  12. stunning! This woman is even more beautiful now than the period she was crowned as a beauty queen!!

Makes me wonder how her children would have looked? You never know, she just might have one as anything is possible..

I recently saw the child of another former beauty queen, Regina Askia, and geez, she is just as stunning as her mum

As for the outfits, I love the fourth picture the most.

Finally well done to the stylist(Bola)

  14. Legally married? We saw the traditional wedding. Anyway, marriage na marriage.

Wikipedia says she read Politics at University of Essex. That is wrong.

For years the Nigerian media said the same until Nike revealed that she did not finish her studies at Essex because she went to Nigeria to become a beauty queen.

Wiki can lie... She does not need a degree anyway, for what? Did Michael Jackson or Bill Gates have on?

Nike is pretty anyway and I like her because she has accepted her fate as per 'pitter-patter' and moved on. Nice pics.

  24. I am pretty sure her name is NIKE OSHINOWO not Mrs. Soleye.

She might be married to a man named Soleye, but HER NAME is Nike Oshinowo.

Linda, why do you constantly refer to women on your blog in such a patriarchal manner?

It's not just this post that is problematic, your other post was asking whether a married actress should be acting in a sex scene.

She is an ACTRESS. Her job is to ACT.

Did you ask whether married actors should be doing sex scenes? No. So why are you asking if actresses should?

    Seriously, it is beyond problematic.

Nike Oshinowo is an accomplished woman not the appendage of her husband and for you to describe her only in terms of the man that she married is offensive and insulting and belittles her and her achievements.

Afterall, do you see the man in any of the pictures? No.

This photoshoot is about NIKE OSHINOWO and nobody else.

  25. @steez.com

I would like to know too. Some women hate on her because the lady deliberately decided not to have kids. I don't know why nigerians are such hypocrites! Nigeria is so over populated and we have many nigerians make so many babies that they lack the finances to adequately care for. These kids grow up and become the 419 scammers the world sadly knows us for and the drug traffickers that get caught and executed every so often in Asia.

So, if she does not want kids, what is the beef? do I sense envy considering that nigerian mothers are so stressed out and overworked caring for the children since the men do nothing but just sit there like a stone under the water?

Are nigerians (especially the women) jealous of her because she is looking fabulous at her age while nigerian women who are in their twenties and thirties married with kids are looking haggard, unkempt, and a shaddow of themselves while their husbands run after university chicks?

Lastly, having kids does not gurantee that they (kids) will take care of you in old age. That you birthed someone does not mean they owe you shi-shi. They owe you absolutely nothing especially if your selfish broke ass intentionally brought them into this world to suffer. They might just have you suffer too in old age all alone like you deserve!

  26. some of u drive me nuts with ur comments. so @sugabelly, it's an offense to call a woman by her husband's name? we all know her name is Nike Osinowo, we all know she's accomplished a lot, i never even heard of the man until she started dating him, i'm one of those who admire her, how am i belittling her? my goodness, some of u need to relax, wow!

  30. Anonymous 3:32am, she didnt chose not to av kids, its just that she cant av children bcos she had endometriosis, its a gyneachological issues that debar women from having kids if not detected on time. and to me she is not looking good at 44, my mum @ 58 looks better and i @ 33 looks far better. To me she is plastered not looking fab really.

  32. Anon; May 10, 2011 11:43 AM; it’s not everything you read that you should believe. I know so many women who have had endometriosis and they are mothers. My guardian in London is one of them and she has 4 kids. Nike will always tell a story so leave that alone.

I like the clothes but she looks like a mannequin. In reality her nose is not this pointed, it’s pointed but it looks really slim here. Except of course she’s tampered with it yet again...

Sugabelly; wow! Nike will gladly say “I’m Mrs Soleye” There’s a reason why we have maiden names and “nee.” Believe me that’s her main achievement. Good luck to Uncle Tunde!!

Sugarbelly have read couple of your comment on here, you sound so childish, you need to grow up for a 22yrs old 'girl' you got a long way to go....

She is a married women, her husband last name is Soleye so Linda can refers to her as Mrs Soleye is absolutely correct. Try and think before you write next TIME....SMH, not everyone should have access to internet and Sugarbelly is one of them.
