dragon flies into consideration. Of course it has to be an indoor setting, but even at that those flies will still find their way somehow. Also, hotels like L’Meridian, Sheraton and Protea will not allow you to bring in your own food. Boring.

@Annon June 21 5:14pm, and so what if she puts it on her facebook? that to me is a good business strategy. Linda ikeji's blog rates number one here in Nigeria and alot of people outside Nigeria come here too so pls stop being sarcastic! SMH

We do our party in halls in london not on streets. we sure do not have problems with "dragon" flies here. I have heared about this company and all i have heared have been very positive. I can only wish them the very best of luck

    ReplyDelete
  55. wow! What creativity! I'm impressed

    ReplyDelete
  56. Anon June 22, 2011 2:32 PM

No one talked about having a party in the street in London. Looks like your scope! If it’s not in a hotel/hall, then people use marquees. That’s where the flies come in. It’s similar in Lagos. I’ve gone to weddings in TBS, Federal Palace, Peninsula, Ocean View and all those open places and the flies are something else. You must be so “street” to talk about a street party. Isn’t that banned BTW?
