Can ex-lovers remain friends?

 Ex-lovers, Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake at the New York premiere of their new movie, Bad Teacher, some days ago.

Someone said: "If two past lovers can remain friends, it's either they were never in love, or they still are."
Do you agree? Please share your thoughts on this. This question is not about the couple above, just generally speaking...

    It's not a hard and fast rule. IMO, i think she's the one who's still in love with him.

    u can still be friends jo.....must it always be drama drama drama. altho i would say, its a lot easier to do wen theres still alot of emotion involved (so u guys would eventually get back together) or when there absolutely no emotion involved

    why not,exlovers can be friends,my ex is my bestfriend,he is everything to me even the fact we`ve gone our different ways,he is always there whenever i need him.

    LOL smh its HOLLYWOOD! DUUUUUUH! they don't hvta be "in love" most of them are just sexually attracted to each other nuthin more. Hey and its a movie, they ain't tryna mess with their money because of their issues . like someone said man must chop. lol

    all of u got linda's question wrong in a way. she didnt say an ex couldnt be one's friend. she only asked about the reason behind it.
    so all of u saying u are still friends with ur ex, can u please tell us if u are still in love or if u never loved the person.

    my ex doesn't want us to stay in touch so we don't speak we don't even have each others number,when i see him on messenger and say hi he doesn't respond and this is like 4yrs since we broke up. don't know if its becos i'm the one that ended it.

    I dont see a problem in been good friends with ur ex, I am still veryclose frnd with my ex even tho we are both dating different people now and I'm engaged to be married in October, we are still very close to d extent that he still reminds me when to renew my vehicle papers cos he used to do it himself while we were dating.

    abeg, i dont tink its so posible especially if u still have the hots 4 d guy,i mean, a guy i had a terrible crush on at school cald d oda day and i was very cold, amean , why call me , wen u've gotten married 2 someone else.i dont tink i can make a movie wit him, talkless of being that chummy chummy wit him again
