  5. Too over the top for me jare.
marriage is more than just the proposal. IT'll be a darn shame if after this, the marriage doesnt work out.

I had a great proposal at one of the world's heritage sites but Linda its more than wanting a fairy tale proposal and more so about daily preparing for a lifetime of marriage. A good marriage doesnt just happen, takes preparation spiritually, mentally and emotionally even before you say I do.

Ummm I'll pass on it. I live around the corner from the Americana, so I can imagine folks shopping joined in the fun.Its a beautiful place at night, with the water fountain.
    LOL@ her dress

  9. KATE AND WILLIAM GOT NOTHING ON THIS COUPLE! over the top, off the roof, too dramatic, whatever..... i don't care.
it is obvious that a lot of thoughts has gone into the preparation..
give me a thoughtful man any day any time!
They seem so in love, wish them all the best..

  10. So according to you (Linda) some women have luck because of the way they are being proposed to?

  13. Too much going on. I don't think its the "Best Marriage Proposal Ever". Its a bit corny and cheesy. Sorry.

  14. This is a film nau.....it looks staged!

    ReplyDelete
  15. a little bit too much efizzie for my liking, almost like a reality tv show..

I wish them both a happy married life!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Not really my cup of tea. Way too over the top and considering it was filmed for a show, i don't buy it much as the shows producers would dictate everything that should occur just for ratings. Nothing spontaneous about this. Happy for them though and wish them the best!

  17. Fantastic! I'm loving creativity. Wish naija is like America with full 'Active" talents 24. Oh my Gosh!!!

  19. the girl has a pretty oyinbo face but needs to shed some weight..they shld have taken her somewhere to dress properly...who told him she would have accepted the proposal?? is it by force what if she said no?? i am not being cynical but i'm just sayin!!

  20. I thought it was cute at first .. then it started getting over the top dot (.) com ... I admire the creativity and thought process but still too much.

  21. @virteuos woman....so true...this was a reality tv show organized by howie of americas got talent who came out to talk to them......i dont think they did any more after this pilot cos it didnt get any ratings.........it was just too much......

@blacknight....yes oo00..i am an unadulterated naija babe living in the "western world"......and na only few oyibo pepper go let u pull this crap on them.....not trying to sound cynical...but why would u want to take away the joy of her preparing for the wedding....its the love and commitment dat goes into the preparation that makes it a happy day......they should have stopped at the engagement......it was all too much

@linda.....this one no be luck....na huge deposit for their bank account if they had gotten good ratings......

Why would i want to be balling my eyes out with mascara running down my face on my wedding pictures and video.....and have half of the homeless people in the US in those pictures......looking like someone died...mchew....

  22. Nice! What if she said no after all that? It was so nice, it will be hard to say no in front of all these people and on national TV!-lol

    ReplyDelete
  23. This was a show"MOBBED" by Howie Mandel...It aired months ago.... Everything was planned and staged except that the bride had no clue..It was too dramatic

  24. temiishawt you are the perfect example of those nigerian babes that make nigerian guys generalise girls! i pity the guy that would want to date you! tufiakwa!!!

see as some people have already come here with their self hate thinking the world will be so much better if they have someone with white skin. disgusting fools.

  26. I'm a helpless romantic but even this was a little too over the top for me.
    Can u say OVERKILL!!!!!
He should have stopped at d proposal. Ahn ahn Proposal and wedding within a span 15minutes??
Look at her dress and make-up. Were they kidding? loool

    Nonetheless, cool stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Linda, you mean the most stupid proposal/wedding ever? This is way too much! He should've stopped at the proposal. He just took away the joy of her preparing for the wedding day and trying on dresses and all. He seems controlling anyways. Way too over the top.

  28. No its not the best.
The best is Femi Adebayo slapping the hell out oF Queen Nwokoyes chacract in Ladies Men (the movie)

    Watch that movie.

    Its the new naija trend

    Slap proposal

  29. @temiishawt, you are a Nigerian babe so please don't flatter yourself into thinking a non-Nigerian guy would want you.

You will lucky sef to get Togolese guy to want you. SMH

  30. Now this is is some crazy chit!, cast crew and resources to shot more than 20 nollywood movies. men i think sometimes we need to go with the flow.

Thank God say i don marry, but gatta do something like this for my wife at least i would be sure of no surprises myself.

    Linda u dey try sha.

  31. na for phone dem propose to me o! i quickly say yes b4 them go move to next on d line lol! no regrets been 5 lovely yrs. but the babe try didn't ve to pick her gown or bridal colours, i for ask for anoda wedding jare!

  32. It's so touching that someone would go to this length to propose to his girlfriend. Cheesy or corny, I don't care, I just know this is VERY thoughtful.

    ReplyDelete
  33. It's ok but I think it's a little over the top. A simpler and less-populated proposal would have had the same effect.

    ReplyDelete
  34. too over the top! if my boyfriend does this i will say no! why cant we have a simple proposal with me and u or a few friends and family. I dont need all that gra gra to show that u love me. *thumbs down*

    ReplyDelete
  35. It's sooooo suuwiiiiit. Weda it was love talking or money, if this marriage ever breaks God will personally come down n slap d sit outta d devil that caused it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. people! people!! get over yourselves; Wedding Proposal should be something memorable, and people choose what and how they want that special day to be remembered depending on the things she likes.
For instance, I proposed to my wife on a private cruise i organised for that purpose, overlooking the important place in our life.
Nigerian culture is not known for Wedding Proposing or things like this..but how would you want to remember your engagement theme or story?

I absolutely love this..its the thought and love behind that counts..May God bless their union as well as mine.
